Fabulous ""Fish"" 11/10/2002

I've never been disappointed with the Fish - It's always a great experience. I usually sit at the bar for apps and drinks and I'm always impressed with the knowledgable and professional staff and honestly, Chris Keff really knows what she's doing. I've seen her watching and taking pride in her food go out. Most chefs aren't as hand on. Pros: food, wine/drinks, ambience Cons: busy, pricey, parking more

Best Meal In Seattle 11/7/2002

We happened upon Flying Fish by chance and what a great discovery, especially being new to Seattle. I've tried several restaurants from Wild Ginger to Palomino with disappointment. The meal here was PERFECTION. You have to be a true diner to enjoy, not for the Cheesecake Factory crowd. The portions are perfect to allow you to enjoy a great starter, soup, entree and finally some of the best desserts ever. I highly recommed an entree with the Japanese Satsumi potatoes.....WOW. Oh, and our waiter was EXCELLENT. A perfect meal and a perfect night. Pros: Unique flavors, Great atmosphere, Friendly service Cons: Parking, A little pricey more

Atmosphere is fun, lots of people watching. I just get the feeling this place is on the sunset of its time, not the horizon. more

Regettable service, unbecoming attitude. 10/4/2002

I visited here for the first time with my wife and two out of town guests. The surroundings were pleasant enough , but the service was simply aweful. Our waiter was impatient and presumptious. I assume because I cary a heavy European accent and my wife and friends are Japanese, he assumed we did not know how to behave in an American restaurant, He was eager to give us a lesson on how to tip. But in His case, for what! We will not return. more

I go to the flying fish at least a few times a year. I can always depend on excellent service, sensational food and a fun environment. With a lovely selection of wines to compliment my meal perfectly, I always make sure I save room for some of the best desserts in town. Don't let this restaraunt pass you by. Pros: warm, sensual, friendly Cons: parking, noisy more
