I heard so many good things about this school, and a few of my friends took the courses there, but I was skeptical of spending my money. I met the manager, Tom, who was extremely professional and friendly. My friend and I visited a free intro class, and we were so convinced that we both left deposits that night! I took the class and the intructor, Jeff, was so helpful. I started with very little knowledge of alcohol, and by the time I was done, I felt like bartending was the easiest thing ever! I've been telling all my friends who are interested in bartending that they definitely need to check out New York Bartending! Pros: awsome faculty!, real bar set-up, fun, worked to MY schedule more

New York Bartending School 5/4/2006

Excellent Instructor, Personable able to grab your attention, Put students at ease and answers questions fully and knowledgably. The school teaches much more than just how to make drinks I enjoyed learning about how spirits are made and learning something on how to appreciate quality wines, spirits and beer. more

Why I chose this school 5/4/2006

I choose this school b/c of its reputation, the environment is very similar to a real bar setting. I also like the refresher cources + job placement. Also great instructor! I like that he is laid back and no too serious. He still tells it like it is and has great knowledge about the business. He makes me feel very comfortable in class. Pros: reputation, similar to real bar, job placement more

Will definatelly recommend 4/26/2006

As a bar owner, my instructor was the most informative and engaging teacher I hoped for. He was extremely knowledgable & patient. He gave all the student equal attention and provoked thought, using speed techniques and tricks to help be a better bartender. He made the class fun and interesting. I think he is an excellent asset to the NYBS. more

Stood out from all the rest 4/25/2006

Actually, I did research on bar schools, even before I moved to N.Y. online, and NYBS stood out from the rest at all time, then I visited schools when I cam out to N.Y. and again NYBS stood out from all the rest, I was also drawn to the international aspect of it. more
