My husband and I are so grateful tothe doctors and staff at RMA. We started our journey in Baton Rouge, LA about two years ago. We had to unsuccessful rounds of IUI's. The second ended in miscarriage @5 weeks.A year later, we moved to San Antonio and immediately started looking for another clinic. We were recommended by my new OBGYN. We were immediately impress with the facility. The staff was so friendly and personable that we didn't feel like we were just another number. At every appointment, we were greeted by our first names. We started our IVF treatment on July 2 with retreival and transfer on July 13th and 18th. On July 29th we had our positive pregancy test. At our five weeks scan, we found out that we were having twins. Unfortunately, at 6 weeks scan, we only had one heartbeat. But we are still greatful for one healthy little one.Right now, I'm 9 weeks pregnant and couldn't be happier. I really would like to thank the doctors and staff for helping my husband and I dreams of starting a family come true. I look forward to returning in the future for the two embryos that we had frozen. more

My husband and I were so happy to find RMA of TX. I am now in my 3rd trimester with twin girls and can't thank RMA enough! We started our infertility journey in Chicago in March 2010. I researched A LOT to find the best place to go. We selected a very respected top-notch hospital in Chicago for our treatment and at the time we were very happy with the treatment plan. Unfortunately, we were unsuccessful after 2 IUIs and 2 IVFs. The second IVF ended in a miscarriage at 6 weeks. We then moved to the San Antonio area. We took a few months off our treatment, and in the meantime I researched facilities in the SA area. I was immediately impressed with the reviews of RMA and took their open house tour. We were VERY IMPRESSED. We immediately started to compare them with the Chicago facility and I just couldn't stop talking about how much better it was. We started our treatment in January 2011 and were pregnant after our first IVF in March. They did not make us redo tests that we had already completed at our other facility. We met with Dr. Arredondo and reviewed our previous plan and explained what worked and what didn't and tweaked it for us. It WORKED! Here is a comparison list of RMA and my previous facility in Chicago: Initial Dr. Consultation: Other place - met with Dr. and went over high-level plans for treatment (i.e. IUIs and IVFs) nothing specific. He was very matter of fact and clinical not very personable. RMA - met with Dr. Arrendondo went over high-level and details of the treatment. He explained exactly what would work for us and why. He was very scientific and talked to us at level that tailored for us (I'm an MIT grad) and was very personable. My husband and I were immediately impressed! Shots Class: Other place - it was group atmosphere. We met with a nurse (with 5 other couples) to go over how to administer shots and then we were kind of shuttled from blood draw to nurses for the rest of the time. That is when we received our treatment plan from a nurse. RMA - it was very tailored one-on-one session with our nurse. We received our treatment plan but there no shuttling and it was a very pleasant experience. Regular Sonograms: Other place - We were given the same window of time as everyone else every day to arrive for our blood draw and sonogram. Every morning it waited in line before the doors opened just to get my paperwork (which may or may not be there) and then to get a number for the blooddraw line and and different number for the sonogram line. The sonograms were conducted by a sonographer who was not allowed to show or discuss what she saw. I had to wait until a nurse called later in the day. RMA - Had an appt time each morning. If I had to wait it was a in a nice waiting room. Our Drs. and nurse conducted the sonogram EVERY time and we both got to see everything and they explained right then and there. We met with a nurse afterwards to discuss any treatment changes. Retrieval & Transfer: Other place - they were conducted by whichever Dr. was on call (which was never our Dr.) So a different Dr. we never met before conducted our R&T each time. The prep & recovery room was fine but with no amenities. My husband had to wait in the waiting room the whole time. RMA - conducted by our Drs. every time. The prep & recovery room was wonderful each patient had their own TV and my husband could sit with me in his own leather recliner and his own TV the whole time. He also had his own viewing room to watch the procedure via TV. Dr. interaction: Other place: other than the initial consultation we never met with our Dr. again and the only time we even talked to him was over the phone when there were major results such as retrieval results and if the treatment was unsuccessful. RMA: we met with our Drs. every time we went! And they were very personable every time. I could go on-and-on. I LOVED my care at RMA and it was SUCCESSFUL! more

I can not say enough wonderful things about the staff and doctors at RMA of Texas!!! My husband and I first visited them in 2008. After visiting another fertility dr in San Antonio, I was told I need to have surgery to remove a polyp from my uterus. I wanted a second opinion and after Dr. Arredondo reviewed my scans, he said I had an air bubble NOT a polyp and didn't need surgery!!! Another test confirmed his findings so ultimately he saved me from needless surgery!!! After that, we moved on to a clomid/iui cycle and got pregnant the very first month! We now have a 2 yr old thanks to RMA. In early 2011, we began trying again for a second child. We went straight to RMA. This time we went through mulitple failed cycles before moving on to ivf. Throughout the entire process, the staf f and doctors were there to answer our questions, ease our concerns, and ultimately give us hope. Literally, I've cried tears of joy and sadness at their office, and every time the staff was there to either ease our sadness or celebrate our successes! After our first IVF attempt, I am now 9 weeks pregnant. I am actually a pharmaceutical rep and have called on hundreds of doctors professionally over the years. I can honestly say, I've never encountered a more organized, professional, or loving group of nurses, doctors, and staff than RMA of Texas. They are truly in a league of their own and it is obvious how much they care about their patients. I would recommend them to anyone without hesitation. more

I was referred to RMA and my husband and I were very happy with the results! After one cycle of IVF we are now 8 weeks pregnant! While we were dissappointed with the time it took (almost a year of tests, etc) obviously we were happy in the end! The doctors and nurses were very nice and always returned my many calls with answers to my questions. One of the only reasons I give them a ""very good"" review instead of a ""run don't walk"" was because every time my pharmacy called them for a refill the nurse never got back to them. I always had to call and ask them to call the pharmacy back. I didn't think I should have had to do that. But overall, I would refer them to a friend and we thank them for all they did for us! more

My wife and I originally traveled to a well known clinic in Dallas based on their reputation and statistics. After our initial meeting with the doctor, we felt disappointed. That clinic just lacked certain characteristics we hoped to find. We began looked in to clinics in the San Antonio area and we decided to give RMA a try. I wish we would have never wasted our time in Dallas. From the very beginning RMA set itself apart as a clinic that truly cared about our needs. Every single person that we interacted with at RMA was friendly, courteous, and helpful. The receptionists were helpful, and would find out the answers to our questions promptly and always returned our calls the same day. I never once felt as though we were inconveniencing them. Dr. Arredondo and Dr. Hudson are top notch. We dealt with each doctor, and I have zero complaints with both. Dr. Arredondo is clearly talented and knows what he is doing. The same can be said for Dr. Hudson. She clearly has experience and talent. Both very kind and caring. They make the perfect team. I am not the type of person that writes reviews. I am not writing this review to recommend a clinic. I am writing this review to BEG you to go to RMA. You will not be disappointed. My wife is currently 11 weeks pregnant, and we could not have dreamed up a more pleasant experience. more

My story is some what different, and some what a challenge. When I first went to RMA because I was dissatisfied with the clinic I was using, I was full of hopes because of all the positive reviews I read. My first meeting with Dr. Arredondo was very promising as he told me that if I do this and that, I will have about 60% chance of conceiving. I went by his recommendations, unfortunately, the outcome wasn't so fruitful. Tried again a second time, the result was even more disheartening as none of the embryos retrieved was matured, and the procedure was terminated at that time. All the explanation i got was that it was because of my age. Meanwhile, i know i have older friends that are still conceiving, and having healthy children. That got me very depressed. After I recovered from the who,e ordeal, we decided to try again. At this time, Dr. Arredondo was less than optimistic about the potential outcome, giving me less than 10% chance of getting a fertilized embryo, and even less chance of the embryo implanting. However, I refused to be dissuaded, and told him that miracles still happen, and I do believe in them. He made note of our conversation, and his warnings, and recommendations. When I left his office that day, I went down on my knees and started praying to God for miracle. I told God to prove the doctor wrong, and let him know that he (GOD) has the final say. I started reading my bible, and confessing all God's promises, while also fasting at the same time. I made a convenient to God that if he answer my prayer, I will testify of his goodness. Long story short, I am now pregnant from that procedure, and I give God all the glory. The whole staff of RMA TX including Dr. Hudson were all caring, loving, warm, and professional; and I pray that God continue to use them to fulfill parental dreams. My little girl has been begging me for a brother or sister. She still does not know even though she has been with me for ultrasounds, but did not understand. She will be thrilled when we finally tell her. Once again, I give all glory to God Almighty for our wonderful miracle, and I thank the entire staff of RMATX for the good job they do. more

I did not have a good expierence with RMA, imparticular the nurses. They pretend to care, and when a transfer does not result as we hope, they give you an appology (with absolutely no warmth), and thats it. As I read all the reviews, it seems like all the positive reviews resulted in pregnancy. What about us who did not end up with a baby and just a cold shoulder. I am not bitter about the fact that the transfer was unsuccessfull, I'm bitter of the fact that it seemed like "just another transfer", pay me, do you want to try again, pay me, etc... I would recomend RMA to someone who is prepared to take a negative result like a common conversation. To everyone who had a positive result, congradulations and I'm glad you did not expierence robotic behavior as we did. more
