Did not get the value I expected from this inspection. Additionally, was nickel-and-dimed during re-inspection. Would not reccomend this inpsect to family or friends. Similar...

Emerald is absolutely the best! 10/20/2015

Dan Temple at Emerald Inspection is the best in the biz! No hyperbole here-- we wouldn't dream of using anyone else. We used him for our first home purchase 6 years ago and were very impressed. Dan is so experienced and so knowledgeable. He gives you a binder with all the photos and notes and arrows to everything he mentioned to you during the inspection, which is important because you will never remember all of it (he also sends you a PDF, but it's so nice to have a hard copy to look through once you start tackling repairs). We were just as impressed and happy with the service the second time around we when bought our new place this summer. We had the interesting opportunity to see a previous inspection of the same home (first buyers backed out), and Dan's inspection report was vastly superior to the first guy's. No comparison. Use Emerald Inspection-- you will not be disappointed. more

Full inspection of the house we intended to buy 9/28/2015

Sometimes you run into someone who is so good at what s/he does that you are in awe about their expertise. You are left wondering the amount of hard work and time the person must have spent crafting the skill. Dan is such a professional. He went through the house with a fine tooth comb detailing what was right, what was defective and what was recommended maintenance. At the end of his inspection he gave us a tour of his findings. He followed up with an electronic AND printed COLOR copy of the report itemizing every single item. We will use the report for years to come as reference for repairs and maintenance. Muriel, his wife, runs the office and is a gem! They make for a dynamic team. They are consummate professionals you should trust without reservation to provide you the information you need before you make the largest investment of your life. more

Excellent house inspection 9/1/2015

Dan went above and beyond on the home inspection for a duplex. He found many issues, good and in need of attention, so that we knew going in to it, what we were buying. He minimizes the surprises. The report he gave us was amazing with photos of each area plus the best practices way to correct the issues. I will use Emerald again! more

Dan is a Expert in his trade 7/23/2015

I called and Dans office and he was able to fit me into his busy schedule before he left town for a few days. Dan didn't spend hours crawling around the house. It took less than an hour and he found a lot of problems with the house we were planning on buying. He wrote up a detailed inspection report and got it to me fast. I would highly recommend Dan for your home inspection. more

Excellent Service 7/17/2015

Emerald is not the least expensive inspector in town, however when inspecting most people's largest investment, saving a few bucks on a home inspection is not where you should try to save money. I'm a firm believer in you get what you pay for and Emerald is worth every penny. Dan inspected a 500k home for my clients and through his knowledge of construction noticed a few builder errors and made strong recommendations to have the issues looked at by a licensed contractor who specializes in the area of concern and gave us several recommendations. By bringing these issues to my clients attention it saved them over $30,000 in repairs that if not caught during the inspection, my clients would have been responsible for the remedies. We ended up negotiating repairs being completed by the seller prior to closing on the home! Thank You Dan! more

We recently hired Dan to inspect the home we are in the process of purchasing. He did an exceptional job inspecting every aspect of the home, giving us information on what needs to be fixed or updated, and what was done right. He is very perceptive and knowledgeable and we trust that he did a great job inspecting our new home. We would use Dan again in future home purchases and recommend him to others. more

Dan is Very Competent and Thorough 5/12/2015

I've now used him three times (11/12 for the house I just sold); 1/15 for the house I rejected for purchase because of what he found; and 4/15 for the house we just moved into. I've had both plumbing and electrical work done using his report (with pictures) as the template for getting bids and work done. No hesitancy in recommending. Jim Mc more

Dan and Muriel are the best! 2/28/2015

Dan and Muriel wrote the most thorough inspection report I've ever seen. It was extremely detailed and included many photos with specific text descriptions. Executing any needed repairs was easy because the contractors knew exactly what was needed. more

Home Inspection, value far exceeds cost 12/7/2014

I recently hired Dan for a home inspection and I was absolutely blown away by the results. Dan is incredibly professional, friendly, and thorough beyond all my expectations. He goes so far as to provide a booklet as to all the small and large things that require repair. His customer service is second to none, and I'd say that conservatively, the value far exceeds the cost of the inspection. Go with Emerald and you will NOT be dissapointed. more

I worked with Dan 10 years ago on my first house, and requested him again on our second just recently. I am always impressed with his knowledge in his field, his thoroughness and his great attitude. Dan walked us through our prospective new home and showed us everything we could imagine about inspecting the home. We were so comfortable and confident that we hadn't missed anything. He followed up with a 42 page report with pictures as well.I know what minor things I need to do now that I own the home and I am confident there are no hidden nightmares to deal with. Great house inspection 5/4/2014

House buying is never fun, but Dan does such a thorough inspection, it is a pleasure to read through, every photo had a complete explanation and even recommended contractors he had worked with if we wanted to have work done on the new place. The report was long, but will be our go-to information as we move to the new place. more

Professional and Thorough, I would reccomend Dan. 5/4/2014

As a Real Estate Broker, I am working with buyers that need to get thorough and professional inspections, prior to buying a home. He spends as much time a needed to cover all the important aspects of the structures. He will walk through to show the clients things they need to know.
