Geena is great! I had ""crazy"" hair, very kinky and thick and was wanting to have a Japanese Thermal Straightening. Geena discussed thoroughly with me the details of the service and educated me about my hair and its needs. We spent a very long time together and it flew by, thanks to her expertise and conversation. After my straightening I was very pleased with the results. My hair is much softer now as well. I went back four days later for a cut and was happy with that also. I've been going to Geena for the past 5 months and she's done my thermal hair straightening twice. Both the times I've been extremely satisfied. The second time I went for straightening, it didn't come out so great when she did it (I've real godawful hair that's soo stubborn) - she felt so bad about it, she asked me to come back again in 3 days and she re did the entire process for me - at NO extra charge! I've had my hair thermally reconditioned before, but unfortunately, I was never educated about my hair and have dealt with unruly, dry, and frizzy hair forever. Geena did a great job of evaluating the current condition of my hair and providing an upfront recommendation about what I really needed to do to take care of it if I was going to move forward with a thermal reconditioning. The process was a lot quicker than it used to be (3 hours vs the 8 that I had spent at Juno's). I think because the treatment solution has been improved. The results were great! I was so happy I came back to Geena on Wednesday for a color. Even with all the treatment to my hair, my hair is feeling softer than before. I had severely damaged split ends as a result and I found Geena on Citysearch. I couldn't find a negative review and decided to see Geena. Geena was very cordial and personable. So, I was able to trust her with my hair. She recommended some products for me to use to make my hair healthier. I followed her suggestions and five weeks later, I had the service done. On top of that, she gave me awesome layers to get rid of my terrible ends. To this day, my hair looks phenomenal. I have been getting my hair done by Geena for almost four years now. She is a master at Japanese Thermal Straightening, and I highly recommend her to anyone unhappy with their curly locks. I never thought I could have long, shiny and straight hair until I met Geena. Of course I did my homework by reading about Japanese Thermal Straightening before I went to see her. And, oh boy, am I lucky or what that I met her. Because there are so many horror stories about other hair stylists. I just had my baby when I went to see Geena for the first time about a year ago. I thought that this treatment would help me to take a better care of my hair as I didn't have much time left for myself with the little one in the house. But never in a millions of years I could imagine my hair transform from freezy, wavy, thick and hard to manage into silky, shiny and pleasant to touch tresses. She completed the Japanese thermal hair straightening process, demi hair coloring, and a haircut during the appointment. I was very pleased with the overall experience and look at the end of the day. I didn't receive just a haircut, but learned how to maintain healthy hair and treat it better (""like princess hair""). Geena is wonderful! This was my first experience with Japanese thermal straigtening. Geena met with me a week before the service and did a free consult where she asked very thorough questions about my hair's history and answered all of my questions about the service. She is very knowledgable, professional, and really fun to talk to, as well. She told me everything about what to expect for the service and there were absolutely no surprises. I had very thick, damaged, curly red hair and after the service it is healthy, shiny and totally straight. I used to have to blowdry and flat iron for over an hour to get my hair straight, now it is wash-and-go beautiful. I've tried many hair stylists and have had unsatisfactory results with my thick, wavy, Asian hair. But Geena always does a great job and knows just how to handle it.
