I can't emphasize enough how blessed we are to cross paths with RMA. My husband & I have been trying to have a baby for 4 1/2 years already. After 2 Infertility Specialists & many medications/procedures we were ready to give up. Right when I was going to give up I did a little more research & came across RMA online. I read about them & decided to give them a call. I spoke to someone on the phone for about 30-45 minutes without even being a patient. They were so patient & just wonderful with me. I was so impressed that even the Dr. came on the line to address some of my concerns. I told my husband about my great experience & we decided to give it 1 last shot. UPDATE: Elliana Lily was born February 6 2011. Thank you RMA!!!!! A birth announcement is in the mail headed your way!!! After TTC'ing for over 2 years, with no luck we decided to seek help. At first we visited an ob/gyn who claimed to specialize in fertility. BAD DECISION. A procedure was performed (IUI), so incorrectly, that it almost caused me to lose my uterus. After this horrible experience my husband and I decided to find an actual Fertility Clinic. We live 3 hours away from SA so this wasn't an easy task. We made an appointment at 3 fertility clinics, all on the same day, to interview each one. RMA was our first stop. What a great office. We met directly with Dr. Hudson and I could'nt feel more at ease with her expertise. We left RMA for our second appointment, but left after sitting in the waiting room for over an hour. The third appointment we ended up cancelling. Why? Because we loved RMA so much and knew no other clinic was going to stand up to our already high standard. A month later we did our 1st IUI (2nd all together) with RMA. What a difference from the last one we did at the ob/gyn office. Even the room in which my hubby went to give his sample was beyond expectation!! At the ob/gyn office it was an old supply closet. At RMA they make it as comfortable for the men as they possibly can with dim lighting and lots of "aids". During the IUI I got to watch the sample as it was injected, via internal ultrasound. How amazing to see all those swimmers headed off to do their job. Well, 2 weeks later, after 2 years of negative pregnancy test, loads of TI, fertility meds and a horribly botched 1st IUI, we got our miracle. I am now 16 weeks preggo and I honestly beleive it was RMA who gave us this miracle. Everyone, from the doctors and nurses, to the front desk staff was always super nice. The day we "graduated" from RMA was bitter sweet. I wish they did deliveries as well!!!! Thank you so so much Dr. Hudson and Dr. Arredondo. We will never ever forget what you did for us. more

On our first visit we had a very personal meeting with Dr. A so he could get to know us and our situation. He was very interested in our desires and our concerns. My husband is very cautious of doctors but when we left that appointment he said he felt as if we were in good hands. Boy, was his instinct right. Pros: excellent staff, incredible doctors, flexible schedule Cons: none at all!!!!!! more

We are currently almost 10 weeks pregnant and couldn't be more excited. Going through infertility can be devastating at times and I felt everyone at the RMA team was rooting for our outcome. He offered to refer us to someone in SA , we didn't even ask who and told him we had someone in mind already- Dr. Arrendondo. We knew about him through friends of friends and he came HIGHLY HIGHLY recommended. We figured, why go elsewhere. Since the first visit Dr. A said our case/problem (PCOS)was very clear but that everything would work out. After several cycles of Clomid, to which I didn't respond, we went for the injectables. Dr. A and Dr. Hudson hit the dosage right on. Within a month we were in for an IUI and in a couple of weeks, PREGNANT! With TWINS! We are now 17 weeks into the pregnancy and are having 2 baby boys (we were hoping for twins all along)! During the entire treatment, even though we were driving a couple of hours after work one evening, then an early 7am visit and quick drive back to get back to work- we never lost hope thanks to the wonderful team at RMA. Walking in was always exciting and a breath of fresh air. Also, the weekend appointments were so convenient. Dr. A or Dr. Hudson were always there when we needed to rush in and were flexible in accomodating us since we were traveling. Dr. Arredondo even waited for me to drive the 2 hours, on a Saturday so that he could see me that very day and then personally called my husband, before I even left the office, to give him an update. Treatment and appointments were so personal and we never felt like just another patient. All the staff was well informed when we walked in as to where we were at; and they were all cheerleaders! We, too, were sad to be sent back to our regular OB/GYN. We miss the personal care but are so grateful to have gone through this experience with RMA. I would not take it back, not for a single moment. As RMA was recommended to us, we would not doubt for a second to recommend it to anyone else! It's just the way fertility treatment should be! At first appointment Dr. Arrendondo heard my medical history and pinpointed the problem. I am elated to say that my husband and I are now 9 weeks into our pregnancy, with TWINS. We love the staff at RMA and were sad to leave when we were released to our normal ob. Dr. Arredondo truly had a talented delivered from God. Tony, the embryologist also has a God given talent to help people. The nurses and girls that work up front are always there to help. We love you RMA, and we'll be back when the babies are here. more

The doctor and nursing staff were very helpful, and understanding to my needs. We got married in 2008 and wanted to have a baby as soon as possible. But after 8 months of timing my ovulation (and I was ovulating like a clock), we figured out that something was wrong. My husband visited a local urologist and we found out that he has low sperm count. After working with this doctor for another 6 months and spending thousands of dollars, we realized that nothing was happening. But then my doctor advised us to seek fertility help. We were referred to another fertility clinic in San Antonio but their customer care wasn't that good and my husband decided to look for a different clinic. He called all the fertility clinics he could find in San Antonio and Austin since we live in between both cities and he was most satisfied with RMA of Texas. We started working with Dr. Hudson in mid-November, 2009. She and Dr. Arredondo and the whole staff performed a battery of tests on me and my husband. By the end of December we were told that our infertility was due to my husband's low sperm count but the good news was that IVF was an option for us and Dr. Arredondo told us that we have 65% chance of concieving! This gave us a lot of hope! Dr. Arredondo also said that he can see our baby and wants us to believe that we will have a baby. This inspired us! In January and February I was taking lots of pills and giving myself injections. On March 3 was the egg retrieval which was done by Dr. Arredondo. On March 8 Dr. Hudson transferred two embryos in my uterus. On March 19 we found out that we were pregnant! My husband and I couldn't believe that the miracle of life had happened to us! Two weeks later we saw the baby for the first time and heard the heartbeat. It's May 3 now and I am 10 weeks pregnant, almost 11 actually. Our journey with RMA was so pleasant, so efficient, so worth it! For now our journey with RMA of Texas is over. We saw our baby moving and we heard the heartbeat during our last appointment with Dr. Hudson which was just a few days ago! I think she was as happy as we were about seeing and hearing the baby! God willing we shall have the baby in November, 2010. Since we have frozen two embryos we shall do one more embryo transfer in 2011 and hopefully we shall have a baby again. :) So our plans are to return at RMA of TX when we are ready to have the second baby. We keep on talking how efficient, caring, well-prepared the staff of RMA is. They always knew what they were doing. They were always available to answer your questions. When we had a question or a concern and we called after hours, Dr. Arredondo would call us back at 8-9-10 pm and kindly answer all our questions. Chris, our nurse, would always call me back with clarifications on how to give the injections and about my tests, etc. We both felt very well taken care of! My husband and I recommend RMA of Texas to everybody who has a fertility problem and give ourselves as an example - when we first stepped into RMA of Texas - it was just two of us, now we are three!
