Orbit Leasing

Orbits Leasing and Car City are a bunch of crooks! They sold me a lemon back in 2008. I kept telling them it sounded like the transmission was slipping but they kept assuring me it was fine. Toni is extremely rude and should've been fired long ago. In August 2009, I was making a trip from Michigan to Reno, NV. GUESS WHAT! The transmission went out in the middle of Nowhere, WY. (Laramie, WY to be exact). And of course they refused to help me fix it. So.....I left the van in Laramie and took the Greyhound the rest of the way to Reno. Spent time with family and took the train home to MI. Later I got a car from JD Byrider. Much friendlier staff and more willing to work with you. Stay away from Car City and Orbits Leasing. Avoid them like the plague!!! more

I have to say I will Never buy a vehicle from this company again. First of all they sold me a vehicle that had been damaged and didnt mention this when it was sold. Second, They never report your credit like other JDByrider does and are always ready to shut your vehicle down and have it towed. Last but not least, they failed to explain that when I finish with the payments that there is a $1500.00 fee to purchase this vehicle...almost forgot...forget about price..you have to pay sticker plus 18% interest on your loan...ROBBERY!!!!Would have been good to know at the start. I currently live in Nebraska and give a shout to all my Michigan friends...AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!! Recommend JDByrider!!!! more

Oh my, the worst customer service that i've had to deal with over the time period of about two years with orbit leasing has been the worst ever. Reading everyone's comments, i can't see how ""Tony"" and Linda are still with the company.I too have tried to speak professionally with them to make arraingments from time to time and had to ask for Tony's supervisor whom was just as rude. When asked to speak with somone else,I was told that their is no one else. This last time i tried to get till the end of month to get my payment in and was told"" No"",Carmen, you know you're not going to pay till the third when all i said was ""That's as far as i can see was the third but was going to work on getting payment in before then"".My car was shut down. Now i get a letter saying what i promised to do. What part of that don't they understand.""You shut the dam car off,we never came to an agreement, you did what you thought was best but i lost money by not having transportation.Carmen \r more

I'd give it a negative 5 stars if I could. Run, just run away. This place is terrible, and I guarantee you can do better somewhere else. more

I HAD THOUGHT THAT I WAS THE ONLY ONE ""TONY'' GOT S**TY WITH, BUT I GUESS NOT. THEY TRAP YOU IN TO BUYING,OR I THOUGHT I WAS BUYING & IT TURNS OUT TO BE A LEASE, CAR CITY DOES NOT TELL YOU THAT. YOU RUN IN TO A LITTLE TROUBLE PAYING ONE MONTH & TONY TREATS YOU LIKE A PECIE OF SCUM!!!!!!! THEY SHOULD GET RID OF HER & THEN MAYBE THEY WONT BE TO BAD TO DEAL WITH. This is company has the worst customer service person by the name of Toni, she is the rudest person I have ever dealt with from any company in all my years. She called my 86yr old father and was very, very nasty to him-she was rude and nasty to my sister and my niece! I refuse to be treated like this or anyone in my family treated like this. It is now worth having a car when you have to deal with the likes of her. more

I felt like I had hit bottom- I had a husband (now EX) that screwed me and my credit over, and I needed a car, but no one would touch me because my credit was crap. My credit union turned me down, and even Lending tree wouldn't touch me. So I ended up going to Car City HOPING I could get financed there. The sales guy was really cool and didn't make me feel like I was ""just another person"". I wish I could remember his name, but e got me financed through Orbit Leasing, and I was thrilled. Okay.... I was happy but a little worried. I never had a lease before, and I didn't want to get screwed over because I was trying to rebuild my credit, and I was going to be a single mom soon, and I just didn't need the hassle. Seriously, I don't get the other reviews on here. My experience was not like the others. Everyone I spoke with was really cool to me. If I couldn't make my payment on the due date, I called them, and I had to tell them when exactly I was going to pay, and everything was great. I don't think I ever went past a week over my due date during the whole lease. There was one woman there who kinda acted a little like she was a hard @ss, but later on, she really grew on me. As long as I was upfront and honest, she was a total doll. She even explained the whole GPS thing to me. And really, it made sense. I NEVER wanted my car to get shut off, so knowing that the GPS was there, I made sure I always made my payment when it was due. And if I was going to be late, I always ALWAYS called in. In a way it helped me ""help me"" by keeping me on time. I usually spoke with either Robin or Toni. They always worked with me, and if I had to do it again, I would. These people treated me great. They didn't hold my hand because they didn't need to. I am a grown-up and I was the one who had the f'd up my own credit. It is what it is. I just paid my truck off (whoo hoo!) and now I also have this lease showing as always paid on time, with a zero balance one my once fried credit report. I have been busting rump trying to repair my credit over the past couple of years and this is helping my score a lot!!! I will probably go back to my credit union in the spring and see if I can get approved through them (if my score is high enough for them). If they won't, I will probably go back to Car City and get my financing done through Orbit again. It's hard to find people that will work with you the way that they worked with me, and I will happily go through them again. I'm sorry some of the other people didn't have the same experience as I did. more

I purchased a vehicle from this place and got it financed through Orbit Leasing. Orbit Leasing has the WORST customer service ever. I called there to explain my situation that my wallet had been stolen and I wouldn't have my payment until the following week. Tony, the CSR there, proceeded to SCREAM at me at the top of her lungs. She called me curse words that I've never even heard before. She wouldn't let me get a word in to explain to her what was going on. I asked to speak to a supervisor and Robin was wonderful. She listened to me at least to what I had to say. Even though it didn't go my way. \r \r I also think these people are crooks. I got my car in July 2010. As of today, the vehicle's engine and transmission are going and Car City/Orbit Leasing is NOT willing to work with me. Its past my warranty. \r \r I also had a situation where my payment was processed online on Saturday morning. I went into work and got out of work at 3PM to find my car was shut off. I called Car City they told me too bad that I was stranded at work until Monday when someone from Orbit Leasing would be in the office. I was absolutely livid. I was stuck at work for 2 days because these people decided not to process my online payment right away. \r \r This place has been nothing but headaches and trouble. Their customer service is horrid. I don't even know how Tony still works there after the way she treated me. \r \r If you can avoid this place, do it. I will be returning my car next week because I would rather have a clunker then have to worry from day to day if one of their account reps will get a wild hair up their butts and turn off my car. \r \r Best of luck to everyone out there who has to deal with these people. more

Just skip this idea. If you can find a car for under a grand and drive it until you can afford something better, DO IT.\r \r First, they run you through a script of how they can finance you. You sign a million papers and are so happy to be getting rid of your dump of a car, that you don't realize (or at least I didn't) what you are getting into. I got home and realized I am paying an insane amount of money for this car. \r \r I got the car home and had a flat tire on a new (35K) mile car and took it in only to find the rims (ALL FOUR) were bent. Nice. When I called Car City/Orbit, I got the runaround, including being on hold for 35 minutes, them telling me ""They lost my car's inspection report"", etc.\r \r I have had my car disabled when THEY credited my payment (with my name, credit card, etc) to the wrong account and then was made to feel like it was my fault, and I was interrupting their very busy day to take the time to straighten it out and get the car back on.\r \r They are very good at making you feel like it is all your fault, while they ""stick it to"" you good. \r \r My car, if I choose to keep it though the lease/payoff, will have cost TWICE as much, IE a 10500 car, ends up costing you 24000. And you still get stuck with repairs.\r \r I would not recommend them to anyone. Pros: Um, they'll get you financed Cons: Everything else more

I hear you. I have had to deal with Orbit Leasing and their CSR Tony. She could certainly use some customer service training. I have paid on-time with no problems for almost three years and am almost paid off. I bounced one check recently (first time ever) and she leaves a couple of rude messages on my voicemail. When I called back she gave me misinformation about how to fix the situation, then when I call back, she tells me she didn't give me that info. Then she proceedes to tell me I need to ""lose my attitude"" or else she's going to ""disable my car."" I called and complained to her supervisor Linda, and got complete apathy. She even had the gull to say ""I'm sorry that this happened, if it indeed did."" Talk about winners, imply that your PAYING customers are liars. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH ORBIT LEASING! PLEASE I WOULD NEVER RECCOMEND THIS COMPANY, VERY VERY DISHONEST LIERS, THERE PRACTICES ARE NOT LEGAL, DONT KNOW HOW THEY CAN REPO A VEHICLE YOUR NOT BEHIND ON PAYMENTS ON?ALL BECAUSE A TOWING COMPANY CALLED THEM AND TOLD THEM TO MOVE THE TRUCK TO ANOTHER LOCATION, AS THE ENGINE BLEW, THIS TRUCK WAS BABIED AS WELL, ALWAYS ON TIME WITH OIL CHANGES, TOOK GOOD CARE OF IT, BY THE WAY, I OWED TWO MORE PAYMENTS ON THE TRUCK FOR A PAYOFF, EVEN GOT A LETTER SAYING YOUR CREDIT IS GOOD WITH US, PLEASE COME AND GET ANOTHER VEHICLE, THEY ARE CROOKS, THEY WILL FIND EVERY REASON WHEN YOUR AT THE END OF MAKING PAYMENTS TO COME AND REPO YOUR VEHICLE FOR MONEY IN THERE POCKET, UNFORTUNATLY THEY MADE A MISTAKE, I ALWAY CROSS MY TS AND DOT MY I, I HAVE ALL PROOF PAYMENTS WERE MADE, AND I HAVE TAPE RECORDINGS OF ALL THE AGREEMENTS AND TRANSACTIONS, ALSO TO THEY NEVER CALLED US WHEN THE TOWING PLACE CALLED THEM, HE HAD 250 A WEEK PRIOR OF MY MONEY AND THAT FRIDAY WE WERE TO PAY HIM 230, HE COULDNT WAIT EVEN THOUGH IN WRITING HE MADE ARRANGEMENT WITH US, BUT DID GET PAID MONEY ALOT OF MONEY, TO TOW THE VEHICLE HOUR AWAY,AS THIS WAS HIS INTENTION ALL ALONG, THE ONLY THING HE COULD DO IS APOLOGIZE AND SAY, WELL ITS OUT OF MY HANDS, BUT THEY DID PAY ME TO TOW IT, DO NOT GO TO PJS TOWING IN MANITOWOC, HES A SHYSTER TO,,,,, Pros: WELL THERE PROS AT BEING CONS Cons: THERE DEFINATLY NOT PROFESSIONAL , THERE OUT TO SCREW YOU EVEN IF ITS NOT LEGAL more
