Did not get the value I expected from this inspection. Additionally, was nickel-and-dimed during re-inspection. Would not reccomend this inpsect to family or friends. Similar...

Very detailed and experienced 5/19/2017

A good friend of ours is a realtor and she recommended we call Dan. We called a few places but non could fit us in their schedules for at least a week. We called Dan and got an appt w/in days of calling. He was early, introduced himself, explained what he was going to do and went straight to work. He talked us through everything he was doing and explained to us in detail when he found a major repair. When everything was done he explained again what was going to happen next. We got the report a few days later and it was very detailed. He put in recommendations for some repairs. We were dreading this process but Dan really made us feel better by explaining everything to us. We asked a lot of questions. I would recommend Dan to anybody buying a home. He is very professional, very detailed, very experienced and doesn't try to sell you on anything. more

Dan and Muriel are an outstanding team, who made our home inspection process painless and fun. Dan has extensive knowledge of home inspections and pointed out so many things we would never have considered on our own. He also provided an extensive list of maintenance schedules and suggestions for service providers for us to use in the future. My husband and I felt that Emerald Home Inspection are fantastic to work with, and we plan on using them for all of our regular home inspections in the future. Thank you so much for a job well done! more

So detailed and thorough 5/7/2017

Dan is so knowledgable in what he does. With his help we learned a lot about our new home and the amount of work needed to fix it. He went into the smallest detail and inspected every nook and cranny of our home. Lucky he informed us of every detail of work needed before we closed on the house which in return helped us get a better deal on the home. Even now through the renovation when we have any questions he is able to educate and provide helpful information. Definitely will continue working with him and recommend him to anyone needing a home inspection! more

Received great service each time I have used them. 3/22/2017

I have used Dan twice now for properties that we were buying and received great service each time. I would use them again and recommend them to anyone needing a home inspection. Dan provided an amazing walk through of each property pointing out the items that he had found, both good and bad. This was followed with a very thorough written inspection documenting everything that we discussed along with pictures. Dan gave me and my family great piece of mind when purchasing these properties. Purchasing an older home, we really wanted to make sure we got the best inspector possible - and we did! Dan is a human encyclopedia. He has a skill set above and beyond most inspectors due to all the years he spent building before he turned to inspecting. Also, while many inspectors pay a fee and attend a short course to get their "certification", Dan is actually a member of the American Society of Home Inspectors. He was patient and thorough when explaining things to us, and helped us prioritize the big issues (as well as giving us a few tips for easy fixes for the smaller ones). His wife, Muriel, was so warm and helpful when we called to ask questions. We now feel confident about what we're going into, and it's all thanks to Emerald Inspection. more

Very thorough and helpful inspection report, complete with maintenance tips 1/17/2017

Dan inspected our new residence and found more than three important issues to discuss with the seller before closing. His detailed descriptions, photos and tips helped us negotiate a fair price on the property, and to understand the maintenance needs we would need to schedule. So many times, when you purchase a new property, you really don't get the benefit of user manuals for things like the stove, fireplace, window treatments, etc. Dan is an encyclopedia of these items and their maintenance histories, recalls, etc and can point out potential problems long before they happen. We loved the fact that he left us with a binder with photos so we could easily review his comments as needed in the future. more

Really great experience 11/17/2016

We've used Emerald for 2 seperate home inspections. Dan is very knowledgable and incredibly detail oriented. And he takes the time to walk you through everything at the end of the inspection, and answer all questions/concerns. They also deliver a very detailed inspection book, that includes helpful tips of what you need to do to maintain your home (which, being a new home owner, was very helpful for us). I would highly recommend. more

I would most definitely recommend Dan to anyone that need a home inspection. He was very thorough and was told annoyed that I was there. He showed me things about the property that I wouldn't have known about for a while. His report was great as well. Color pictures included! Thanks Dan! more

Dan was prompt to our appointment and professional. It was clear that his knowledge at a contractor prior to becoming an inspector was extremely helpful. He pointed out small and large issues and gave us ample time at the end of the inspection to ask all our questions. We highly recommend him to anyone needing an inspection. more

This is the kind of inspector you want on your side 6/30/2016

Dan is a previous home builder who is meticulous and very detailed. I have used him on 2 different deals now, and he can handle multifamily as well as single family homes well. He takes the time to explain everything to you and answers any questions. His reports are very detailed, and he will give you his honest opinion about the property. I will continue to use him for all future deals. more

Great 12/15/2015

Dan accomplished 1.5 home inspections for us. On our first offer, Dan noted several disturbing problems with the property and immediately contacted me to say "run away." He only completed half the inspection so he refunded half the fee. Dan is honest, shows up when he says he will, and has an exceptional knowledge of his work. I would highly recommend him. more

Very thorough and well documented inspection 12/15/2015

We recently went through the arduous task of moving and Dan Temple of Emerald Home Inspection inspected our new home. He toured me through the property the day of the inspection and then sent a really nice book to us that has the inspection report that includes pictures and a write-up on each of the findings. It also contains a sort of maintenance diary for the house. Wonderful work! more

Home Inspection 12/6/2015

Dan Temple from Emerald Home Inspection did the home inspection for my home in September 2015. He was prompt for the appointment, extremely knowledgable and quite thorough. His final inspection report was extremely detailed consisting of over 200 pictures as well as detailed explanations of his findings. I was very pleased with his work and would highly recommend him for any inspection needs. more
