I would definitely recommend Marquardt to anyone getting ready to buy a vehicle. I stopped in on a recommendation from a coworker. I wanted to look at a used GMC Terrain, but it had been sold prior to my visit. Tim McIntyre showed me a new one and then explained some of the differences that I may see in an older model, used vehicle. Over the next two weeks, Tim kept me updated on any Terrain that became available that would potentially interest me. I decided to go with a new 2012 because of the 0% financing that was offered. Tim McIntyre was informative and laid back during the entire process and never pressured me to buy any of their vehicles. If you want to look at vehicles in a relaxed environment without the pressure found at some dealerships, I would strongly suggest looking at Marquardt of Barrington and speaking to Tim McIntyre. more

Very Friendly and not like any other dealership. \r When I went to purchase a bigger vehicle for my job, I dreaded it! You all know the service people all the normal car dealerships...It was SO not like that at Marquardt. The service was wonderful! They gave us space to talk, they didn't push and they kept us very informed. They answered all our questions and showed us car fax. I honestly would not go to any other place for a car! Marquardt will have my service for life. more

We have purchased seven cars from Marquardt mostly due to Tom Ostrow knowledge on the car we are looking at. He is not pushy and knows all about the cars and trucks Marquardt sells. more

Two time customer and will be back in the future 9/19/2011

I usually do not leave reviews, but I have purchased two vehicles at Marquardt and have been very happy with the vehicles as well as my experience in general. Everyone that I dealt with was very professional, especially my salesman, Tom. He was very informative, he was not pushy, and I really felt like he was looking out for my best interest. I am very confident with my purchase thanks to him. Good service is hard to find. We will continue to do business with this dealer in the future. more

New customer at Marquardt 7/20/2011

After a couple of months researching for our next new vehicle, the Buick Regal Turbo was the car. We dealt with a handfull of dealerships when Marquardt of Barrington and Cara Cannon presented the best deal. It was our first time in the dealership when we picked up the Regal Turbo and was greated with hospitality. Cara gave us a tour of he facility including the Service Departrment and felt a very friendly atmosphere. The experience was great and would suggest if your looking for a vehicle you should definately give Marquardt of Barrington a try. We were proud to do business with Cara and Marquardt of Barrington. more

Great Experience at Marquardt! 7/12/2011

I had a great experience at Marquardt!!! Miguel Sanchez was very welcoming and really made the experience from beginning to end a great one! I was able to test drive a few cars and really get the feel for what car made me feel was a MUST OWN. Miguel suggested the G6 and said it was the car for me! He was right and once I stepped in and drove it down barrington road, I knew it was the one! He made the process very easy and even knew what color was the right option for me. I referred friends to go and see Miguel since he was very knowledgeable and passionate about what car was right for each of his customers. I am so happy with my decision and am so glad I was able to have a great experience, one of which Miguel made very special! Thank you Miguel! more

Great Experience with integrity and caring. 7/7/2011

I have bought several cars from Marquardt through the years, and our latest still brought a great experience with Miguel as our salesperson. I have to say the entire dealer tries to go the extra mile and focus on customer service. They want people to come back, not just make a sale. So in buying our 2011 GMC Acadia, I felt he was helping us reach what was best for our family, not an adversary. On top of that Miguel is prompt, a hard worker(we test drove many cars on different days), with him being kind and consistent through the experience. We now consider him a friend, as well as having a great experience in purchasing. One other significant thing to mention was that they worked quite hard to make the financial processing a quick, but clear communication process, which I appreciate. Thank you Marquardt, good job. more

Buy from Marquardt of Barrington 7/6/2011

I have bought two GMC Denali's from Miguel Sanchez of Marquardt of Barrington. Miquel made the process easy AND enjoyable. \r I had a 2008 Lexus LX that would loose the suspension while driving. Considering the serious nature of this problem, I expected Lexus to work with me - which they did not. I began looking for another SUV and when I went to Marquardt of Barrington I was very happy and eager to work with a dealership of integrity. Miguel's follow-up during and after the purchase was excellent. \r I have purchased two Denali's from Marquardt of Barrington with Miguel's assistance and plan on returning to Miguel for my next one. Marquardt has an excellent Service Department and quality people on staff throughout. more

Jay Davis makes it easy to buy a car! 7/2/2011

3 years ago I wandered in to Marquardt Buick/GMC and ended up buying an GMC Acadia from Jay Davis. 3 years later we wanted to replace it and my first move was to go back and see Jay. This time we bought an Buick Enclave. Jay explained all the similarities to the Acadia and then all the differences: Quieter, more luxurious interior and a smoother ride. Jay knows his product. Buying at Marquardt is relaxing experience. I felt no pressure from Jay or the Sales and Finance Managers. The showroom and waiting area is like a lodge: high ceilings and exposed beams. They have a flat screen TV and a PC to use while waiting. Even a complimentary drink station. If you want to look at a Buick or GMC, I can't see going anywhere else. more

Buick from Marquardt – Best Choice 6/13/2011

My wife and I decided to trade in our Acura and after looking at many of the upscale cars decided on a Buick LaCrosse. Once we made the decision on the Buick we started the process of selecting a dealer. We visited three dealerships in our area and decided Marquardt of Barrington was our first choice for a myriad of reasons. Obviously, the point person at the dealership is the sales … we felt Jay best represented the Buick and the dealership. We made a couple of trips to Marquardt and on each occasion, Jay was very attentive and made certain we were making the best choice for our needs. In addition … we felt Marquardt offered the best choice for service. Jay made certain we met the right service managers and had a tour of the facility. We purchased the right Buick for us … thanks to Jay. We have had a chance to put our Buick through its paces and love the car and feel very positive about our new relationship with Marquardt of Barrington. more

Thanks, Cara! 6/6/2011

My daughter 'inherited' a 1997 Saturn as her first car, and took it to Marquardt for periodic maintenance (we love the service department, by the way!) A few weeks ago the Saturn began making a really weird noise -- I insisted my daughter take it in to be checked out -- long story short, it wasn't worth repairing. She was devastated, AND in desperate need of an immediate replacement. Cara took us both under her wing and went into action. She showed us our options and pointed out pros and cons of each vehicle. Neither of us can even begin to negotiate, but instead of taking advantage of this weakness, Cara even volunteered a couple discounts. My daughter was out the door that afternoon in her 2000 Dodge Intrepid, which she loves. I was relieved, pleased, and grateful. I would certainly recommend Marquardt, and Cara in particular to anyone looking for a used car. more

Excellent service as well as price 6/3/2011

I recently was in the market for a 2011 GMC Acadia. I began my search via the internet contacting numerous dealers. Marquardt was head and shoulders above their competition, both in timeliness and quality of the responses. Tim McIntyre contacted us initially and stayed with us throughout the process. Through the internet he provided me with specific answers to my questions as opposed to other dealers who responded in vague generalities and did nothing but try to lure me into the showroom. \r \r After the internet process, my wife and I made the dreaded trip to the showroom. We fully expected some part of the deal to change or to be talked into a more expensive vehicle. This did NOT happen whatsoever. Tim was true to his word, and could not have been more helpful. I have purchased over 15 vehilces and this experience was by far the easiest and least stressful.\r \r After purchasing the vehicle, Tim still treats us as a potential customer as opposed to someone he has already sold a car to. Next year, I need to replace my other car and I will be sure to contact Tim.\r \r All around great job Marquardt and Tim!! more

Outstanding Experience! 5/28/2011

My husband and I had been searching for a used Yukon or Suburban for a few months. After a horrible experience at a dealer followed up by no luck finding exactly what we wanted a friend referred us to Tim McIntyre at Marquardt. Looked online and saw they had a gorgeous Yukon XL Denali. Went that day and met Tim. WOW!!! What a class act. He knew the truck inside and out! One would think this would be typical, but we had met about 5 salesmen and he was the first one who actually had any knowledge about the vehicle we were looking at. He was honest and treated us like friends not like a commission check. The other employees we met treated us with the same courtesy and respect. Tim even warned us the paperwork may take a few minutes so he told us to take the Yukon and recommended a great place for dinner. Needless to say, we drove out that night with the vehicle we had been waiting for and an experience that we could have never even dreamed of. They have our business for life. Thank you Tim and Marquardt. Our family is now safe and comfortable:) more

Wonderful experience 5/22/2011

My husband and I just bought a used Yukon XL from Tim McIntyre for our family. We have 3 little girls, so it was important for us to find the right car and feel comfortable that the vehicle would be well maintained and safe for our little family. We were more than pleased with our experience. Tim went above and beyond for us which is hard to find these days. Honesty and integrity are the words that best describe Tim and the Marquardt family. We will never buy a car from anywhere or anyone else again! more

Not your typical dealership! 5/19/2011

My family had been in the market for a new/used vehicle for the last few months. Upon my father-in-law's recommendation, we called Tim McIntyre at Marquardt of Barrington to show us the vehicles they had in stock. From the moment we arrived, we could tell this was a different kind of dealership. We were in the market for a Yukon, so Tim showed us what was available, but said he was embarrassed that he didn't have anything nicer to show us. He put absolutely no pressure on us to buy, and even recommended coming back the following day to check out a vehicle that he knew was being traded in , because it was in perfect shape, and he could offer us better pricing. All-in-all our experience at Marquardt, especially with Tim McIntyre, was outstanding. We would recommend this dealership to everyone, and will return there for any future vehicles. more
