Fox Plumbing is once again a great company to call. The technicians are pleasant and knowledgeable, and in this case, Adrian took care of replacing a leaking Hot water dispenser without any wasted time. Plumbing repair is always more expensive than you think it should be. If you accept that premise, then Fox is just fine. I hate to sound like the others, but Mike and Tony and Scott ( in training) were sent to my house in Kent because the very old sewer line was backing up. These concrete lines were installed in the early 1930's and really should all be replaced in the next few years. The place this one backed up was in my neighbor's driveway. This 180 foot long side sewer was put in many years before his house was built so it goes under his drive and yard to get to the street about 75 vertical feet below us. Mike and Tony found a clean out and ran the video camera down to the break in the line. They then put a ""blaster"" in and it made its way through the mess and flushed it all down (including some roots) into the city's main line. They came back the next day and cut through the neighbor's driveway to the break and repaired it. They installed a cleanout right there (out of the way of vehicles) and replaced the concrete with new. They also conducted a very thorough inspection of all my plumbing whlie at it. The cost was high but not unreasonable for this service. It was much less than a competitor estimated. more

It's hard to call on a plumber to come out when you know the cost is always expensive! Unfortunately, we were out of choices when our sewer lines backed up in our (older) home. I had two really good past experiences with Fox Plumbing and Heating, so when I called for help, I expected the best again. I was certainly not disappointed! First, the dispatcher went a long way to assure we had a plumber at our house before six pm, when the rates went up. Since she had to do some fast work on that problem, we really appreciated her help! Pros: I felt very comfortable with all these guys in my home! Great work and very experienced. more

I have had a slow leak in my ceiling for almost a year, and no plumbers (who were all rated highly) could find the leak. They even opened up my ceiling with no luck. So, almost $1000 later I gave up--then someone recommended Fox and they found the problem and fixed it in less than two hours!! Pros: Everything was perfect. Cons: None!! more

We had a very good first experience with Fox a few months back, so we didn't hesitate to call them again to get gas piped in for our new range. Adrian was our technician this time and he was prompt, curteous, knowledgeable & efficient. He quickly assessed the job, made a short trip (really!) to get parts and was back and done with the job in a very reasonable amount of time. He had to shut off the gas to our water heater and fireplace stove, and while he was crawling around in the space where our water heater was he took note of the set up there and shared with me how it will be very easily upgraded to a tankless system whenever the current tank breaks down. He told us how 2009 has a tax break for going green and making such a change, and how PSE also has a rebate for making the upgrade. We will most likely wait to upgrade, but it's helpful to hear of the savings we could enjoy now and the benefits of upgrading from our current water heater to the tankless system. On a personal note, Adrian was very low-key (in a good way), friendly and accommodating to my big dogs (he has 2 dogs), and I'd trust him completely in my home. I felt the same about the guys who came to do our last job too, so I want to commend Adrian, Fox and all their employees for providing top notch customer service. I will continue to call Fox for all our plumbing and heating work. Pros: Best customer service of any plumber I've ever used more

They were able to show up quickly and complete the job on the same day. Most impressively they were able to comunicate with thier office for technical assistance for information about the property. This was critical in taking the appropriate corse of action, narrowing the options to the one plan that would work. The only thing that was a problem was some of the pipe refitting was not done to the requested specifications. This may have been a misscommunication problem on my part, as to what I was looking for. A week later I noticed a small leak and they sent some one to fix it immediatly at no charge to fix it. They really stand behind thier work, which is rare these days. I highly recomend them. We received estimates from 4 different plumbing companies regarding problems with our sewer line and chose to go with Fox Plumbing because they seemed competent and candid in the work that needed to be done. The quote was reasonable and they did not try to charge us unnecessarily. When they actually opened the ground up, they found the root of our problem was due to installation of a gas line. They promptly advised us to call the gas co. that installed the line. When the gas co. showed up, they admitted liability and apologized for the problem. Fox then fixed the problem at no cost to us. From the begininng, the people we dealt with at Fox Plumbing surpassed our expectations. So, thank you Doug, Mike and Jose for a job very well done!!!! This was the second time I have used Fox plumbing. We receieved a phone call in the morning, on the day of the service and was actually able to get the tech to our home, earlier then promised, which was a plus. The tech, Heath, was professional and courteous. Not only did he install the new toilet, and remove the old one, he also checked our house water pressure, which thankfully was in range, and pointed out that our hot water heater, and hoses on our washer, were due to be replaced. He did all this in a non-threatening manner, I did not feel obligated nor pressured to purchase anything. I appreciated that he left no mess for me to clean up Pros: professional, above & beyond Cons: none that I could tell more

I was having problems with my plumbing and when I got a call from Fox plumbing that they would be out to my house the same day i just thought that i would not happen. With in 45 minutes Carl drove up ready to work and just was so helpful with telling me what went wrong and how to avoid future problems that i was glad that he was sent over to fix my plumbing needs. Carl also explained the uses of over the counter products that really don't fix the situation but create more of a plumbing problem that anything was helpful information for me to have. I would recommend Fox plumbing to any one who has a problem and i request Carl for his professional customer service that i was given. Thank you Fox plumbing and Thank you Carl. We recently had Fox Plumbing out to replace a leaky Insta-Hot undersink unit and corresponding faucet. The plumbers arrived quicker than promised, were friendly and competent, completed the task quickly and efficiently, and generally made what is never a pleasant situation as pain free as possible. The unit has worked flawlessly since, and I strongly recommend this company. more

I newly remodeled my kitchen and fox came out to install the faucet and dishwasher. I had put in a slab of granite for the countertop. Granite will absorb oils so you are not supposed to put plumber's putty on it. Fox's plumber packed the faceplate of the faucet with plumber's putty and put it on the granite. A week later I noticed a stain around the faucet. At first I thought it was water but as the days went by I noticed it was growing. Turned out the oil from the putty was spreading through the granite. It was ruined. Soooo...the plumber comes back out to remove the faucet. BUT he did not correctly turn off the water under the sink. This was right before Thanksgiving. By Sunday, I noticed my NEW oak flooring in front of the sink was warping. The plumber had not completely turned off the water and it had leaked under the cabinet and gone under the flooring. The floor had to be torn out. Overall my experience with FOX has been a nightmare. more

As a new homeowner unfamiliar with Seattle plumbers, I opened up the old phone book when I ran into a kitchen sink drain leak. I got one of the big names in plumbing out (I won't mention their name, but S.W.P may be their initials), and though they did a good job, I felt like I was overcharged ($800 for a new sink trap?) A few months later when I had a bathroom sink leak, I did some research and came across Fox Plumbing. They charged by time and materials, which was very different (and ultimately much less expensive) than the expensive ""book price"" of the previous plumber I used. Moreover, the plumber who came out, Jason, was fast, friendly, professional and his repair was excellent. The dispatcher with whom I set up the appointment was also quite nice. Fox will definitely be my first call in the future . . . though, knock on wood, I hope I won't need to be calling a plumber again anytime soon. Pros: friendly staff, nice billing model, professional work Cons: calling for a plumber is rarely expected or pleasant, but fox minimizes the frustration more
