I like to thank you for quality service. We are happy that we chose Mike Counsil Plumbing. On Jan 11, Jerry Biondo came out to our home and found that our water heater leaked into the house and flooding bathroom, hallway and part of bedroom. The leakage included damage to the water heater closet and the installation under the home/closet. Jerry was very professional. He mentioned he really couldn't install new water heater because the closet was damaged. So he recommended Dry Force who came out and checked the areas that were damaged by the old water heater. It took Dry Force 3 days to dry out the areas in our home. We called Jerry to let him know that Dry Force completed their job, the water heater closet was repaired and we were ready for him to install our new water heater. Jerry came and installed the water heater, we had HOT water! He had to come back the next day to install/ finish to run the TNP line outside and drain pan line. We were very satisfied with his service. When ever there was something done we were informed by him and by email even the estimated time of completion. Overall very good. I was however inconvenienced by having to spend additional time I had not planned for. I made an appt. a week prior to the date I requested but was informed the day before the tech would not be available and could I reschedule. What's the point of making an appt. then? more

I went onine and called Mike Concil Plumbing. They came within 2 to 3 days. The gentleman who presented himself at my door, was Keith. Even with new replacement seats and springs, our leak wouldn't stop, although the water supply was completely shut off. It was recommended to purchase a new faucet, which will be accomplished soon, as our work schedule allows. more

MCPlumbing responded very quickly, was able to detect problem, and resolved issue immed. Bobby and his assistant was very professional and anytime entering office, put on "booties". MC has the equipment and knowledge to make the proper repairs. more

Yelp ratings are quite challenging. The company is a factor but so is the customer. Sometimes the company is difficult. Sometimes the customer is difficult. Yelp reviews won't allow companies to review customers, so there is an inherent bias on the customer side. This said, I have found Yelp reviews quite helpful, as long as I avoid being mislead by someone with an ax to grind. I love Mike Counsil and have used them for twelve years. They are a tremendous company with some weaknesses, like any company. This said, I would not entrust my plumbing work to anyone else. Here are some things you should know.. ---they can be more expensive initially because of an 89 dollar service charge. You pay this just for them to come to your home. ---they always get to the bottom of the problem. Because they are paid the service charge, they are in no hurry to leave. I have had guys spend a significant time searching inside, outside, and under the house until they knew exactly what was going on. There is something very encouraging knowing I am not paying any more than the service charge during this time. ---I have received major and minor work form them. Every guys is super friendly. Mike Counsil has a family feel because of this. The employees work around your schedule, are sensitive to kids, and treat your home with the attitude of wanting to leave it in great condition. ---When they aren't sure about something, they don't hesitate to call the owners, who have an encyclopedic knowledge...including having designed their own plumbing components based on the Bay Area's unique needs ---I don't plan on reading any of the negative reviews, but feel free to do so. If they complain about price, understand this...one time someone in my home called another company...they had to visit multiple times, because the work they did broke down. I have never had Mike Counsil return...never (knock on wood Counsil Family). ---I don't plan on reading any of the negative reviews, but if someone complains about them not being receptive....there has never been an occasion when Mike Counsil hasn't been willing to come out, follow up, visit again, talk on the phone. I heard from Aaron one of the employees they were getting low ratings on Yelp, so I took to the airwaves to write this. I don't like paying anyone money for anything, but if I have to do it, then Mike Counsil is where my dollars are going. Thanks if you read this far... more

Water heater thermocouple replaced for just under $500. After some pleading I got a same-day appointment; repairs were completed around 6:30 p.m., and thank you for that! Both techs were pleasant and professional, and I was informed of the repair cost before work began. more

I was off for two weeks enjoying the holiday time off with my toddler & we noticed water coming down from the upstairs bathroom into the downstairs bathroom. We touched the ceiling & it was soft where the water was coming from. I did a quick goggle search & Mike Counsil Plumbing had the best reviews so I gave them a call. From the second I talked to the receptionist, I was pleased. I was instantly comfortable. She dispatched the very next morning a gentleman name Aaron Lefeber, from the time he stepped foot in my house he was amazing, absolutely through and made me feel right at home, Discussed everything he was thinking about doing, got confirmation from his team that it was the right approach, and then walked me thru it and made me comfortable yet again. I would recommend this company a million times over to anyone inquiring for a plumber, best service ive had in a long time. Its all in the communication & professionalism and aaron was a A TOP NOTCH!!! more

We have had Mike Counsil Plumbing in the past and have always been pleased with the work. This time Shane came right before Christmas and really helped us out. He also helped us install the dryer so that the whole job was complete. Kudos to Shane! I know that I can count on Mike Counsil to get the job done in a professional manner. more

i had a water heater replaced upstairs. the tech didnt feel like he could do it alone so i was charged $500 for a second person to come and help him carry the water heater upstairs. not only that but it took two days. the tech didnt realize that the plumbing supply store was closed on the day that i had the appointment so he and his second guy had to come back the next day. I was also told that i needed new plumbing through out the house and i was quoted 27,000 dollars which ifeel is ridiculous. I dont know that i will use this company again and i was very unhappy that i had to pay $500 for a second person to come and carry a water heater upstairs and that the tech lost track of time and couldnt get the water heater the same day as my appointment. more

1 hour job, same day service, quality work, $15 worth of parts, easy access outside exposed plumbing, no digging or wall opening, job quoted over $700, paid close to $600 I expected the job to run around $300. Union Plumber costs approximately $100 an hour including fringes. Throw in another $100 for office,, equipment, etc. overhead plus an additional 50% profit ($100) and you arrive at a total of $300. Is the rest travel time? more

I called Mike Council Plumbing for a leak at my water meter, on a Sunday. The technician worked in the rain to assess the problem and then came out on Monday to make the necessary repairs. I was totally satisfied with the work completed and the cleanup of the work site. I will use Mike Council Plumbing in the future as the need arises. more
