I had a very unusual situation. Me and my wife are from Germany, she is 8 months pregnant and not able to travel to much by public transportation. So we are in desperate need of a rental car. Our big problem in this case was that we only had the money in cash because in Germany everyone uses cash most of the time. Nether me or my wife are are a holder of a credit card, just because it's not really necessary in Germany. We didn't know that no one accepts cash here in the us. I spend almost 2 days calling and going to car rental places to ask if they could help us out, especially because of my wife situation. But no one wanted to rent us a car. We really had almost giving up hope, then we called Empire ( rent a car ). I spoke to very nice lady by the name of Gloria, who really listened to us and understood our desperate situation. She told us that the normally don't do that but in our case because of the situation she was able to make and exception for us. That really saved our vacation. We got a wonderful car and we will always remember the good service and cindeness that was given to us. We will always rent a car from Empire if where ever back in the area. You have nice cars a excellent service and a employe like Gloria who really showed us a great deal of understanding and trust. Thank you so much Gloria. more

I rented a car from Empire last week w/ a 6 day rental package the service was was prompt and courteous and the car was in great condition, I ended up needing the car for an extra day so I called in and extended my contract which the money was taken out of my deductible, due to traffic in the city I was unable to bring the car back in time (the office was closed) which lead me to holding the car for an extra day :-( I went the next day to return the car and owed a balance of $200.00 when explaining the situation to Gloria she helped me out a lot n reduced my fees to $67.41 def appreciated the kind gesture and will definitely refer this company to friends and family! :-) more
