Horrible experience!!! Never received a bill from them until I got a call from a collections agency threatening to sue me! The collection agency said all the mail they had sent me had been returned. When I asked them to verify the mailing address they had on file, they had a wrong address. I have no idea how they got the wrong address. So I never got any bills or any calls until a year later after I had my surgery. I decided to call my insurance and said I was resposible for $100 so I decided to send a check to the collection agency. A month later while checking my credit report now it shows that my account was sent to collection. I have called Milton Hall to talk to someone in billing and have left multiple messages and no one would ever called back. Please let me know what did you guys do and was it reported to your credit? Thank you. I just disputed this through Transunion. \r more

FRAUDULENT!! I'm having this company investigated by private and regulatory agencies for fraudulent billing practices.\r \r They performed unnecessary procedures to tell them the same thing a visual inspection with an otoscope already told them (fluid in my ear). Why you ask?\r \r The visual otoscope is covered by insurance co-pay. The Tympanometry they performed applies toward your deductible. They also performed a nasal endoscope for $343. What was the cure for my horrific ailment you ask? Pinch my nose and blow. That's right $588 in charges to tell me to pinch my nose and blow (like equalizing your ears when snorkeling).\r \r My own doctor has confirmed at least one of the tests was not necessary after the visual inspection.\r \r I'm reporting this company to my insurance company (they take fraudulent billing seriously too), the AMA, the Secretary of State, Better Business Bureau, state Insurance Commissioner and everyone else I can think of.\r \r If you choose this company, remember.... I told you so!! more

HORRIBLE! Save yourself the headache and mistreatment and find another practice- ANY other practice. Even if doctors at GA ENT / Milton Hall are fine enough, the billing office, especially Penny, is beyond awful- she is controlling, vindictive, and just extraordinarily mean-spirited. She purposely treats patients like peons and seems to enjoy being rude, unprofessional , nasty, insulting, and, worse: untrustworthy and unscrupulous. They lie about coverage, induce you to accept services, then gouge you personally. If you question Penny, she will call you a liar and see to it no one else will help you. And I am a patient who has paid them thousands and thousands of dollars and recommended many others to my dr! But they want to tack on extra, after saying they won't...for what? A lousy $100?! Wow... Talk about the forest and the trees. Id rather pay the $100 (on top of the thousands paid) and be free, as much as I hate being cheated and misled. Penny is scary, and i fear what she will do. See the reviews- this happens far too often at this place. What a shame. medical offices like this hardly benefit your overall health! more

Serious Billing Issues! Like other reviews above, I went in with a minor staph infection inside my nostril. I had a scope stuck up my nose, everything else was fine, got my little cream prescription, paid my copay, and went about my day. Later on I get a bill for $350 because United Health Care considers the scope a ""surgical procedure"", and the doctor's office would not change the billing code. What's more, the doctor refused to even write a letter saying that this was a typical treatment/exam. Basically I got screwed over by both this awful doctor & insurance. NEVER GO HERE! more

Never again! 5/21/2012

Some years ago had sinus surgery w/this physician (in Milton Hall) and was completely satisfied. Went back to them (although I now live very far away) 1/20/12 wherein I sat in their office 2 hours and had a 20 minute ""look-see"" by their Physician's Assistant....who charged $385 for looking up my nose with a laser pointer. I called my insurance co when I received the first bill; wanted them to know it was not a ""surgery""...and they said wait until final bill. Now, $250+ later, called ""Cathy"" in their billing who informed me any ""invasive surgery is considered to be surgical"" and ""The AMA allows them to bill as such."" Called the AMA in CHICAGO, found out the AMA has no jurisdiction over billing issues. Called the JCA (Joint Commission on Accreditation) and have learned that this particular group is not accredited in the State of GA (YIKES, BECAUSE I DID NOT KNOW A SURGICAL SUITE MUST BE ACCREDITED-or at least I would think so). I want all to know that this is not a valid surgical suite and they are billing fraudulently for services NOT PERFORMED! I have contacted the State Department of Health (of which I'm sure I'll get nothing done). Of course, in the State of Georgia, this may be the way things work here in the SOUTH, but I will not be party to this FOREVERMORE! more

Dr. Beaty 6/21/2011

We too had the ""surgery"" from this Dr. They did ""surgery"" that consisted of clipping something in the nose and charged unbelievably for it. That ""surgery"" didn't help one bit, so Dr. Beaty recommended very invasive (and dangerous as it was near the brain) sinus surgery. We got a second opinion and were told it was unncessary and given a prescription which solved the sinus problem. We cancelled the unnecessary surgery several days prior to the scheduled date and were charged $250 cancellation fee. more

Dr Mark Beaty 9/20/2010

I am 51 years old and while happy with my features in general I wanted my neck/chin area to appear more youthful. After extensive research and consultations with numerous Plastic Surgeons I decided on Dr Mark Beaty for a number of reasons. I work within the beauty industry and had heard many positive things about his experience and reputation. He took his time with me, answering all my questions without rushing me and making me feel no question was a silly one. He was honest with expectations and made recommendations, telling me I did not need a ""full face lift"" at this time and would be able to achieve the results I was looking for with a ""limited incision facelift"" saving me both money and downtime. My husband had been hesitant for me to do this but on seeing the results was thrilled as am I!! I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Dr Beaty and the entire staff at Milton Hall Plastic Surgery. Everyone there has been friendly, accommodating and knowledgable. I found the prices extremely competitive and will definately return when the time comes.! more

Be Wary of These Folks 9/15/2010

Be Wary of these folks, \r I picked them out of the phone book, specialists, good location. They should be able to give me a prescription for my minor sinus infection as my regular Dr. was on vacation, I told them this. But what they didn't tell me was to talk to me for five minutes it was going to cost $195.00 and to take two minutes to look up my nose was going to be an additional $343.00. In less than 10 minutes I have bill for $543.00. No choice in the matter, no warning of the cost of having this ""surgery ."" That was what they called it when they shined a light up your nose. No explanation of the need or cost. They did it on their own, but now you pay. I have had no response from my calls. Be wary. more

Pleased with the results of my blepharoplasties 4/8/2010

Looking at the other reviews here, I felt like I had to balance the discussion. My parents were wonderful, but their genes gave me a predisposition for hooded eyes and under-eye bags. Eight years ago, when I was 51, Dr Beaty performed upper and lower blepharoplasties on me. My results were what I had hoped for. I followed all of the post-op instructions and my incisions healed well. I even found that my under-eye circles were MUCH improved, although not everyone gets this benefit. Unfortunately, the loss of my under-eye bags seemed to make my crow's feet more prominent, but that only shows with smiling. Today, my upper lids are starting to have extra skin again, but time marches on, and no one told me that the results on my upper lids would last forever. My lower bleph is still a laudable result, and I don't look tired all the time, like I used to. I have even considered going back to Dr. Beaty for an ""update,"" even though I now live in WY. Bottom line: my surgery was worth the expense, the risk, the down-time, and the bruising. Pros: Excellent results - my eyes looked 15 years younger Cons: Expense, bruising (temporary), some accentuation of crow's f more

Dr Gallups 1/3/2010

I was referred to Dr Gallups after having already had 2 sinus surgeries. He performed the 3rd and recommended allergy testing. I began allergy shots and after a period of time began to notice some improvement. "" I worshiped this Man"", for the first time in years i actually began to feel good and had fewer sinus infections. One conversation with his ""New"" assistant turned everything upside down. During my next office visit with Dr Gallups the conversation was discussed. Instead of me telling my side I can only assume he believed everything the assistant had to say. I was appalled at what Dr Gallups said to me. Because of his lack of professionalism and not even asking me my side of the conversation I would not recommend him. Pros: Parking Cons: Don't let his smile fool you more

WAAAAAY overcharged 12/16/2009

Went to find a way to stop snoring. Had a pillar procedure done for $2000 that did absolutely nothing. THEN had a sleep study and obtained a CPAP from these thieves. They charged ""rental"" for a year that added up to twice what I could have bought the thing for. Also, they made a significant error on my bill and wanted ME to pay interest on THEIR mistake. Billing people are rude and inflexible. I can only guess that reflects the management of this unethical outfit. Avoid unless you like overpaying. Pros: Doctors will spend time with you Cons: The price is outrageous more

Expensive 9/20/2008

Very expensive. I wish I had read the reviews before I had my first visit, I would have gone elsewhere. more

A Money Machine 4/25/2008

I visited this practice in Alpharetta, Ga., to find out if a stubborn ear infection was gone. Upon arrival, I informed the front office that I was paying out of pocket due to a high deductible. The receptionist just looked at me. Instead of merely checking my ears, the practice required automatic audiology testing (cost: $228) and then, after finding that my ears were fine, the doctor performed an unrequested ""endoscopic"" exam through my nose that took 60 seconds or less (cost: $343). These charges were on top of a ""new patient"" physician charge of $195. The total billing to the insurance company: $766. My hearing was normal and I had no ear infection. I had no idea how much these unnecessary procedures had cost me until I received an explanation of benefits from my insurance company. Because the practice is in-network, I ""only"" have to pay $391.80. When I questioned the excessive charges, the practice's billing staff member was very talented at deflecting the physician's ethical responsibility to inform his patients of costs. I imagine this practice pays her very well. However, it took two phone calls to get them to cancel my follow-up visit. Cons: a money machine more

Billing issues!!!!! 3/26/2008

Surgery went extremely well and very pleased with the results. Billing department is rude, unorganized and incompetent. I received a call from a collection agency 12 months after the procedure for an unpaid bill. I called the billing department and left Pennie a message. 5 days later she returned my call and explained that I owed $1400 for my last office visit. When I told her I had not received a bill, she then verified that they had the wrong billing address. She claimed they had no way of knowing the address was wrong so this was my fault and I would have to take it up with the collection agency( follow up phone call would have worked). I contacted my insurance agency and corrected the problem immediately. I now have to work to make sure this does not appear on my credit report because of the problems within their organization. Wish I had read the previous review before doing business with Milton Hall Surgical Associates. Pros: Doctor was great. Cons: Billing Deparment is a joke. more

Shady Billing Practices and Services 12/5/2007

As explained to me by Penny in the billing department, Milton Hall Surgical Associates asks you to sign a disclaimer stating that as long as you are covered on some level by insurance, Milton Hall is under no obligation to inform you of changes to the scope of your visit or the associated costs, however you are liable for the services performed.\r \r In my specific case, I booked an office visit and payed the associated copay. Later, I was billed for ""surgery"" when the only services performed related to a checkup. I was informed that the ""procedure"" to do so constituted surgery, despite being clear that I was only there for an office visit. At no time was I informed that the nature of the visit had changed to include line items for which I would be held responsible beyond my copay. Penny then went on to explain to me that this was not an obligation of Milton Hall to inform me of additional line items beyond what was agreed.\r \r Summary:\r 1) Scope of services will change without explanation or consent.\r 2) Billing department is forceful and did not return any calls in regard to incident.\r 3) A visit here is not only ill advised, but financially risky. Cons: Billing practices and line items not in line with expectations. more

Dr. Jeffrey Gallups changed my life. My nose looks great 2/24/2007

I had my nose job back in 1998 and if it weren't for Dr. Gallups I would not be the person I am today. He made me look great and the job he did made me have much more confidence in myself.\r \r I don't mind people looking at my side view. I know it was a long time ago since I had my plastic surgery on my nose but I will never forget the kindness he showed to me and the great facility they had. Very little pain. My husband also had nasal surgery performed by Dr. Gallups a few years ago because he had a very large cyst in his nose. Dr. Gallups took great care of him and gave him the pain medication he needed. \r \r I would highly recommend Dr. Gallups to anyone. Pros: Very professional and a great doctor. He knows how to make your nose look natural and good Cons: They are a little on the high side $$ for botox but you get what you pay for. He is great more
