Editorial review from Citysearch 2/9/2014

I gave them a woofer from a JBL speaker to be reconed. When I got it back, the cement around the dustcap looked like a 5 year old had applied it. When I questioned the tech, he replied with : ""You're gonna cover it with the speaker grille"". Yeah. That will really help if I were to sell my speakers on an online auction site.\r \r To top it off, they affixed their sticker on my woofer (As if I would bring it back to them the next time) LOL!!! more

These guys were great in repairing our Pioneer plasma TV in our home. The office phone was usually busy, but he repairman was great - we?re very satisfied with Engineering Industries and would recommend them to anyone in need of electronics repair services. more

Great Small Business! 3/15/2011

Engineering Industries was great when I had to have my Samsung LED TV repaired. They repaired it right at my business quickly and only 1 day after I initially called about the warranty. Anthony and Al were great and I had no problems. more

Professional? Not What I'd Expect 10/15/2009

I've dealt with these guys at Engineering Industries since they were over by the parkway in a very small shop. The did not do great work then on my Kenwood and Teac components. I got tired of them, excuses and hard to get in touch with so I fixed the units myself. Now because of a warranty I'm thrust back into their world. Not much has changed but the location and size of the shop. I call them, they're closed or I don't get a recording and when I get through I get the impression I""m bothering them. I want my product repaired ASAP and want to know the status weekly. They don't provide a good relation with customers. They have had my TV for over two months now. I don't have a clue as to their intentions, ability to fix it or if they really know what is wrong. I was told they ordered parts. Well the parts keep getting ordered and the TV is not getting repaired. I do not want to wait six months to a year, who would? This experience is Deja Vu and I don't feel good about the TV working properly when its finally repaired. This has not been a good experience and they have me hoping they can't fix it so I'll get a new comparable TV out of it. Good Luck dealing with them, they'll call you when its done, in a year. Oh sure the easy jobs are in and out? Just be cautious. Pros: Convenient Location Cons: Can't get call backs or up to date info, slow turnaround. more

Greate Service, great work, no complaints! 5/7/2008

Unlike some of these other people I had a great experience with these guys. One review here is complaining that the TV is gone for 4 months because they can't get the part...that isn't their problem. It also isn't their problem if it isn't the TV manufacturer's policy to replace if the part is backorderd. More like its a problem with where you bought it. Pros: Knowledgable staff, freindly and helpful. more

These guys are ""the pits"" 12/21/2007

If you purchase a TV which requires warrantee service from these individuals, you are in trouble. They are only open 4 days a week. When they are open they usually keep their phone off the hook. When you reach them they get become rude and unhelpful if the conversation lasts for more than a few seconds. I was told that they hate to do warrantee work for Samsung because Samsung pays so poorly. They seem to be trying to punish customers for this situation. Each time I called to try to find out the progress of their repairs, I got a different story. If you have the misfortune of having your pricey new flat screen.self destruct on you, look for help elsewhere. If you are asked for repair advice by someone you truely detest, give them the number for Engineering Industries and tell them to ask for ""Al"". Cons: miserable human beings more

Prompt and professional 12/10/2007

Very responsive and worked well with me to remedy the situation with a 2 year old 73"" HD Mitz that had a bad light engine. Informed me of a 2 week BO and that allowed me to call Mitsubishi to complain and get the part shipped right away. EI made an appointment based on the projected delivery by UPS and repaired the TV in short order. Al very easy to deal with and Tony the repairman was not only personable but extremely competent (he only had 1 screw leftover- just kidding). Would certainly use them again. Back orders are not the repair cos. fault- call the manufacturer!! Pros: prompt, professional more

Terrible Customer service. 9/17/2007

We are also having problems with Engineering Industries. They have had our TV for almost four months. It is under full warrianty. They keep saying they can't get the part from Samsung. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Buera tonight. I bought the TV at Best Buy. None of the three company's can help me. I understand from another repair place that they are supossed to replace the product if it can't be fixed in 30 days. All I want is my TV back. I will never deal with this company again. Cons: Never return calls more

Terrible customer treatment 1/25/2006

After the treatment I received by Engineering Industries I feel compelled to share my infuriating experience. In trying to schedule an in-home warranty service repair, I was treated rudely and never given the confirmation calls I was promised. The man I spoke to denied that my product was eligible for service, despite my citation of the warranty. The product manufacturer then called him to verify that my product was eligible, and when I called to confirm my appointment, the man at Engineering Industries refused to perform the repair, raised his voice with me, accused me of pestering him (though I had called only three times over the course of 11 days), and told me that my television set was ""not his problem"" so he didn't care. I've never encountered such discourteous, disrespectful service, and would never employ Engineering Industries for any need, no matter how dire. Cons: customer service more
