NY City Blinds

Not satisfied at all. When initial order was put in they failed to account for holidays so job that should have taken 5 weeks took 10 weeks. Then blind arrived with a stain and dirty. Had to be replaced and cleaned and returned again multiple delays. Finally installed and not in great condition 5 months from date of order and medicore work at best. Never again. more

I called for a in home consultation & spoke to a gentleman who was knowledgeable & very nice. I would say.I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted being that I collect art and I have furniture that I had inherited & wanted to make sure I had the right window treatments that would protect my furniture and art from fading or damage.The man that went to my house had no rush and educated me on all sorts of window treatments that I would have never known otherwise if he hadnt been so patient and knowledgeable.I finalized my order with him and I couldn't be anymore greatful.I love my Honeycombs & Shutters that I decided on. This has been a great investment & I feel now that my living room & guest room are complete. I'm ready for my master bedroom & I highly recommend Nycity Blinds for anyone looking to buy any kind of window treatment. more

Our blinds were old and dirty so I called about cleaning. NY Blinds were so great about helping that I didn''t shop around when getting new blinds for my bedroom. The best part was that my friend used another company and hers (similar blinds) were more expensive. Mine look great! The man that took my measurements and brought samples answered all my questions (and I had a lot of them) more

I just moved into a new apartment with lots of windows. Called New York City Blinds because a friend gave me their number. My blinds are not only beautiful, but they darken a very bright room. They do great work and are very fast. I will be using them again! more

My partner and me purchesed NY City Blinds from Ronnie more then a year ago and we are not affiliated with him in any way. If you'll check the latest reviews on google, yelp etc, you'll find they are all 4-5 stars with great recommendation to our services and personal. Oh my! So relieved to see everyone's terrible review of this place. The guy is actually scary. I was searching for a new blind company it has taken me this long to not be frightened of a similar experience when I came across these reviews. The receptionist IS nice. Very. Ronnie is so psycho scary like a kind of Cable guy thing. First time he came over he stepped on furniture and window ledges with no worry spent most of the time talking up how he was giving me a deal. On the day of the install his very nice assistant got yelled at consistently by him while he (ronnie) proceeded to break part of the wall, not screw in 2 different shades properly. 2 fell down not soon after. Called to have them come and fix them asked specifically please don't send that crazy hostile guy he made me uncomfortable (very--like aggressive creepy). He came over anyway in like a fury rage, breezed past my doorman and showed up at the front door furious and unannounced. barged in. said shades worked fine and proceeded to smash the plaster on another part of the wall and literally scream at me for 10 minutes. Strange insulting kind of scary sexist stuff. It was awful. My doorman banned him from the building. I've sat here with two broken drapes for 2 years afraid of having any other "help". After my Ronnie experience you can't blame me. Anyone know a great kind not scary and professional blinds shop? Stay away!!!! more

For those of you considering using NY City Blinds, read this review and every other negative review written about this company and its owner, and seriously consider it. Don't become a victim, find some other more competent and reputable company to work with. It is very easy to get your friends to write positive things about you and your company on citysearch to outweigh the negative. I strongly urge you to pay attention to the negative feedback before you make your decision. I wish I had found these reviews before signing on with this company and it's "shady" owner, (pun intended for levity, but this is no laughing matter unfortunately). To sum it up... we got jerked around in every possible way by NYC Blinds. I can't believe in this economy this guy still has a business and gets away with half the stuff he does. Terrible, terrible service, unprofessional attitude, abusive owner, no regard for the client or respect for your time, your house, your property, your blinds. Our experience was so horrible (and our job was extremely standard), I'm planning on filing a claim, and I would hope everyone else who has had a similar experience do the same. I'm so shocked to see the others negative reviews. I had nothing but a wonderful experience with new york city blinds. my installation turned out perfect! exactly what i ordered and came in a timely fashion - about 2 and a half to 3 weeks...everything had to be customer, as my windows are very large. R*** came to my building and was nothing but a gentleman, brought all necessary tools - of course including his own ladder (i'm sorry but i don't know too many tenants in NYC who can store ladders), took his shoes off not to soil the rugs, installed everything and it's looks perfect. all is can say, is they were recommended to me and i would recommend them to anyone i know. it's exactly what i was looking for. thank you! All I can say is if I could post pictures of what they did to my windows and walls, I'd do it in a heartbeat. I was also horrified when the installer continued to verbally abuse us over the phone and also the way he talks to his receptionist. He definitely needs anger management and we actually did not invite him back to fix our walls because we were afraid he was capable of physical violence as well. DO NOT use their services. They damaged my walls while installing the shades and told me that it was a "service" for them to fix it. I thought I was saving money using him but ended up spending more since now I have to fix the walls. When they stood me up twice and when I complained they stated that "because I filed a complaint" they would not fix the walls and threatened to reneg on their 1 years service warranty (which I have in writing). To be honest, I thought it was hilarious he was saying this and more importantly, of course, ridiculous. More importantly, the installer, R**I, actually used a slew of curse words over the phone towards me. I saw all the warning signs, such as not bringing his own ladder, forgetting his tools, very mean on the phone and in person, lying that he did a unit in our building but there is no record of it in our building manager's office, etc. Spend the extra $400-$500 because the other window treatment companies, if negotiated, will offer comparable prices. SAVE YOURSELF THE TRAUMA AND AGGRAVATION!!!!! Cons: Verbally Abusive Installer, Renegs on their service warranty, damages your walls while installing more

Wow! I used NY City Blinds for my residents and now I had them do my Corporate office. First off, BEST solar shade prices in the city and great work. I had my 6500sft office finished in 2 1/2 weeks. I can't believe it! Got an estimate, ordered the solar shades and they were installed so fast. Not only do the shades look great; they really keep out the strong sun, but I still have my beautiful views of the Empire State building. I'm really happy. Thank you! New York City Blinds was highly recommended to me by a gentleman in my building. I ALWAYS come on to Citysearch to read reviews regarding companies I intend to use. I was hesitant to use New York City Blinds after reading the last review posted. However, I decided to use them because they were so highly recommended. Well, after NY CIty Blinds did such a wonderful job in my apartment; I felt it only fair to write my own personal review. They did an outstanding job. Not only did they have a wonderful selection to choose from and a FAIR price; the work was impeccable. The office manager called to confirm my appointment; installer was on time and most courteous. Even one star is too much for them. I liked the receptionist - Dianne - and she was helpful. However, this guy Rxxx drove me crazy. He said if I could place an order on Saturday, he could install it two weeks later on Saturday. I trusted that and paid full price. (I was an idiot..) I was waiting to set an appointment, but no one contacted me even before the initial installation date. When I called the store on the expected installation day, the receptionist told me that products would be delivered next week and there's no Saturday job scheduled. I called Rxxx, and he said he doesn't work on Saturday b/c he's Jewish! Besides, he said he never promised to deliver the product on the expected day. I ended up fighting over the phone. There's no concept of customer service exists here and never do the business with them. Very dishonest, very unreliable. Cons: very dishonest. No saturday work more
