Editorial review from Citysearch 1/11/2013

This place has no idea what customer service means!!!!! I can NOT express that enough. First they moved and did not inform myself or my bridesmaids. When I mean move I mean from Atlanta to Norcross moved. We figured it out by going to the old building and them no longer being there. SECOND they gave my bridesmaids such the run around about ordering their dresses, it was so dishearting to all of them because it was beyond difficult just to order the dresses. THIRD when I called to see when the dresses would be in they could not find my name or my maid of honors name in the system. I really have NO CLUE how this place is in business!!!! more

Great place to go if you're a plus size bride!! 2/26/2012

I was hesitant about coming to this shop because of a lot of negative reviews I read online... but I have to say, it was actually my best experience in shopping for my wedding dress! I'm a plus size bride and a good amount of bridal stores I went to had a very limited selection for me to try on, which really discouraged and disappointed me. There are more than just skinny girls getting married in the world!! New Natalie's has a GREAT selection of gowns for plus size brides! That was the first thing that really got me when I went there, I actually had a chance to try on a lot of dresses because they went higher than a size 18! Of course they have more dresses for girls who are not plus size... but the selection they have is great. I cannot express to you how impressed I was with their selection. The prices of the gowns are also amazing!! The dress I got from them was the perfect price in my budget. My consultant, Carty, was also great! She was very nice and friendly. She never pressured me into purchasing a gown. In fact, no one at the store did, which I think is great because this is not something you should be pressured into doing. The only thing I did not care for, is the fact that they do not allow you to take pictures unless you purchase the gown. I understand the whole concept of them not wanting you to steal the dress design to make it yourself... but when you try on so many dresses, they all start to look the same and cannot remember which ones you really liked! Other than the whole no taking pictures thing... my overall experience was great! I highly recommend New Natalie's for your bridal dress shopping... especially if you're a plus size bride that would like to have a lot of options to try on! :) more

GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! LOVED THIS PLACE! 1/25/2012

Everybody at New Natalie?s Bridals was extremely nice! The owner of the salon Mr. Posner had an awesome personality and he was very witty which helped to ease the whole bridal experience. I had the chance to work with the consultants Piper and Tia. Piper followed up with answers to the questions I had and Tia helped me to choose a beautiful wedding gown! Tia was very helpful and a pleasure to work with! Ruth is the seamstress who was very sweet and prompt on returning phone calls. Needless to say I left with a beautiful gown, feeling beautiful, and very excited about my special day! I am a loyal client who will encourage new brides to make New Natalie?s their first and last stop. Thanks New Natalie?s Bridals for making me a beautiful soon to be bride! more

Love them! 11/25/2011

I have been to New Natalie's several times... each of which was a GREAT experience. First of all they have a fantastic selection of dresses. Plenty to try on in all different styles. I had no idea what I wanted but my original consultant (Hope) offered GREAT suggestions. I brought my bridesmaids with me the second time I went in to help me choose between two dresses. This time I had the privilege of working with Piper. Another great experience! I can't say enough good things about Hope and Piper. With the help of my bridesmaids I finally decided on my dress and just ordered it today. New Natalie's was offering a 10% off Black Friday special which was really fantastic! We will be ordering the bridesmaids dresses from them as well! more

I had a Wonderful Experience! 10/2/2011

After reading the reviews I was really skeptical of visiting this bridal salon. I went knowing the way it works and expecting poor customer service. However what I received was excellent customer service. I did my research before I arrived and looked at all of the designer's websites and printed photos of the gowns I wanted to try. I was running late so I called to let them know and they said it was ok, see you when you get here. I walked in and there was a lady at the front desk, I started to sign in and she said I didn't have to because I had an online confirmed appointment. She walked me through the store and showed me all the sections and explained the layout of the gowns. I was allowed to choose 5 gowns to start with and you hand them to the guy working the floor who puts them all together. Once you pick 5 you go back to the dressing area where there are signs telling you all of the rules, no photos until the gown is purchased, do not touch the veils, please ask for assistance, due to limited space only the bride and consultant are allowed in the dressing area, and on the stage where the mirrors are. I did have to wait about 40 minutes to try on my gowns but I enjoyed watching the other brides try on their selections and see their reactions. It was a Saturday and they were pretty busy, with about 3 consultants working with the brides. It was my turn to try on gowns and I got Piper, she was FANTASTIC! I'm not modest so I didn't mind having to undress in front of her. We tried the gowns I chose and I enjoyed having someone put the gowns on me where they fit like they should and show me what it would look like with them bustled in the american and french. I wanted to try on more gowns and they said I would have to choose them and go to the back of the line if more brides were waiting to try on gowns, but I got lucky and no one was waiting so Piper and I went out to the floor and picked a few more, and she chose one she thought I would like and I found 2 very affordable and orderable gowns during my visit. Until I found this place I had only found sample gowns that I could afford, now I have two very pretty BRAND NEW options :) Oh and of course they don't let you know who the designer is until you purchase the gown, but if you do your research before hand and know who they carry, it's not that hard to figure out who makes the gown you tried on, unless it's a discontinued style. I found a beautiful Davinci Bridal and a Mori Lee Bridal gown, I know this because I did my research. I have to go back with my mother in law and my mom, so they happily wrote down their style numbers and gave me a card with them on it and they were happy to have me come back later. They were even offering 10% off if you pay in full this past weekend, and additional discounts on the discontinued gowns. I think it is very worth your while if you go knowing the rules. more

Hell to the No!!! 9/26/2011

I am mad as you know what at this people. I went during my lunch break seeking a dress I found online. Of course they did not have it, but got me to try on other dresses. Well, I fell in love with one particular dress. It looked awesome on me. I was by myself so I told them I would have to return so that my mother could view the dress. In my excitement I asked for the dress style number. They gave an in house code and told me I would not know the dress designer until I purchase the dress. So, not only are you not allowed to take pictures; but you can not know what dress you tried on?! I am 38 hot and WILL find it else where. I have not time for silliness... more

Awful! Go Elsewhere!!!! 8/30/2011

Please save your time and money - go somewhere else! I went to New Natalie's with my 6 bridesmaids on a Saturday to look for bridesmaids dresses. One of my bridesmaids called during the week beforehand and was told there was no need tor an appointment because there would be plenty of associates available. Therefore, we arrived in the early afternoon and were surprised to find that no one offered to help us. The dressing room is a big square room with no doors that anyone who wants to try something goes in at the same time. If you're modest, good luck! It was hot ant stale in there, we were all very uncomfortable. When we finally found the dress we wanted (with no help from them), we had to wait about 45 minutes for someone to fit us. After that, the associate who took the deposits for the dress expressed absolutely no politeness or gratitude toward my group. We are buying 6 dresses here! Also, I, the bride, was forced to leave my credit card # incase one of the girls' cards didn't go through later. Nice. No one has called to let us know that the dresses have shipped arrived, even though I've left messages and used the Contact Us on their website. The approximate ship date was early August... To add to the sinking feeling, we found the exact same dress for $60 cheaper online. Just saying, go somewhere else! more

Worst Customer Service Experience Ever! 8/24/2011

In the bridal industry you don't eactly have ""repeat customers"" so this means New Natalie's doesn't give a crap about you. Wish I would have read the reviews... more

Save yourself while you still can! 8/19/2011

I wish I had read all the reviews before I ordered my wedding dress from New Natalie's. ***If you're a poor sap like me and already ordered something from New Natalie's, you better check on its status ASAP.*** Here's my story: I visited New Natalie's in March, 2011. Initially, I was impressed by the selection of dresses, and the place was empty, so I got good service. I did get a little upset because you're not even allowed to take pictures of a gown until you purchase it. I really should have realized something was wrong when I went to check out and the sales-lady didn't even have the right chart! Thankfully I noticed, so I got her to go back and find mine. I paid for my gown in full on March 10th. They emailed me two weeks later saying the estimated ship date from the manufacturer would be July 8th. I started pestering them around July 12th, but I couldn't get any answers! A few people tried to tell me it was the manufacturer's fault... clearly a lie to cover their butt. Now, half-way through August, I am still waiting for it to arrive. I keep calling, and every day someone tells me the owner will call me back, but it hasn't happened. I live in Florida, so I can't actually go in and talk to anyone. I have less than two months until the big day in October. All I can do is pray that by some miracle it will fit perfectly, if it ever gets here. more

The Owner is a Horrible Person 5/16/2011

Horrible Service(from the owner), once my finacee told them she decided to go with a dress from somewhere else their entire attitude changed, and even though she still wanted to use her deposit for a veil or a second dress for our reception they told her NO, the deposit can only be used for a Wedding Gown and if she didn't buy a Gown she couldn't get her Money back or buy anything else from the store with it. more

Liars!!! 5/12/2011

I called New Natalies 2 days before I went in looking for 1 particular dress, and the guy (heavy accent) said that they had it in the size I was looking for and that I should come in. I called in Friday morning and said I will be there between 3 and 4 and I will be on my lunch break, so please pull the dress as I will not have much time. I drove about 30 miles, im not sure of the time it took, but this is Atlanta and around that time was traffic, I went because I was ready to purchase that day so it would come back by my October wedding. When I get there the man had left, and one sales lady says, go on back and look through the racks. I stated that I was only there for one dress and I had to leave. Long story short, they never had the dress in stock. He only wanted me to come in the store and try other dresses. He assured me that the dress was there. I spoke with him on 3 occasions regarding the dress. I overheard a sales person say, I heard him talking to her and he knew the dress was not here. Needless to say I was HOT! I told the owner how inconsiderate and unprofessional that was. I had to battle traffic from Stone Mountain to Atlanta and back again. Gas is too high, for him to blatantly lie that way. If you choose to buy from them I guess you should have them say 'yes, the dress you want is right here in my hands'. more

So far so good!! 9/15/2010

So far so good!! My consultant hope was very very helpful and didn't mind me being a scatterbrain and not really making up my mind. I didn't like that you could not take pictures although many people were kinda...I had a fitting with seamtress Ruth that seemed to go well..next fitting is this Sat...Let's hope that goes just as well..I have encountered nothing but good thus far at NN. more

I LOVE my wedding gown 5/11/2010

I just picked up by wedding gown and I am thrilled. I feel like a beautiful bride. I had to order a size 16 and a few of the stores I went to did not have any dresses for me to try on. Everyone was helpful and friendly. The owner put me at ease right away, he said I had to smile. Carty was my consultant and she was very patient. My mother and I are both smiling now. The selection of gowns was great and almost every wedding gown was in my budget of $1000.00. I known my father is go to cry walking me down the isle. Pros: Large selection great prices and friendly Cons: location more

Terrible Sales Staff, Bad Experience. GO ELSEWHERE! 2/2/2010

After attending the Brides Against Breast Cancer Gown Sale (which was right behind New Natalie's), my mother and future mother-in-law decided to go look at New Natalie's. I love color and wanted to try on some of the prom gowns, too. So I grabbed a few and since NOBODY helped us, we assumed that the dressing rooms were in the bridal area. I was in the process of getting undressed when the sales lady came in and snatched the dresses and said ""Bridal area only"". I was offended because I AM going to be a bride and I was half naked. She was very rude and short and once my mother explained that we were looking for a wedding dress, the lady all the sudden got nice (they work on commission). Even then, nobody helped us look around and another sales lady came by and was just as rude. I am never going back and never recommending this place. Also, the average gown cost is from $600 (cheaply made) up. Pros: Had a few pretty dresses. Cons: Sales people rude, bad part of town, hard to look thru dress more

surprisingly wonderful 12/15/2009

I was very hesitant to keep my appointment with New Natalie's after reading many of the posted reviews. However, I decided to go ahead and give them a try. At first I was greated by an unprofessional and poorly dressed man who explained the process to me, which gave me little to no hope for the experience. But after meeting with my consultant, I was very pleased. She was very attentive and paid attention to all of the feed back I had given her on the dresses I tried on. She worked very hard to find something for me. Overall, I was please with New Natalies and suggest you give them a chance as well. If nothing else, the prices are GREAT Pros: customer service Cons: lack of variety more

Great store. 5/7/2008

I have to disagree with the negative reviews of New Natalie's, as I had a wonderful experience. I had an appointment first thing on a weekday morning. When I arrived, the owner told me that they were a more hands-off establishment (which I personally appreciate). He gave me a few tips based on my body type and then explained that I should choose 5 or 6 gowns to try on. Once I had chosen my gowns, Maria helped me to put them on and model them for my mother and close friend. She was so kind and helpful. After I had tried on the first few and we started to get an idea of what looked good and what I should look for, she began pulling a few gowns for me that she thought would fit my style. I'm still not sure if I've found ""the one,"" but I can say that I really appreciated the help that I got at this store. They were not at all pushy and did not try to get me to commit to buying anything. There was no pressure to choose a more expensive dress...in fact, they were very clear that I should try to only pull dresses that were within my range so that I wouldn't fall in love with a dress I could not afford. This advice was helpful and well-appreciated. I asked Maria how long she had been assisting brides....her eleven years in the business is obvious. If you go to this store, I recommend going on a weekday and ask for Maria! more

Awful Experience Here. Say No to Natalie! 4/21/2008

I went to New Natalie's Bridal to get my bridesmaids dresses for my wedding. My girls and I all had a bad experience with one of their representatives. Based off of measurements they took, they talked all my girls into going up a size even though a similar dress in the same designer and size fit perfect. When the dresses came back all of them were too big. How convenient I thought, since they have an on-site alterations department. (they convinced a girl who is a size 4 to go up to a size 10 because of her measurements, luckily she refused because the 4 fits perfectly on her). Secondly, this same representative was so rude to everyone when it came to measurements and taking payments over the phone. My last complaint was with their payment policy. Everyone doesn't feel comfortably storing their credit card info on paper for files. And I was misinformed in the beginning about when we could pick up our dresses (which very well could have been my misunderstanding). They held all the dresses until everyone made their payment, which doesn't quite workout if everyone doesn't live in the same city. more

Could be better, Could be worse 3/4/2008

I had narrowed it down to 3 dresses from other salons when a friend made me an appointment at New Natalie's. Our appointment was on a Friday afternoon, and it wasn't crowded, so I picked several dresses and tried them on immediately. I found the one, and knew i wanted, but since my mom wasn't there i wanted to wait. I asked them if i could come again the next morning first thing with my mom, and they agreed, which was very helpful. Since my engagement was very short (4 months) I was rushed on doing everything. So the guy working that day told me I could buy the gown off the racck- at a discount. My mom & I came back the next day, i tried the gown on, and bought it. I told the lady about the discount- she called for the owner who told me, ""absolutely not, the dress is already discounted enough"" ($895). So we paid for the dress and left with it. Pros: Prices, Selection, Coture, Dressing Room Consultants Cons: Parking, Customer Service, The Apperance of the Building more

Worst Bridal Experience 9/12/2007

I went to New Natalies a few weeks ago after making an appointment. After selecting 7 dresses though, I had to wait over an hour just to start trying them on! I liked one and wanted to try on more, but I found out I would have to get back into the line and wait another hour. I made an appointment for this past Sunday for the first available time, and this time there was no wait to try on dresses. They had taken the one dress I liked to a bridal show, but I stayed to try on a few more dresses. The woman helping me was horribly unpleasant, she seemed to hate being there, and did not talk to me except to say 'next dress'. My second visit to New Natalies Bridal was certainly my last. While they do have great prices, there are other places in the Atlanta area with good prices and much better customer service. Pros: decent selection, good prices Cons: bad customer service, long waiting times more

Read negative reviews with CAUTION- New Natalies ROCKS 5/21/2007

I don't have alot of wedding experience and I've not visited alot of bridal salons since my engagement. In fact, New Natalies was the 3rd salon that I visited (May 2007). I live out of state but a friend recommended New Natalies; someone else told her about it. I read the reviews here and was cautious (actually concerned) that I would have a bad experience despite the report of lots of dresses from which to choose. I'm very particular about how customer service should go. MOST so-called service providers don't get it right. NEW NATALIE'S DOES CUSTOMER SERVICE. We made an appointment. I would guess that makes a HUGE difference. When we arrived, there were a number of brides-to-be waiting for opening (which was a few minutes late), but once we got in the door, we were asked who had an appointment. Two of 5 of us did. Initially, my friend and I wandered through dresses, but after a few minutes, our expert (Maria) came along. She was phenomenal. I appreciated her reserved honesty. I didn't love the dresses that I tried on and she wasn't at all pushy as I'd experienced in one other setting. She made suggestions (e.g., you don't need the slip with this one) and offered ideas and incorporated my preferences (short train, strapless, etc). After I'd tried on several dresses, she returned with one that she thought I might not like but that would look amazing on me. She was right. To top it all off, my dream dress was $399 + tax. Every once and I while, I peek at it in the closet. I love it more and more with each minute that passes. I'm an impatient person who never thought she'd find the right dress for the right price. I'm grateful for New Natalies' and will suggest it to all of my friends and family. (But more likely, the dress will speak for itself) Pros: Phenomenal prices, Very nice selection Cons: Can get crowded (we were there on Saturday a.m.) more
