New York Bartending School is the best in NY - based on a research I've done. I got a great education - I've learned more than I expected. Especially about spirits and wine. But also it gave me confidence I needed to start working as a bartender - confidence I couldn't get just from reading a "Bartender's Bible" more

New York Bartending School is the best in NY - based on a research I've done. I got a great education - I've learned more than I expected. Especially about spirits and wine. Other people lie about New York Bartending School - it's small classes, real ice, you don't have people from different levels, attention to detail. Very friendly out going instructors, it helped me feel comfortable. I just had a great time every day. Pros: free class more

Dynamic and Fun 9/24/2006

They give good advice and provide clear explanations. I enjoyed creating our own cocktails during the Absolute Vodka presentation. English isn't my first language, and I understood everything! I had an activity with the Embassy CES english school and I was really surprised, in fact, to see that New York Bartending School exists! I thought I wanted to try it; it's always a good skill to have! more

Five star training for bartenders and bar owners 9/17/2006

I learned everything I needed to know about running a my own bar through New York Bartending School. Everything from creating a cocktail menu to efficient, courteous service tricks and tips. All my bartenders still refer to my flashcards for common and obscure drink/shot recipes. I've sent most of my staff for training there. We are all T.I.P.S. certified through NYBS. My bar is highly rated on citysearch and I attribute a lot of my customer satifaction to the knowledge I received from NYBS. Thank you for all your help! Perdition Bar/Lounge, NYC Pros: Excellent instructors, curriculum, real ice Cons: none that I can think of more

New York Bartending School was the most impressive + had the most positive testimonials on other review websites the website is well done and the Free intro class was great. I had an awesome instructor who made the whole situation fun. He's very cool and knows his stuff. I like his straight up teaching style and his jokes. He seemed to really not want me to screw up and because of that, only made me study harder. He put the bar scene from a bartenders perspective in a tangible format. more

I did research on bartending schools in nyc and new york bartending school had the best credentials + reputation. They were extremely helpful and honest. Taught us everything we needed to know and more without any b.s. more

I wanted the best, and this was the name that kept coming up. My teacher was really cool and down to earth. he knew everything that he needed to know to a tee. There wasn't a question that he could not answer and he was always available to speak whether during, prior or after class more

New York Bartending School - great job!!! 9/7/2006

When I visited the website, I was extremely impressed with all the certifications we get with our license. I knew from there on in, that this school was legit not fake!!! I had a great teacher! The fact that he is very blunt & straight forward means alot because he is not "beating around"! He told us how the "real world" bartending experience would be like. He didn't sugar coat it he did a great job! My favorite experience was when it was Wednesday & I could do most if not all drinks already & I had only started on Monday. You can pick up quickly if you pay attention to what your teacher tells you! more
