John Liles knows his product and is service oriented. He goes out of his way to work with his customers and ensure that whatever they select, they are completely happy with. My wife and I walked in just to do some window shopping. I recognized right off the bat that Luxury of Leather was different, and that I had stumbled upon a funiture specialist. \r \r Rooms to Go, Room Store, blah blah blah...they are all about volume and pushing out as much cheap product as possible. I know, because I have purchased there before. Big box stores such as those previously mentioned and others... while quick, easy, relatively inexpensive and painless, mean that you sacrifice quality. When you shop at Luxury of Leather, you are getting quality, hands down. \r \r We custom built our sofa and two recliners to our exact desires. You start with the type and sizes you are seeking. Then you pick out just how soft you want your cushions to be. Then you move on to the grains and colors of the multitude of leathers from across the world. You continue to build up your furniture all the way to the most minute details such as the foot stools and nail brads. (Try doing that at a Big Box store and see how far you get). When you are finished, you have built up exactly what you want! We had a very difficult room to work with, and John Liles even came to our house to visualize and measure out what our particular issues were. We customized the sofa to our specific widths and lengths we needed. NOW THAT IS CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!\r \r We could not possibly be more pleased with Luxury of Leather and the service of John Liles.\r \r Add to all of this, the fact that this furniture is custom built using quality materials right here in the DFW area. That's right, not China, North Korea, or even another State. We spent six months shopping for a new couch and love seat. Unfortunately we purchase from a large department store and only discovered how cheaply the furniture was made after we got it home. After several visits from the repairman which never fixed the problems, we asked the department store for a refund. They pointed out that the delivery papers we had signed included a ""no refund"" clause and since they could not fix it, all they could do was replace it. So we went ahead and ordered a new one to be delivered in six weeks. Four months later we still did not have the new one. Daily arguments with the store finally got us our money back. I was bound determined not to make the same mistake again and went to see John Liles at the Plano Luxury of Leather. From the time we walked in, the experience was wonderful. John showed us how furniture should be built and helped us select the grade of leather. We came back three times and spent a lot of time with John. We ordered our couch and love seat with upgraded leather and electric recliners. They were delivered on time and we have been enjoyed them now for nearly six months and expect to enjoy it for years to come. Take my advice, go see John first and get exactly what you want at a decent price. Forget about the China-made furniture from all the other places, you will need to replace it in two or three years! I went into the Luxury of Leather, a fews weeks ago. First I would like to say, the store atmosphere was remarkable. I had been shopping for a couple of weeks, and just walking into the store in Plano, put me at ease. I was greeted by a young gentleman, and I mean gentleman! His name was John Liles, he explained the whole process in depth, in clear terms, terms I could understand. I had my 87 year old mother with me, he made sure that she was comfortable, and at ease the whole time also. I ended up buying, and spending over my budget, but it was well worth it. The furniture is great! I would send all of my friends there in a heartbeat. If John is a direct reflection of the whole company, you can not go wrong with him. He even came out to my house to take measurements, on his day off!! He fixed my moms power chair also at our house, now I know this was not his job, but he saved us from having to buy her a new one! I wish more of todays youth was like that gentleman. I urge everyone, if you are in need of beautiful, American made, leather furniture, go see John at the Luxury of Leather in Plano, you will be amazed at the results. God Bless!! We did have to try three times to get hides that were a match to samples in the store. What was orginally presented to us did not really come close to the samples hanging on their wall. However once we did find the right hides to work with, our sofas were made quickly and to our complete satisfaction. They are lovely. We were treated with respect and courtesy by Mr. Bouldin at the corporate office, and John Liles at the retail store went out of his way to be helpful. We ordered our furniture on March 15th. The hides were in and ready for our approval (we got to take one home to view in the exact light in which the furniture would be viewed) the following weekend. April 3rd, my beautiful new sofa (with 2 electric incliners) and incliner chair were delivered. \r \r I can't say enough about the in-store service we received from Andy Pritchett. He was very knowledgable about the styles, options, and available leathers. He answered all of our questions and helped us choose the perfect furniture for our needs. He explained the process and exactly what we could expect and he was right on the mark. \r \r Besides being in love with our new furniture, I was blown away with delivery! The day I returned the approved hide, I was given a delivery date! The day before that date, I got a call to tell me what time to expect them. I was give a 1 hour delivery window - 10:30 - 11:30 am!!! Who gives a 1 hour delivery or service window anymore? I thought, yeah right, I'll believe it when I see it. So the next day when 10:30 am arrived, I looked out my front window to see the delivery truck backing up! They were in and out in less than 12 minutes with my furniture set in place, tested to make sure that the electric incliners were working (they were) and making sure that I didn't have any problems or questions!
