Chris Newman Mercedes Benz of Cary Salesman of the Year! 10/30/2011

For the past year, I have researched for a new Mercedes Benz at the local MB dealership and on MBUSA website with to intent of educating myself with the latest models. Once evening I decided to venture outside of my commuting area by contacted Mercedes Benz of Cary. On my way home from work one evening, I cautiously and reluctantly dial the dealership at(888)483-9543 to look at what trade in value I could receive on my 2004 E320 Mercedes Benz. The receptionist passed my call over to Mr. Personality Chris Newman. He and I connected instantly. He wasn't demanding, pushing in such a way I wanted to end our conversation immediately. As a matter of fact, he was encouraging, and excited to know the car I had intended on trading in was such a great Mercedes class and year. He couldn't wait to see the car. Now, I know why, he simply wanted to drive that car (as he does with all Mercedes). Needless to say, I allowed Mr. Personality Chris Newman to drive the car and I was brave enough to sit in the passenger’s seat too. Obviously, I survived his impressive driving abilities to later experience his Indy 500 driving abilities with the newest C350 MB. Not sure if he had told me the truth or not (MB of Cary’s policy is for the salesmen had to drive the car off the lot), but he made every effort to demonstrate how steady the C350 Sports MB could handle the roads of Cary. What an experience! I was impressed with the power/torque in this compact car. Never in my wildness dreams could I maneuver this machine as Mr. Personality demonstrated. Very much impressed with the C350 before I even drove the car. The tricks he showed me, I don't think anyone with a right mind would try such a thing. Seriously, Mr. Chris Newman made my car buying experience worthwhile, seamlessly, with no hassles. I truly believe having a keen personality, with a focus on satisfying the customer, and having a “Can Do” attitude actually go a long way in a customers mind. How valuable is Mr. Personality Chris Newman to MB of Cary? He is a great attribute to the MB team. Would I buy again from your team? Absolutely! Without a doubt! My partner and I recently bought our second Smart car from Mercedes/Smart at Cary Auto Mall. David Burr was our sales representative. I have to say David made the buying experience very easy. It was like having your brother sell you a car. He is the most down to earth, witty,personable,yet professional car representative ever. I have to say after buying three Mercedes from Leith in Raleigh and being extremely disappointed with all three experiences. We have become Mercedes Benz of Cary customers. The whole procedure is entirely different at Cary. David Burr and the whole staff take car buying to a whole new level. I would absolutely recommend David Burr to anyone. I promise if you have ever had reservations about the whole car buying process or a bad experience kiss it good bye. Go by an S 550 sedan for $100,000 or an adorable Smart car for $15,000. David Burr in three short words AWESOME! AWESOME! AWESOME! 10/13/2011

While having one of my boss's vehicles serviced with Mercedes- Benz in Cary & contemplating trading in my AUDI S-5 for one of the same, I was browsing around at the new 2012 arrivals in stock & the CLS 550 struck a chord with me. One of my regular service guys whom is always a consummate professional introduced me to David Burr. While explaining to him that I was satisfied with my AUDI & had enjoyed driving it so much, but was thinking @ a possible four door but did not want to compromise the performance he offered to let me test drive the CLS with no strings attached nor pressure as to why Mercedes was a better choice vehicle. He just listened & then explained all the option that the particular car had to offer and how they functioned. After the test drive, I thanked him & went on my way. Well needless to say " This test drive became all too mind consuming" & much better suited for my work & life style. With all that said! I decided to visit David Burr again & Only then did he offer his "Superb Salesmanship" to me without any pressure.We discussed what was possible under my budget, what specs I would need or want, pricing opt.of course, test drove CLS again. Upon doing so, filled out basic info.to get the ball rolling so to speak and upon approval rating, three short days later I received a nice phone call from David Burr telling me the GREAT NEWS! that my brand new 2012 Mercedes-Benz CLS had arrived!! Well of course I was overjoyed!!! He really made the decision to switch over from AUDI to MERCEDES a no brained for me & as easy as 1-2-3. No offense to AUDI, I do still love the S-5 and look forward to the possible arrival of the RS-5. Would'nt it be nice to have the best of both worlds, but for now I'm very happy & David Burr in my opinion is your GO-TO-GUY! more

He didn't try to talk me into something else like most car salesmen who treat women as if they aren't smart enough to know what they want; instead, we went to the parking lot where he showed me their inventory and asked a few good questions about what features I was particularly interested in. Took a test drive, then back to showroom where we talked numbers. I am convinced he went out of his way to be competitive with a price. more

Long story short: if you are in the market for a car, you should go find David Burr at Mercedes of Cary. He never pressured me and made the process not only painless, but pretty pleasant! Paperwork was easy and he spent over 90 minutes with me showing me all the features on my new car and explaining how they would be there for all my future service needs. I can't think of a single part of the experience with David and Mercedes of Cary that was less than absolutely fabulous. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a quality product and a quality experience to go with it. more

Great Experience 9/18/2011

My wife and I had plans to purchase a new BMW X5 for her this month. We shopped at performance BMW in Chapel Hill and had by far the worst customer experience of my life, I had never felt to low in front of my family. We then went to Mercedes of Cary and David Burr immediately came to our assistance. We wanted a SUV, and David showed us the GL450. Needless to say my wife and I (and our kids too) fell in love with the car, but just b/c you like a car, you still need to feel comfortable with the salesperson. David treated us exactly opposite from Performance BMW, and made us feel comfortable. Within less than 45 minutes worth of work, we traded in our car, got a brand new 2011 GL450, and know we made the right choice in both our car and salesperson. I have been in sales for many years, and I would love to have sales people such as David working on my TEAM!!! I would recommend Mercedes of Cary or David Burr to anyone that asks. more

David helped us over two years ago when my fiance and I were looking for a new car. He spent a while with us and we went over some options but at the end of the day we decided the time just wasn't right. Now two years later we were ready to move towards a new car and went out to the dealership and David was still there. He was just as helpful as he was the first time and patient with my methodical questions. My wife and I didnt know what car we wanted and test drove each car (Yes thats 4 test drives) he remained patient, understanding, and never pushed us. We decided to go with the E350 and he made the process very easy. He helped us negotiate a fantastic price and we came out that night with a new car. I can not stress how patient he was and explained all the car's options bells and whistles (there are quite a few these days). Thank you to David for your service! more

I also had an older car that I wanted to trade and David was extremely flexible with this as well. David and I corresponded back and forth about several cars and he found the perfect car for me.
