Industrial Disposal

This co. is the worst I have ever been involved with.\r I signed up for service, the next day I found out that I had to move, I called them ,they said ""no problem"" they came and picked up their can,Still brand new- & clean, and kept my $75.\r When I called them about it ,they said ""I'll get back to you"".\r Then they sent me a bill for $13.41! \r Then they sent me a ""final demand letter""\r I am going to my lawyer on this! more

I live in Oldham County and I've never had a problem with ID. They always pick up my trash on time, and as long as I call ahead, they will pick up larger items like old furniture. more

I have lived in Oldham County over 15 years and have never had any problems with ID. Price is reasonable and service is good. They have very good prices on dumpsters too. When I first moved here I contracted with ID and shorly after I received a bill from Rumpke, I think it was, out of Cincinnati. I called to let them know I didn't have service with them and asked how they got my name and I was told that one of their drivers went thru my garbage and found my name. Imagine that. And, I have a friend in Jeff Co who had been paying WM $25 monthly until I told her she was being overcharged so WM knocked off a couple of dollars and told her they would give her a senior citizen discount as a courtesy. Things could be worse. more

Looks like I.D. hasn't improved much on the customer service that has been repeatedly commented on in a negative way. Unfortunately Oldham County took away our freedom to choose who we want to pay and have to deal with concerning our garbage service. Typical why we don't get considerate helpful service because they don't have to worry about because they know we are STUCK with them. Let's hope Oldham County fires them. We deserve more than what we have to deal with. They did resolve my problem with a ""courtesy run"" and glad they are doing so but had to go through several excuses why they did not pick up when at other times they did it anyway. Unprofessional and it's a sad company. more

Very, very rude customer service when calling in to establish a new account. Just nasty negative attitude, kept telling me to speak up even though I was quiet loud. After loosing connection or getting hung up on near the end of our conversation. Their lines were convenient busy for 15 minutes until the ""we are closed"" recording picked up 10 minutes before 5:00. So not worth the $4 a quarter in savings. Especially after reading all the other reviews I will be sticking with Sweetland who could hear me just fine over the phone. They are always on time, never missed a pickup, the guys always go out of their way to wave & say hello & have always taken everything we put out for pick up. Even when I called in to cancel the lady was so polite & wish me well & thanked me for the past business. So take note I.D. that is how you treat a customer! more

Everyone's experience appears to vary. Thus far, mine have been pretty good; but I'm not a difficult person to please. We had a container that fell apart, and it was replaced on the next pickup. We got missed a few times, called, and it was picked up within 3 or 4 days. One time, I figured they were not going to pick it up, so I rolled it back down the driveway and when the driver showed up, he went all the way down the driveway to pick up the container...which was good. I'm a firm believer that in today's economy, there is no excuse for companies not making the time and effort to upgrade their company with better employees when necessary. We are probably lucky to have a good driver, at the same time, if our container is not full and has plenty of space, we don't put it out on the curb as it would waste the time (and energy!) of the disposal company. Life is a give and take; we should all do a better job of working with one another instead of focusing on all the negative. Thanks ID... more

This has got to be the worst company I have ever dealt with. They also have the nastiest people in there customer service department. This company will not even pick a box up here in Oldham County if you set it out!! They even forget to pick up your trash from time to time! I have to deal with them since I am in OC or I would have never went with this company. Total waste of my money to pay them and they don't even perform the service I pay for.... more

It's yard waste pickup season again. I've paid the required seasonal bill in full and was told my first service would begin on April 7, 2011. I called ID and was told by the CSR that my yard waste would be picked up as schedule. When I pulled into my driveway this afternoon and the yard waste can still full, I really should not have been surprised that the yard waste can was not emptied. This is a repeat of poor service all over again. We went through this last season. I should have known ID would not meet their contractual agreement.. Last season I had to get into the habit of calling them every Wednesday to make sure they had us on the yard waste schedule. I know what is going to be said to me when I call the office on Friday at 7:00am, - I'll have to wait until next Thursday to have that can emptied. They won't make a special run Friday or Saturday to pick up the yard waste. That means I'll have to bundle and or put the clippings from the upcoming weekend in another receptical. Which I shouldn't have to do since I should have an empty 90 gallon canI was counting on to use. I've paid for a full seasonsal pickup and I'm not receiving what I paid for!!! I should receive service for what I paid for. ID poor service, I'm going to let the BEMA know that we may want to look for a different disposal service for our community. more

I am a customer at Oldham County and ID has always been prompt and reliable when I have had anything that needs to be taken care of in bulk. Just ask them and they will give a solution. Some people in Oldham think that they have to have everything perfect. First look at yourselves and if you have not fault in what you do for work, then and only then you may judge others. I believe for me and my neighborhood that they are doing fine. more

I have had nothing but a great experience with Industrial Disposal. When ever I call they answer promptly. For the past 9 months my cans have been placed back where they were and many time I could not even tell they were emptied. more

Tried for the last several days to reach Customer Service. Never was taken off of hold. Waited on hold for over an hour. Canceled service because of this. Cons: Customer Service more

I can not give them a star rating because they don't deserve one. Oldham County made the biggest mistake ever in making the residence go with this company. I would like Rumpke back. Sometimes they pickup and sometimes they don't. Just depends on their mood I guess. I have canceled my service. I can take care of my own trash removal and not have to deal with some of the most rudest people in the business. Cons: hateful hateful people more

I am still disgusted that our only option for trash removal in Oldham County is Industrial Disposal. They are never on time and never once in 6 years have I ever received notification that service was delayed or moved to another day. Trash is not picked up and still have to pay for the service. Cans are left sitting in the middle of the street. Consistently have to pick up trash out of the street and yard every week even though cans are placed correctly and bags are tied up. Calling office is a waste of time. As you can see mine is not the only negative comment on this company. They have terrible customer service and truly lazy staff - or flat stupid policies. Regardless it equals poor value for the mone. We had a different service before we moved and they were AWESOME - I'm pretty sure it was RUMPKE. I'm looking to switch because they've been aweful a number of times - so not an isolated experience and I'm done with them. Seems like they would get the picture, but no.... my god i have two blue trash cans ok and say i had a couple extra bags ok and i put them out ther the idiot just left them ther and i was pist that he left them i called them and gave them a pice of my mind and guess what the still didnt take ank extra gabge. so you need to think twice before you get this crapy service. more

I would not recommend ID for garbage pickup. Their truck is designed to pick up 2 cans which have to be lined up in a specific position. One week I had a little more garbage then what the 2 bags could hold so I had 3 bags lying on top of the cans. Instead of the man getting out of his truck to throw 3 cans in the truck, he picked up one can which knocked the bags on the ground. He left the bags on the ground next to a full can. I consider this a lazy worker. When I called customer service, they informed me that they would be out the same day to pick up the garbage. When I called later in the afternoon to see if they were still coming I was told that the person should not have told me that. The customer service lady told me it takes 24 hours therefore it would be the next day. When I contacted them the next day around 1 o'clock to confirm that they were coming. I was put on hold and was accused of having yard waste in my can. She asked me to go through my can to check for yard waste and then call her back. She would not give me a time when they would pick up my garbage. She accused me of yelling at her. I explained that I had already made 3 phone calls (not to mention I've been given 3 different answers) and that I was not yelling at her, but I was upset. I told her I wanted to cancel my service and then she put me on hold for such a long time that I hung up. I had to make a 4th phone call to be told that they would pick up my cans the next scheduled pickup date (almost a whole week away). Needless to say, their customer service is poor. Their rates are no less then their competitors. I must also mention that I had always paid my bill on time so I only expected them to pick up my garbage on time. Instead of them addressing their lazy worker, they made false accusations toward me. I never received an apology from anyone at ID. more

Today is another day when I didn't receive a pickup. This happens infrequently but it seems to run in batches. My other dissatisfaction with this company stems from hugh prices for spring and fall yard waste pickup. I've not used it because it's unaffordable. There is also a high fee for their scheduled junk pickup days that can be arranged when needed. This seems unfair to a single person, like me, who sometimes skips 2 set out days due to my low garbage output. I think it's time to shop around for other servers. more
