Awesome service 1/3/2019

The awesomeness started with my call for service. I informed the scheduler of my issue, she quoted my a service call charge and gave me a time window for my appointment. I was satisfied with the interaction, she was pleasant and efficient. Shortly after we hung up, the scheduler called me back to apologize that she misquoted the service charge and the correct price was less!! I couldn’t believe it. No one would ever call back to say it was going to be less. The rest of my experience with GoldStar Service was just a great. The technician came during the quoted time window and promptly resolved our issue. I would definitely call GoldStar again should I have any drain/sewer needs. Definitely Gold Star material!! Thank you all! more

Unnecessarily overcharged 12/28/2018

Good service. But Gouged on the price. Had an emergency simple repair to my kitchen sink unit. Part that was replaced cost about $200. Allowing for installation charge at 100% that still brings me to $400 for the part. Got charged $1152. That's almost $800 for 2 hours labor. I am willing to pay for good service. But that includes ‘membership fees’. Forced to pay this fees. more

After realizing we Had a leaky pipe, I called Gold Star. Within a couple hours they were in my home repairing the pipe. The service man explained what needed to be done and then started the job. 12/2/2018

Having the leaky pipe needed to be repaired to prevent it from bursting and having a flood. Gold Star was here sooner than I thought they would be here doing the job. The price was a little more than we thought but because of it being a weekend and the timely fashion they came and did the job was worth it! They knew exactly what they had to do...thank you Gold Star, S.K. more

The plumber who came to my home was very knowledgeable and repaired the valve quickly and correctly. 11/22/2018

The plumber who visited my home was knowledgeable, polite, and efficient. However, I was very disappointed with the cost to repair a single valve for an irrigation system. I have had other competent plumbers repair problems in my home successfully and at a lower cost. I appreciated the inspection of the natural gas boiler system, but again was uncomfortable with the charges. The repair was completed successfully, but I'm not sure that the service contract offered will be helpful. more

Absurdly Expensive 11/10/2018

I know the usual response from your office regarding complaints will be the high cost of skillful technicians, but my bill was completely out of line. Your technician was in my home ( this past week ) for about an hour, used less than 30 dollars of materials and charged me more than 1200 dollars! My recommendation on future work.....find another plumber! Your services are far too rich for the average homeowner! more

Had an emergency simple repair to my heating unit. Part that was replaced cost $135. Allowing for a stocking charge at 100% that still brings me to $270 for the part. Got charged $1036 + tax. That's almost $800 for 2 hours labor. I am willing to pay for good service but this was way over to top. If I had time to shop or question the price, I wouldn't need to write this review. i would not use these guys again. more
