Just bought my perfect car, a 2009 Chevy Malibu LTZ. Had an excellent buyers experience. All of the people I dealt with we're professional and very helpful. The whole process was quick and easy. Thank you everyone who helped me! more

Editorial review from Citysearch 7/2/2012

Just purchased a 2008 dodge from KCDJ. The sales staff was very proffessional and courtious( Thanks Mary), and the finance dept was also very pleasant to deal with (Michael). But however when I went to pick up the truck it took approx 45 mins just to get the 30 day tag........Then as I got to the vehicle I found that the detail job was the poorest job I have ever seen. There was a ton of wax left on the vehicle and in all the crevases. The interior of the vehicle looks as though it may have been vacumed but not real well. The rest of the interior was very dirty and dusty, looks as though the rag used had more dirt on it than the truck. There were a handfull of ashes on the sterring column. If I hadnt had a long day at work I would have stayed and supervised the clean up of the vehicle myself. To me what I see is once the paper work is done and you own it, you own dirt and all.... IF you buy from KCDJ make sure before you take the final step and make the last signature MAKE SURE yourself that the vehicle is clean to your satisfaction. The chance that you get an email response later is very slim.......Ive seen better dealers for after sales responses. more

I have purchased many vehicles in my 62 years, but this one one of the easiest and best transactions ever. Kevin and Don in finance along with the ladies are the best!.. I had a little problem with my bank and they handled it! I highly recommend this dealership to anyone! more

This was the 1st time I've purchased a 5/30/2012

This was the 1st time I've purchased a car in over 10 years and I must say I was very pleased with my experience at Kernersville Chrysler Dodge. Let's face it, we all hate having to do all the dealership stuff. When it's time, you want to know your dealing with a professional staff and a place that has a good reputation. I worked with Omar Fernando and he was just great ! Great deals here too !! Much better than I had found elsewhere. more

Best car buying experience ever 5/15/2012

I was in the market for a full size diesel truck. I found Kernersville Dodge on ebay. They had every truck any one could want. I decided to drive from Chapel Hill to look at each brand of truck in one place. The sales rep showed me, my wife, and two kids around the lot. We picked out about eight trucks to look at. He went and got the keys. We played with each truck until we finally found one to drive. The sales rep never acted impatient or like we were wasting his time. We decided on the truck we wanted and came to a deal. There was no pressure, no arguing. Everybody was laid back, yet very professional. They gave me the feeling that they were focused on my best interests, not their own. I left with a nice truck at a good price and a smile! more

Worry free and efficient 5/15/2012

Worked with Omar Serapio. Worth the drive up from Charlotte. Good price, generous trade in value, and smooth financing. Overall, very happy with my purchase and choice of Kernersville Dodge. Would recommend. more

Experience a Kernersville Dodge 4/23/2012

We had a half-way good experience at Kernersville Dodge. The sales rep and the finance manager were great to work with. Can't say the same about Blake, the General manager. I had told the sales rep that I had already taken care of our financing thru my credit union. This seemed to irritate the sales manager so he wanted to meet with my wife and I in a strong arm kind of way so he could run the financing thru Kernersville Dodge with my credit union. I felt like if we didn't do that there could be a problem. So we allowed it. The main problem was when he sat before us in flip-flops and shorts. That wasn't too bad. It was kind of rude when he spoke with a wad of chewing tobaco in his mouth. Not very professional. This person would not work for me unless he cleaned his act up. We were not impressed. I was also emailed a Company survey and somehow lost it on my computer. I have asked the sales rep on 4 different occassions to re-send it and as of yet, not received it. Other than that, things went pretty well. more

Still On The Fence...Even AFTER Buying! 3/9/2012

I located the SUV that I wanted on Kernersville Chrysler Dodge's website. Before I could click the submit button, Angela Alcorn from the Internet Sales department was calling me!! I thought that this must be the start of supurb customer service, I guess this is why I don't get paid for thinking! I told Angela the SUV on their website that I was interested in and she told me that she would submit my information to the bank and give me a call back. 2 days later, and I was still waiting for Angela to call me back! more

Wonderful!!!! 3/6/2012

I have been dealing with Kernersville Dodge since 2004. They serviced my Grand Caravan while I was deployed to Iraq. They even corrected some things that imy wife had done at a dodge dealer in Winston Salem for free. I have bought 2 vehicles from them. Saturday I bought a Chrysler 300. My sales associates name was Mary. She was a wonderful sales woman and i got a great deal on a really nice used car. Everyone at Kernersville dodge is friendly. I have never seen the associates hounding people as soon as they walk on the lot like some people have mentioned in their post. Car sales is comission driven. They sell more cars than any other dealer in the area. Because of the courtesy they extended to my wife during my deployment , and the great service depatment that Benji is running I would recommend them to anyone in the market for a car, new or used. more

Could've been 5 stars, but..... 1/31/2012

purchased a 2008 Jeep Wrangler from this dealership Saturday 01/28/2012. The sales experience was great and the paperwork was quick and painless. I also purchased the extended warranty on the Jeep. After arriving home with the Jeep I realized the AUX port on the radio was malfunctioning. The dealership is closed Sunday. I waited until Monday to call and speak with the dealership about the problem. Being that the car was less than 3 days into my ownership I assumed they would at a minimum offer to look at the radio. The answer I recieved was ""Unless its the drive train or engine I would not be able to do anything about that"" I asked when I would be able to use the extended warranty even though the $100 deductible for warranty seemed over the top for a port to be repaired. The dealership informed me I would have to wait 30 days to use the warranty. Overall I rate the dealership 3 stars, had they handled the port situation I would have rated 5 stars and recommeded this dealership to everyone. However; now I will not recommed this dealership for the purchase of any used vehicle. If you do purchase from this dealership make sure you check every little thing before you sign any paperwork. The internet ad also stated the Jeep came with an additional soft top which was not included. 3 stars is a fair rating for Kernersville Chrysler Dodge. more

Good value 1/30/2012

This was my first time buying a car on my own. I was in the market for a used car and I intended to pay cash for the vehicle. After shopping around for about a few weeks, I was astonished at how much some dealers were asking for cars in worse shape than my current car. I went here because their advertised prices were much lower than other dealers. I ended up test driving several cars, but I thought something must be wrong with them because the asking prices were significantly lower than KBB Retail value, but they were in line with the Private Party price. Like other commenters, they didn't go down much on the price, but they didup several hundred dollars on the trade in. For those offer to go who commented on them not budging on the price, the prices were actual reasonable and not marked up as much as other dealers. The sales people didn't pressure me and the purchase process was simple and fast. more

Wolves in sheepâ??s clothing? 12/22/2011

Experienced Buyer who purchased a 4 yr old vehicle: Found it while doing an online search, and drove about 2 hrs to look at it. As soon as we arrived my wife said, “Ever feel like a piece of meat?” There were 4-5 salespeople milling around outside the building’s entrance. These sharks/vultures created a poor first impression. Doc fee is $500…very high; Offer NO GENERAL WARRANTY ON USED VEHICLES they sell. Many dealerships do, especially when they have a multi-point inspection process, and this dealer claims to provide a “125-point inspection” and to be a “Five Star Certified” dealership. But they sure push the extended warranty ($thousands) and gap coverage on the loan ($hundreds); They complete the above inspection and fluid change on all used vehicles before they are put on the lot for sale, per the salesman, even if the vehicle is not judged to be a “Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle,” afterwards. But the “Change Oil” message came on in my vehicle the day after I bought it. Considering the salesman told me it had been on the lot a very short time, that means the best case scenario is their techs don’t know how to reset the computer on a vehicle they have serviced; worst case scenario is they did no inspection, at all, or that they did not change any fluids; After test driving, I returned home to think about whether or not I wanted to purchase. Once I decided, I made a $500 deposit via phone using my credit card to hold it til I could return. I made it clear that I wanted this refunded when I arrived, as I wished to finance the entire amount. I asked twice as we began our paperwork with the salesman (Kreg) and he promised he would take care of it while we finalized our paperwork with his manager. HE DID NOT, so we were forced to wait an add’l 30 minutes after buying for him to finish with another customer. When he finally took me to the cashier, she acted as if it was ruining her day to re-scan my card and punch a couple of buttons. Unfriendly and unprofessional would be understatements! I was provided an “out the door” price via email from a Finance Mgr, incl taxes and fees, tags, title, etc., along with a quote of the monthly amount. When finalizing paperwork on the day I returned to buy, this had increased, without explanation; Angela is helpful and nice, but all she does is computer contacts and app’t setting. Blake, a sales/financing manager, was awesome to deal with via email. (I rcvd no calls from my salesperson, however. NONE in response to either emails or voicemails I left!) Jeff, another Manager, was simply one of the most ‘holier-than-thou’ and fake people I have ever dealt with. Put on a great act for us early, but once we bought, he never spoke again or even acknowledged our presence on the 3 trips we made past his “tower of power.” Positives: Great selection and the best used vehicle pricing in a wide area (I searched for 2 months in 4 states--- making several long-distance trips for test-drives--- and they were notably better on pricing than any other). Also offer great financing (again, I could not beat what they obtained for me through Truliant Credit Union), and are fairly low-pressure in their sales tactics; Negatives: YOU ARE NOTHING BUT A NUMBER to them. Jeff told me they sell 200 used cars each month, alone, before he became mute. As soon as you buy, they all show they have no further interest in you. Did I buy? Yes. Was I pleased enough with the overall process to return, or to recommend the dealership to others? Probably not. I DID NOT LEAVE WITH WARM-FUZZIES after spending over $19k… and I deserved that! Update 3/10/12: Rcvd notice from lien-holder that they had not rcvd title from dealership >2 MONTHS AFTER PURCHASE!! This from the primary financial institution that the dealership uses/promotes??!! RUN AWAY, folks!!!!!!!!! more

Good experience! 11/26/2011

I called regarding a car that was advertised on the internet, arrived to look at it that evening and Dave F, took me out, let me drive it on the highway and even offered to let me take it home that night. THAT I wasn't prepared for. I didn't think dealers did that anymore. I will admit I expected hi pressure sales, as there was (as mentioned by others) the tower of terror - kind of hokey guys, how about getting rid of that. When I came back with my spouse, I had already had my loan approved through my bank, took it to a mechanic and had it looked over, and come bank with a short list of problems. We reached a mutual decision and I honestly feel that I got a great car at a really good price! No hassle, no pressure, not stress. For all those with complaints - get a loan approved before you go, and look over the car - I knew EXACTLY what I was getting when I bought it. Thanks Kernversville. I appreciated the assistance! more

Some of the nicest people we have ever met. 10/18/2011

Our experience with Kernersville Dodge was the best car buying experience yet. Patrick our salesman was awesome. He was very helpful and stayed with us from the begining to the end when we signed the paperwork and left the dealership. Jeff the finance manager was a hoot. He was very nice to us and made our experience at the dealership a pleasant one. Not only did we purchase a 2011Honda CR-V for me this past Saturday 10/15/11, but we purchased a Dodge 3500 in September for my husband. Had a great experience both times. Will be purchasing our next vehicles there as well. Thank you Kernersville Dodge. more

I will be back 10/7/2011

Great deal, great experience and really appreciate all Kelly did to help me get into my new vehicle. I purchased a used Cadillac SRX from KCDJ last week and cannot say enough about how well I was treated and what a great deal I got on my new ride. I would highly recommend Kelly and KCDJ for your next vehicle purchase. more

Words cannot describe how bad these guys are 10/6/2011

By far the worst experience I have ever had purchasing a car, and I've bought several. Salesman seemed indifferent and didn't talk much. Went along with my wife to purchase a new Chrysler 200. They pulled the usual tricks of low-balling the trade, playing with payment amounts, etc. My wife qualified for the 0% instead of taking a rebate. As soon as we agreed to that, the sales manager tried switching us to a 2.9% loan which he said allowed us to use the rebate as a down payment, reducing the principal of the loan, etc. There ended up being a $65 monthly difference if we did that! Once we made a deal, and got the 0% ,we were ushered to the Finance Managers Office. Boy, was this guy a piece of work! Rude, argumentative, and unprofessional come to mind. He started out by trying to push the extended warranty/gap coverage. These are both a financially unsound addition to a new car loan, and are just huge moneymakers for the dealership. When I declined on behalf of my wife (who didn't fully understand his pitch), he rudely stated ""Don't you think we should let her decide?"" Unbelievable a-hole. When we got to looking at the contract before signing, I immediately noticed that $300 of our promised trade in value had disappeared. I guess they thought we wouldn't notice their sneaky crap. Anyway, this guy gets on the phone to the sales manager and begins rudely addressing him and screaming on the phone in front of us. My wife even asked this jerk if he was OK. Only after careful review of every facet of the deal did we get what we were promised on the sales floor. These guys are what give car dealerships a bad name. Oh, and one more thing I noticed - We observed a guy behind the sales ""tower"" wearing shorts and flip flops (I was shocked). We were told he was the General Manager. How very professional, buddy. In summation - RUN FROM THIS DEALERSHIP! I will never step foot on their lot again, even for service. I'm totally surprised that they have any good reviews at all, based on what I saw. The only reason I give them 1 star is because it doesn't allow you to give none. more

Buying Experience @ K-ville Dodge 9/2/2011

I just purchased my third Dodge Challenger from Kernersville Dodge. As always, they were very friendly, knowledgable, and very willing to work with me in all areas of the process with no hard sales pressure. I never have to sit thru a long puchase process and the service department always gets me in and out in a timely manner. Just a great place to do business. more
