Question: How long does it take to close a cash transaction with no contingencies?
Answer: I don't know. So far it's been about 45 days. We are almost one week past the closing date and still no indication as to when we will close this deal. I hope it happens in my lifetime.
I have been involved in many, many real estate transactions over my career and this is my worst experience with a title company. With the exception of one individual that takes pride in his job, I have had nothing but poor experiences so far. Poor communication, bad attitude, no urgency with respect to timelines, and excuses, excuses, excuses! If I hear about one more snow storm in Texas that caused FHLMC to close for the day, I'm going to pull my hair out!!!
