Great Experience. 5/6/2015

This was the first time I worked with Hayward Auto Care. Their staff was very friendly. They installed a new starter on my '93 Buick. I got a reasonable price, and they performed the service on Saturday, which was great. Their shop was nice, clean, and orderly. I would recommend them. more

Personable, very businesslike, and the outcome of the job was perfect 5/5/2015

Hayward Auto Care fixed an electrical short in my car. They were efficient and the technician knew what to do to find the problem. Finding an electrical short is not an easy task, but they did a wonderful job resolving the problem. Trust them, they're good. more

Great experience, service and quality! 1/13/2015

Hayward Auto Care does simple and nice things that I really enjoyed, like saying "Hello." I brought my car in for breaks replacement and was called the next day for a few other things I was recommended to replace on the car. They gave me the car the very next day. Their location was walking distance, so that was a plus. And, I really liked that they work on hybrid cars. more

Very knowledgeable and friendly. 1/8/2015

I brought my Jaguar type S into Hayward Auto Care for a smog check. Unfortunately, it did not pass the first check. I brought my car back the following week and they offered me a free re-check. The technician did a little reworking and then told me to drive it for 200 miles, and if the engine light didn't come on then there weren't any additional problems. After I did that, I passed the second check. It was a fast service and everyone at Hayward Auto Care was really friendly. One of the associates even let me charge my iPhone. I would recommend their service. more

Diagnosed and fixed the problem! 1/7/2015

I had a problem with the starter in my car and Hayward Auto Care was the only shop able to diagnose and fix the problem! They guys are friendly! more

Surprisingly Good Service! 1/5/2015

We had to go to Hayward Auto Care when our Jeep Liberty needed repairs. After sending the Jeep to the Chrysler dealership and having them mess up on the repairs and bloat the prices to astonishingly high numbers, I went to Hayward Auto Care where they were able to complete everything that I needed done and on half the price of what the Chrysler dealership quoted. The crew was really knowledgeable and honest with me about what repairs I needed, and the service was very quick. I would definitely recommend them to my friends and neighbors. more

Friendly, knowledgeable, and they don't rip you off. 12/8/2014

I have been a customer of Hayward Auto Care since February. The technicians are very friendly and knowledgeable. They work on my '06 Scion XB. Recently, they did a basic service on it, which included an oil change and a new driving belt. I commute, so I have tried a ton of mechanics. What's notable about Hayward Auto Care's service, is they don't rip you off. My only concern is that their shop is moving a few miles away, and the new location is less convenient. Other than that, I would recommend them. more

Excellent, honest and friendly service. 12/1/2014

This was the first time I worked with Hayward Auto Care. I usually bring my Toyota Sienna to the dealership, but I heard that Ken Ly offered better options. Ken was knowledgeable, honest, and friendly. He was able to do some work on my van that made it more fuel efficient and allowed it to run better. He also takes the time to explain everything. I would recommend him. more

Enjoyable experience. 11/21/2014

Hayward Auto Care has serviced my Nissan Maxima for about four or five years. The technicians are knowledgeable. They typically advise me on situations that might be a potential hazard in the future. I check into their suggestions and they're pretty accurate. The most recent service was a routine oil change, and I'll likely go to them for a tune-up soon. I would recommend them. more

I have been going to Hayward Auto Care for so long they feel like family. 11/7/2014

I have been having Hayward Auto Care for nine years. They do all of the maintenance on all five of my vehicles. He does my 100,000 mile check up and all of my tune ups. I have an older vehicle that often needs work and he always does the maintenance on that. The price is fair. Overall my experience has been great and I have never had any problems with them. more

Good Experience. 10/31/2014

This was the first time I worked with Hayward Auto Care. They did work on my 2001 Toyota Corolla. They performed a 65,000 mile check on it and solved some other issues. The technician recommended that I clean out the fuel jets. I was a little skeptical about that extra cost, but I had been noticing recently that my mpg dropped to around 25, but after the cleaning it brought it up to at least 29 mpg. So, that worked out well. I would recommend them. more

A great experience 10/28/2014

Hayward Auto Care has good prices and does work that needs to be done. It is nice to have an honest mechanic to work with. He goes above and beyond, and when he's done, the engine and everything else is just spotless. He is super clean, and he doesn't leave grease stains on the steering wheel or dashboard. He doesn't try to charge me for unnecessary work either. I feel very confident leaving my car there. I love knowing that I am getting charged the right price, and that nothing unnecessary is being done. more

Honest and awesome service 10/27/2014

I've actually had Hayward Auto Care do a couple of jobs for me. They are always good at finding problems, and also went over some of the things that my dealership had missed. The price of their work was a fraction of what the dealership would have charged, so they saved me a lot of money.The work was completed fast, and communication was great. They explained everything to me before starting the job. Overall I'm very happy with their service, and they were pleasant to deal with. more

Knowledgeable and quick mechanic 10/24/2014

I had been going to two other auto shops, and they were not as good as Hayward Auto Care. The mechanic and owner, Ken, working there has an extensive background in Japanese vehicles. He knows what he is doing. I always go to Hayward Auto Care now. I never have to wait for my vehicle, and he always gives me a time frame of when the vehicle will be ready. more

Best experience I have ever had with an auto place! 10/18/2014

We have recently moved back to the bay area and needed some service on my car. I thought making an appointment with a known place would be best so I made it with firestone. They were trying to charge me $411 to get a tune up so I picked my care up from there and called Hayward Auto Care. The owner is so nice and charges a lot less then the big name auto service places. He did my tune up the same day with out any appointment or hassel and at a very affordable price. Very happy with my experience. Hayward Auto Care is owned by a very sweet, honest couple which is why I will definitely go to them again in the future and recommend them to anyone! more

I've had a couple experiences with Hayward Auto Care, since I had bought a used Volkswagen GTI from a private owner. There was an issue with the engine, so I brought the car to Ken. While thinking about the possible issues, he called me back and verified some details with me that I had not described very well on my part. Ken was able to diagnosed my Volkswagen (the turbocharger was no running). I really appreciate that instead of replacing the turbo charge, and making me pay two thousand dollar, he instead repaired it and I paid 600 dollars! Ken did not go into sweet talking me to replace the part. They are confident about what they do, and I also feel confident about them! more
