Hayward Auto Care

Hayward Auto Care did a couple of things for me. The most recent one was repairing a defective strut I got from another company. They did a replacement for that, and I took the defective one back. The other thing they did for me was resolve a gas pedal issue I was having. I had been using regular instead of premium gas, and the pipe got clogged up. Hayward Auto Care was pretty fast and nice. In fact, I thought they were really, really fast! They also told me everything that was wrong, and they even washed my car! I would recommend them. more

I think Hayward Auto Care has great service and I think their prices are very reasonable. Whenever I have an emergency with my car, they give us first hand and immediate support, it's not like when you call other places and there's no response. They take time to explain and walk me through what the problem is and what needs to be done. I think they are easy to work with. more

Long history of very good service. Professional, Honest, Upfront on pricing. The Mechanics are very detailed oriented. Have had service performed on various makes and models with no UNSATISFACTORY results! The price for a Manufactures , (HONDA), 30K maint. is VERY rerasonable. The difference between the the dealer's and Hayward Auto work. is the Price. I would have paid $200.00-$300.00 More at Honda. I believe Ken does more than advertised. He has done the little things, (Adjust Drivers side Door)without additional cost. Very knowledgeable and friendly.....I do not take any of my Vehicles any where else. more

I work for an environmental company that services the majority of repair shops in the Bay Area. Since I reside in Hayward Ca. I needed to decide on a shop near home. Dealerships were out of the question because they're too expensive unless your vehicle is still under warranty. After thorough research I chose Hayward Auto Care. I already have recommended Hayward Auto Care. I'm really happy with these guys! I'm so happy with them. I was going to another shop with my truck. This other shop changed my oil, said they installed a new filter, but I wanted to double-check when I got home. I checked, and I had no oil. A week later, the engine went out. I bought another vehicle, and I took it to Hayward Auto Care. They fixed everything! I found them through my niece and sister-in-law. They recommended them to me, and I'm happy with them. Hayward Auto Care has some very nice people. They are very concerned about your problems. They really listen to what the problem is, and they really explained it all to me. They explained what I had to do after I didn't pass my smog test, and the diagnostics they would have to run. They called and told me what was wrong, what needed to happen after they checked it out, and how much it was going to cost. They were really informative. They're really nice people who were genuinely concerned about making my vehicle safe. more

It can be hard to find a mechanics who actually do what they say they will do, but Ken always delivers. And, he does quality work. I recommend Hayward Auto on a weekly basis. Hayward Auto Care is a little more expensive than other shops, but Ken does really good work. We have a really good relationship. Whenever I have a problem I call, and he gets me in immediately. Hayward Auto Care was recommended by a friend of mine and I have used them about 10 times now. They have done regular scheduled maintenance for me and also serviced my transmission. Everything has been fine, but recently I found out that they had forgotten to use synthetic oil after they flushed my engine. I had told them I wanted to use synthetic and thought that was what they were using, but it turned out they had been using regular oil. There were no records documenting any of this. Other than the oil issue, I have not had any problems with Hayward Auto Care. Their service is good and I would recommend them. more

Hayward Auto Care has been servicing my cars for a couple of years now. They have done oil changes, brakes, and a few service checks, including the mid-level maintenance service. I rate them the best in all categories because of their fair price and very good quality work. more

I have an extended warranty on my vehicle, so I only have to pay the deductible. Ken, at Hayward Auto Care, is really good about taking care of the car insurance so that the only thing I have to do is give him the deductible. When I called about the extended warranty the first time, they gave a few dealers in the area who accepted it. Ken was one of them. I called him up and told him what the problem was, and he told me to bring the car in. He called me a couple of hours after getting the car to tell me what the problem was, and that it would be done in a couple of days. When I picked it up, Ken showed me exactly what was wrong and what he replaced. He also gave me some information about problems to look for that are typical with my engine. The next time I went to him because my power steering went out. I called Hayward Auto Care up and they told me to bring it right over. He just told me to leave the extended warranty paperwork with him, and that evening it was ready to pick up. The first time I used them it was for an oil leak, and my car hasn't leaked since. The second time was for the power steering, and the steering has never been better. They are really friendly. It is no big hubbub there, and not a lot of red tape. I have seen people drive up, Ken greets them, tells them to park the car, and he takes care of it. He is very accommodating. more
