Exceptional service! 6/21/2012

Due to aging Seattle sewer lines, I've had a couple of experiences working with Gene J. Plumbing. With each service I have had clear, full explanations, been presented with options, and then had superb service in terms of work done and clean-up afterwards. Woody is a star! more

The technician showed up on time. Did the work as estimated, however, no breakdown provided for the services proposed. Plumber stated that it will take two to three hours, yet it only took him less than an hour. Somewhat overpriced. If breakdown was provided I would have given you five stars. more

Excellent job 5/19/2012

We had a portion of our sewer line replaced last winter and I'm so glad we went with Gene Johnson. Dennis came out to assess the job and provide options. Because he was so knowledgeable and flexible we were able to work out a solution in our price range. Woody came out to do the work and he was also great. He was prompt, a hard worker and a good communicator. The guys ended up digging the 8 foot hole by hand to save some of our landscaping. Yikes. That was a big hole. Throughout the job the dirt was kept in a neat pile, the hole was covered, the area was clean etc. The day I was not at home Woody left me a message about how things went, when he would be back the next day etc. The attention to detail and professional attitude was really appreciated. more

Woody did an excellent job! 5/17/2012

This afternoon Woody came to our home to repair our bathroom drain which had continually backed up. Other plumbers came and snaked and scoped the pipes but had found no blockage. Woody gave me a few theories about what the problem could be and he was exactly right! I would recommend Woody to anyone, my experience was one of excellent customer service and educational. Thank you Gene Johnson for such quality employees! more

The work got done. 4/25/2012

We have used Gene Johnson Plumbing & Heating in the past when we were landlords and they've always done good by us. We are no longer landlords but we called them to re-seat a toilet in our home. My husband couldn't understand the guy that came because he had a Spanish accent but he let him into the house to do the work. When i came home from work, the work was excellent and done in very short time. They wanted $700 from us and they were only there for a couple of hours and I refused to pay that. I cut him a check for $400 which is more than reasonable in my opinion. I would never go back to Gene Johnson ever again. I would recommend them only if it was an emergency and suggest that they read over all the paperwork very carefully before agreeing to anything with them. more

Gene Johnson Plumbing & Heating helped to cut back a steel pipe that was in the way of the old irrigation pipe. It was getting in the way of what we were doing in my home. I am very satisfied with the work that they did. When I called for the first time the customer agent on the phone was very thorough. The plumber came on time. A received a follow up phone call after the job was completed. I received coupons for the next time I need a plumber. Overall, it was a really good experience. more

Courteous and professional, but the price is a sticking point. 4/5/2012

I've had Gene Johnson Plumbing & Heating twice do jobs for me. Now the service and the jobs, they've done that well both times. But the first time I was really hesitant to pay what they asked for the less than an hour it took to get my drain unplugged. My most recent work on the boiler in my water heating system was more in line price-wise with what was performed. The drain cleaning burned my britches, as they say, but I'd say they're good folks overall. more

There to help you, easy to work with 3/22/2012

We have been using Gene Johnson Plumbing and Heating for many years. They are in the neighborhood, and we like to use local people and businesses. They are a great business because they arrive when they say they are going to arrive, or call ahead so there isn't a huge window of waiting. If there is an easier way to deal with something they will find it-for example we though we had a leak so we had them come out and look at it and he said to not break through the wall but to try a simpler task first and we ended up not having a leak and saving a ton of money. They are really there to help you. saved us money. more

Dennis and his technician Woody are great to work with. They are very professional and competent. We had a rather complicated problem with the side sewer repair, but they were consistent in getting the problem solved. I also really appreciate Christine in the office who is always very helpful and friendly. more

Excellent 3/7/2012

I needed some help for a leaking tub handle and I called Gene Johnson Plumbing. The first person I talked to was very polite and told me she could get a technician to my house in an hour. Woody (the technician) arrived within the hour and did a great job. He was professional and polite. He was able to interpet home owner speak for plumber reality. Woody, thanks again for your help and patience. I would call Gene Johnson Plumbing for my next plumbing problem. more

On time and courteous, but high priced. 2/24/2012

Gene Johnson Plumbing & Heating was very expensive in my opinion. They had to come back again afterwards to fix a leak that occurred after they left. At one point, I questioned if they were going to replace a specific part and one employee said yes, while another just put it back together, which ended up causing the leak afterwards. They were only here for an hour but charged the same price regardless of whether they were here for 30 minutes or 4 hours, which I don't believe in. I felt like they worked for an hour and took off with the money for the rest of the time. more

I liked both of the workers with Gene Johnson Plumbing & Heating. They were very nice, professional, and efficient. I have had this issue that other companies have never truely been able to fix, but they were able to. The price seemed a little high but they saved me a lot of time and fixed the issue. more
