impressed with the service and selection. found exactly what i was looking for at a competitive price. customer service is excellent...girls in the showroom were attentive and informative, representative who gave estimate was cordial, and the installer was impeccible. i would recommend nyc blinds to all my friends. i highly recommended nyc blind they are on time honest and after getting prices from ganovic,Manhattan shade,they are much cheaper they came on Sunday and did everything on time and i am very happy more

ny city blinds are horrible...avoid 7/28/2008

I got estimate from them and gave them cash on sight. When they finally installed them it was not what I had ordered. They hung the most toxic smelling plastic I have ever encountered. It gaves me extreme headaches and was horrible. It would take years for that smell to go away. more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS....TOTAL RIPOFF!! 6/23/2008

We had a terrible experience with NYC Blinds. I would not recommend to anyone. They showed up 3 hours late for our appointment....without a ladder and tools for installing the blinds!! I am amazed that they are able to run a business like that. So we had to wait several hours for installation..... very unthical and sleazy!! I had to take the majority of the day off of work. Do yourself a favor and do not use NYC Blinds!!! Cons: terrible service....showed up 3 hours late without tools to install blinds. more

Loyal customer of NY City Blinds 6/20/2008

My first apt in 845 UN Plaza; i used NY City Blinds - loved the work - bought 2 more apts and broke through. They came back and put motorized shades throughout. Definitely trust their work; I had them come and do my home in Watermill (Hamptons). Impressive 6/20/2008

Renovated new apartment at 835 Fifth Avenue - called NY City Blinds for curtains and cornise...came by they did a wonderful job with living room and master bedroom. Forgot to measure 1/2 bath window (immediately made appointment for someone to come back and measure. Provided us with temporary shade free of charge and one week later, they came to install blind. For the inconveniece, this was complimentary, as well. A real stand up company. Pros: Stand up company more

Showroom! Samples! Service! 6/20/2008

Beautiful showroom at 450 East 78th Street. Took a look at the samples - immediately receptionist put us on the scheudle the following day. Salesperson came on time and showed various samples - great selection -- ordered 3 blinds and 5 Sillouettes -- came week and half later, as promised - all installed to perfection (very hard working - gave extra $50 for wonderful service) Looks awesome! Reliable Service 6/20/2008

Impressed. I have a tough schedule with work. COnventiently came to apt on Sunday. ON time and professional. Brought tons of samples. 2 weeks later, blinds were installed. Pros: Great Service and Variety of samples Cons: N/A more

Love my shades! 6/20/2008

Had blinds for years I love. Really thought that I need to get new ones. NY CIty Blinds came to give me an estimate for new ones (I thought they were in bad shape :( ), BUT he said I didn't have to buy new; instead he was able to immediately fix my favorite blinds and clean them. Saved me $ and saved me from having to give up favorite shades. THX! Pros: Honest and such a gentleman Cons: N/A more

Not reliable, dishonest. 6/17/2008

When I called for appointment, I told receptionist, salesman had to remove shoes a/c cats. When he came in to measure the blinds salesman was cooperative. When he came to install blinds, he gave me a story about foot accdient prevented him removing shoes. One of the blinds was too narrow - an inch too much space on each side.. Right after he installed it, he complained about the dust he had to deal with from the window. I didn't notice misfit while he kept complaining about dust. I called store next day and salesman told me he would take care of it. Over 2 weeks i called store again - he never got back to me. more

Not Reliable 5/2/2008

Ordered blinds and left cash deposit. Waiting a month and never received return phone calls. Always had some "excuse" and when I was told delivery was imminent, still waiting. Unreliable and less than truthful. more

you should know, NY City Blinds, I found had such a wonderful selection to choose from. I was amazed at how knowledgable they were about their product, but even more important; the quality and the installation was flawless. thanks so much for your service!
