I liked the convenience of Empire Rent A Car, as well as the affordability and their hours. However, there are a couple of things they need to improve. The last car I rented was dirty on the inside. It wasn't something that could be taken care of with a basic cleaning: the seats were horrible, and it needed to be detailed. There also needs to be more communication between the home office that books the reservations and the office where you actually pick up the car. I was told by the home office that due to the time frame of the rental, I would get an extra day free of charge. When I went to return the car, they hadn't heard about it, and wanted to charge me for the extra day. The receptionist there was extremely rude and unpleasant, and accused me of lying. Everyone else on the staff was very friendly, but this person needs to take a customer service course. In the end, the booking office confirmed what they had said, and I was not charged for the extra day.
