Avoid using their services at all cost 4/23/2012

This company does not communicate and they do not care at all about the buyers when representing the banks on a foreclosure property. They are rude and do not make any effort to make buying a home a good experience. If you can avoid using them I highly recommend doing what ever it takes to stay as far away from these people as possible! more

Hire a lawyer if you hear their name 1/28/2012

One of the worst companies I`ve ever had to deal with! Nobody knows what they are doing. They are just keep promising and promising but nothing gets done! They were just emailing with the agent talking about us - the buyer - being the dumb, because we don`t know how foreclosures are working. That`s why I kept asking them about it, but never got a normal answer. Only thing I got ""we do our best"".. Really? more

Beware of Tax Credit on Foreclosure Purchases 11/3/2011

They have a neat little trick at New House Title. They will give you the tax credit up to the date you purchase using the Homestead tax rate. But once a house is in foreclosure the county no longer will use that rate so you (the purchaser) are left to pay the adjusted rate for the whole year. Here is my example: The title company gave me approximately $1000 for 261 days they owned it. I got my tax bill and I owe $1250 for 104 days of ownership. The county will tell you take it up with the title company:the title company will blame your buying agent and you as the little guy will be stuck. IF YOU BUY A FORECLOSED HOUSE MAKE SURE THEY CREDIT YOU AT THE TAX RATE WITHOUT HOMESTEAD EXEMPTION. more

BAD SERVICE 7/11/2011

This company has very bad service. Delays, delays, delays, delays for s simple cash closing. I had to send them the SAME stuff 4 times before they realized this. How can a business like this get title work from Fannie Mae? Something smells fishy. If I buy another property and am required to use this company, I will CANCEL the sale. more

Worst Title Company on Planet Earth 6/14/2011

As a realtor I have had to deal with some horrible title companies but this one definetely tops the list. They try to make you jump through hoops on the day of the closing, loose your documents, and talk to you like they are gods gift to real estate. Its a shame that Fannie Mae deals with them, they shoul shift their business else where. I know I will never work with them if I dont have to. more

Complete Incompetence - Stay Away! 5/26/2011

Being a broker in the buisness for over 20 years, I have dealt with many title companies. This is the absolute worst. I've had to suffer through many closings with them and they screwed up every single one. One I had to deal with a manager named William. Very rude and does not know crap about real estate closings. Then it got worse when my next transaction I had to deal with a manager named Jeff. Total incompetence! Most recently I had to deal with a manager named Valerie. Where the heck do they find these people? Our office has had to ask them to fix our address 8 times and they still can't get it right so we never get our commission checks until a month after closing. They don't return phone calls or emails, can't spell names correctly, hold onto the recordings for over 6 months before recording. How they are still in businss I have no idea. Stay away! Run! Pay extra money to close somewhere else! Unless you like bad service and complete incompetence! more

WORST TITLE COMPANY EVER 4/4/2011

I wouldnt even rate this company. They are run by people who lose paper work, have you repeat the same papr work over and over again because they cant find them . They lack the professional courtesy to call you back or return an email. They need to know every deposit you make into your checking or saving account and had to prove where it came from. Where your down payment is coming from and prove it too. Some of this is done by an over zelous, lack of education and anal retentive underwriters. Over the past 35 year I have bought and sold 5 houses and never experience such unprofessional people that are employed by this company. If I was their supervisor, I would have fired a few of them. more

I'm still wating on this company to get my closing done this company is the worst and the rudest company in tampa florida if you ever buy a house don't ever go to this company specialy if you are working with Mrs Diane DeCrane she is the rudest one and the worst one off all of the staff in that office. I guess the banks who use this company for their close they use them because they are really cheap and because they are chep that why they are so unprofessional... Very disappointed. more

Horrible experience 2/28/2011

As 1st time home buyers we are purchasing a foreclosed home and made the mistake of going with the bank's Tittle Company which happens to be this terrible company. If I would do it all again, I would have paid the extra money to chose my own title company and would probably already have moved into my new home and closed a LONG TIME AGO! We just received a third extension request from this title company and will probably be out on the street before we can move into our new home. We were supposed to have initially closed 28 days ago and every time the closing day rolls around they blame somebody else for not being able to close on time. However, we have checked with the other people that they blame to find out they were initially responsible for not sending the required documentation on time. I do not trust their employees who do not care to respond to your emails, do not care if you have to live on the street due to their delays and who are evasive in their responses to your emails. more

Terrible Title Company 2/25/2011

I'm not sure if they are lazy or uneducated in their business or just plain don't care. I'm with the person about the waiting, and the other person with the no communication or response from them. Everyone has email, they just don't respond with any information if they respond at all. My real estate agent has worked with them before. When she heard the name of the title company she hoped it was the one in Ocala. She said the Tampa branch was a nightmare. Sure enough, we are dealing with the Tampa branch. Still waiting. No problems on our end, just waiting for New House Title Company in Tampa. I was supposed to close today. I have no idea when or if I will ever close. more

Worst Title Company Ever! 2/4/2011

Question: How long does it take to close a cash transaction with no contingencies? Answer: I don't know. So far it's been about 45 days. We are almost one week past the closing date and still no indication as to when we will close this deal. I hope it happens in my lifetime. I have been involved in many, many real estate transactions over my career and this is my worst experience with a title company. With the exception of one individual that takes pride in his job, I have had nothing but poor experiences so far. Poor communication, bad attitude, no urgency with respect to timelines, and excuses, excuses, excuses! If I hear about one more snow storm in Texas that caused FHLMC to close for the day, I'm going to pull my hair out!!! more

Worst Title Company EVER 12/31/2010

I would have to say that this is the worst title company I have ever had to work with in all my years in Real Estate. They never communicate with anyone, don't return calls or emails and do things at there own time (always after the closing date). They sent closing papers at 4:45pm and then told us it was not there problem that the closing papers did not get in the overnight mail to them the same day. Closing was suppose to happen at 3:30 not 5pm. How are papers to be printed, signed and dropped in an over night box within 45 min? Not possible. My buyers had to wait all weekend to gain access to their home because this title company is so bad. They blame everyone but themselves.s Tried telling me it was the mobile closers (that they picked ) fault the papers did not get back to them in time. Just one more reason banks should allow local title companies to close REO properties. more

um ... is this were they help us change our houses . well if it is we need help on building our house becasue we have the building but we dont have the: cherock , insalation , furniture , eletricity , a/c , a/c tubes , flooring , kitchen items . and i really want my dad to finish the house and then we can live in our new house . the longer it take more water drips threw the celing nd ma parents are under alot of stress please help us. if you have any questions please call (813)-927-5183 and we will give you the directions and u guys can tell us more about this ... We had a wonderful experience with this company 11/30/2010

After reading all of the reviews I have to say we were very skeptical about using this company. I also would like everyone to know though that we are not unexperienced buyers. We have bought and sold properties over the years and are very familiar with REO closings. They are not the ""typical"" closing that everyone is referring to. Our processor, Stephanie Stephens, was not only on top of everything she answered the phone or called us back every time. When the file was moved to the closer to prepare the HUD I couldn't believe how fast the HUD was prepared and out to us. Not only was the HUD perfect there were no mistakes as everyone keeps talking about on here as well. Stephanie Stephens and Valerie Toney are exceptional employees and I wanted to let everyone know that there are at least two valuable employees there. Why don't you ask for them the next time you have a closing? I'll bet you have a different opinion when it is all said and done. more
