We got married in 2008 and wanted to have a baby as soon as possible. But after 8 months of timing my ovulation (and I was ovulating like a clock), we figured out that something was wrong. My husband visited a local urologist and we found out that he has low sperm count. After working with this doctor for another 6 months and spending thousands of dollars, we realized that nothing was happening. But then my doctor advised us to seek fertility help. We were referred to another fertility clinic in San Antonio but their customer care wasn't that good and my husband decided to look for a different clinic. He called all the fertility clinics he could find in San Antonio and Austin since we live in between both cities and he was most satisfied with RMA of Texas. We started working with Dr. Hudson in mid-November, 2009. She and Dr. Arredondo and the whole staff performed a battery of tests on me and my husband. By the end of December we were told that our infertility was due to my husband's low sperm count but the good news was that IVF was an option for us and Dr. Arredondo told us that we have 65% chance of concieving! This gave us a lot of hope! Dr. Arredondo also said that he can see our baby and wants us to believe that we will have a baby. This inspired us! In January and February I was taking lots of pills and giving myself injections. On March 3 was the egg retrieval which was done by Dr. Arredondo. On March 8 Dr. Hudson transferred two embryos in my uterus. On March 19 we found out that we were pregnant! My husband and I couldn't believe that the miracle of life had happened to us! Two weeks later we saw the baby for the first time and heard the heartbeat. It's May 3 now and I am 10 weeks pregnant, almost 11 actually. Our journey with RMA was so pleasant, so efficient, so worth it! For now our journey with RMA of Texas is over. We saw our baby moving and we heard the heartbeat during our last appointment with Dr. Hudson which was just a few days ago! I think she was as happy as we were about seeing and hearing the baby! God willing we shall have the baby in November, 2010. Since we have frozen two embryos we shall do one more embryo transfer in 2011 and hopefully we shall have a baby again. :) So our plans are to return at RMA of TX when we are ready to have the second baby. We keep on talking how efficient, caring, well-prepared the staff of RMA is. They always knew what they were doing. They were always available to answer your questions. When we had a question or a concern and we called after hours, Dr. Arredondo would call us back at 8-9-10 pm and kindly answer all our questions. Chris, our nurse, would always call me back with clarifications on how to give the injections and about my tests, etc. We both felt very well taken care of! My husband and I recommend RMA of Texas to everybody who has a fertility problem and give ourselves as an example - when we first stepped into RMA of Texas - it was just two of us, now we are three! They genuinely care about their patients and it is obvious from the moment you walk in the door. My wife researched many fertility clinics and even was recommended to other fertility clinics, but she felt something special with RMA. Dr. Arrendondo & Dr. Hudson are excellent doctors in their field and we were blessed to have dealt with both doctors throughout our stay with RMA. We are so happy that we have found the RMA of Texas. Dr.Hudson and Dr. Arrendondo are absoultely remarkable. We previously went to another fertility clinic in San Antonio (I won't mention names, let's just say that they are a very well known clinic here in San Antonio and leave it at that) we did not feel welcomed there and often felt like we were a number and not a patient. We never got a chance to see the doctor a lot there either. What a breath of fresh air it was to find RMA. They are a step above any other fertility clinic in San Antonio. If you want adequate service with doctors who care, then you need to be at RMA. I wanted to also include that when I first became a patient at RMA, I sent an online email to Dr. Hudson, and it was at night. Imagine my suprise when I received a response 20 minutes later. Some may not think this is a big deal, however, how many doctors do you know that respond via email after office hours? The entire office at RMA of Texas is exceptional! After dealing with another fertility clinic in San Antonio we were so relieved to find one that was proactive and actually listened to us. Dr. Hudson has the best bed side manner. We have been to lots of Dr.'s and she was the first that listened and actually uncovered some potential reasons behind our miscarriage. We are now 11 weeks pregnant and things are progressing wonderfully this time. We can not say enough positive things about Dr. Hudson and the entire RMA staff. Other clinics seemed so sterile and passive about the emotional upset of loosing a baby and having trouble conceiving, but all of RMA really understands the devastation even though it happens to many it still hurts a lot when it happens to you and RMA and Dr. Hudson get that and are able to help you see your way to a family. The staff at RMA is very professional and courteous. The office hours were early enough for me to get in/get out so I could get to work without being late. I never had an issue getting the time slot I needed for an appt. Dr. Arredondo is very professional with a fantastic bed side manner. He answered all my questions and the very best part - I was able to conceive. Throughout my IVF period, I dealt mostly with Monica, Dr. Arredondo's nurse. She was always there for me when I had questions. She would promptly return my emails and phone calls - she made the whole experience pleasant and easy! Six months later I was pregnant from my 4th IUI! The staff at RMA is warm and friendly. The office is very comforting, not your typical doctor's office. Dr. Arredondo is very caring and personable. Our journey through infertility has been a long one and we have dealt with several fertility clinics over the years. Of the fertility clinics in San Antonio that we have been to, RMA of Texas was head and shoulders above the rest. Finding this clinic was like finding an oasis for us. Here we felt like clients working along with the staff towards our common goal as opposed to patients waiting in a long line. The staff was so likable and personable and always accessible, including Dr. Arredondo, who, he himself was the person to call us back after hours. We saw a dedication to clients that is rare. It took 2 yrs. to get pregnant on our own and then we lost the preganancy to a miscarriage. I began seeing my gynecologist for help and she put me on clomid and I did not get pregnant. She suggested we see a new doctor she new personally in San Antonio for help. For the first visit he came to her office to see us. Immediately I felt that Dr. Arredondo would be able to help us. He put me on clomid with another medicine and I immediately got pregnant, but lost the pregnancy to an ectopic. I then began to see him in San Antonio and went through two IUI's, but they failed. Dr. Arredondo and his staff encouraged us to try IVF and he believed it would work for us. A year later we tried our first cycle and got pregnant right away! I was able to carry the pregnancy to term and I am happy to say my son was born November 29, 2009. He is the answer to our prayers. My Husband and I had been through 3 years of IF and 2 failed IVFs. We felt the Infertility office we had been using was too busy and we were just one of many others. We met with Dr Arredondo and immediately felt at ease with him. He seemed genuinely interested in working with us and gave us the time we needed to discuss our situtation and decide on the best treatment.
