I have been very satisfied with the performance of Hayward Auto Care. I have probably been using them for 4 or 5 months, and they are very knowledgeable. more

I have gone back to Hayward Auto Care 3 times. The first time was after I had my car for a year, it was a couple hundred dollar repair, and he fixed it. The next time I went back Ken fixed my heads. Finally, the third time there was a repair that I thought was going to be a couple thousand dollars, but it ended up being less than I thought. I would definitely go back to Hayward Auto Care. Ken is thorough and good. He explains everything well. I had my husband call him too, and he told my husband the exact same things he told me. He didn't treat me differently as a woman. A lot of car places try to rip people off, especially women. I value Ken's opinion and think he is great. more

My experience with Hayward Auto Care was great. I was recommended to them by my grandmother, and she has been going there for years. They really focus on customer service and servicing the vehicles well. It was my first time using them. My starter wasn't working, so they fixed that, and they also worked on my brakes. I would definitely consider going there again. They are a great place to go in Hayward. more

The towing guy was really cool. He was efficient and really quick. The only negative was dealing with the lady over the phone, but everything else was fine. Overall, the job got done, so I was satisfied. more

I have had very good experiences with Hayward Auto Care. What they did, they did well. They have good customer care. I am going back to have them check something, and it has not been a big deal. Hayward Auto Care has been great. I have had absolutely no problems with them. The repairs are always good. Every time Ken tells me he is going to do something, he does it. I have been going to them for about 3 or 4 years now. When you go to him you know that Ken will do as he says, and even more than what a dealer would do. When he quotes the price for his 30,000 mile maintenance, everything is included. At the dealership they don't include a lot of the stuff that Hayward Auto Care gives their customers. Out of all the places I have brought my cars, the best experience I have ever had was recently with Hayward Auto Care. I have a Chevy, and my engine light was on, so I did some research and decided to try Hayward Auto. When I called and told Ken about my complaints he told me to bring it in at 9 the next morning. I called the next morning because I was running late, but it was not a problem at all. Because the shop is situated behind another company I got lost, but when I called, Ken's wife was great about directing me into the shop. As soon as I got there both Ken and his wife came out to greet me right away. I didn't even have to wait to get someone's attention to help me. Ken looked through the car with me, and I told him all about my complaints. He told me that it was no problem, that he needed to do a diagnostic and that he would call me when it was done. An hour later he called me with what we needed to do. Ken also told me that we could wait on one of the repairs because it didn't actually need to be done right away. He said that in 3 months when we do an oil change we will look at it and do it then. When we decided to move forward with the repairs he asked if I could be without my car for one day. He didn't inform me of how long it was going to take, instead he asked me if a certain time frame would work for me. The mannerism and respect of that was amazing. Hayward Auto Care puts themselves into my shoes. Ken told me he would call me the next day when it was done, and he actually called the next morning before noon. Ken had gone into the shop early so that he could work on my car and get it done. I knew that he really wanted to please me. He was doing it from his heart. The repairs cost me $500. I did my research and it probably should have been more like $1000. Also, when I picked up my car he had done so many different things that he didn't even charge me for. Ken cleaned my entire engine, detailed my tires, and washed and waxed the car. That is the incredible extra mile that he took. My car looked brand new. Nobody really does anything for free anymore, but he did. Hayward Auto Care also went over every part that they changed in my car and actually showed me the old parts. Ken lined up the old parts in order for me to see what had been done. He told me to drive the car and then call him to let him know how it worked. The car sounds brand new. When I drove it, I could tell the difference in 5 minutes. Two of the main complaints I had were about the brakes and my ignition. No one had been able to fix my brakes to where they no longer squeak, but Ken made them silent. Also, I had been told that I needed a new ignition because sometimes I have a hard time starting the car. He let me know that it was actually an air bubble in the gas pump, he fixed it, and I no longer have any problems. He is incredibly knowledgeable. Everything he said about the repairs turned out correct. I love the people at Hayward Auto Care. I have sent so many people to them already because they deserve to have people see how great they are. Ken really cares about your car. If you care about your job you will do the best you can do, and it is obvious that Ken loves his job. Everything he promised he did, and when he told me a price I paid that price. I'm not anyone special, so if they went out of their way for me they will do that for anyone. The service at Hayward Auto Care has been very professional. What I like is that they explain everything that is going to be done to your vehicle. I have been using them for about a year. I initially went there because I was considering selling my car and getting a new one. I have an older car that is getting up there in mileage, but Ken asked me why I would need a new car note when we could just do some maintenance and keep my car. We got my car on a schedule to get all the work done and did it over the course of 6 months. They replaced the timing belt, water pump, and other major and minor services. The quality is outstanding. I have never taken my car back for anything. I have referred several family members to Ken at Hayward Auto Care, and they have all been satisfied. He does dealer quality work without the dealer prices. more

I have been bringing my cars to Hayward Auto Care for a long time. Ken, the owner, is great. I have four cars and Hayward Auto Care does all the maintenance for them. The service is awesome. The main thing, they tell you exactly what the car needs. It's not a situation where they tell you one thing then two or three weeks later they tell you something else. At Hayward Auto Care, they give you accurate estimates. The service is great and the prices are very affordable. Another thing I really like is that if the car has a problem, they tell you right away what is going on. You will definitely get the exact service that you need for your car, and you will get it on time. more

I took my car to Hayward Auto Care for the 100,000-mile service check. The shop was recommended by a friend of mine who has been using them for 8 or 9 years. Their service was complete and it was done on time. Ken was very informative both pre- and post-service. He was more detailed about what he would do than the dealer I had been to. Following the service, he told me exactly what he had done as well as things like how much of my brakes I had left. I fully recommend Ken at Hayward Auto Care because he is down-to-earth, straightforward, and seems to do quality work. more

I have been going to Hayward Auto Care for a while, over 6 years. Initially, my next-door neighbor recommended them. When something goes wrong with my car, I take it to Hayward because Ken is very honest and I trust them with my car. When they have done work in the past, everything has turned out well and the car has not failed. Most recently, the estimate that I got from them was more than I thought it would be, more than AAA told me it would cost.
