I have lived in a half-dozen apartments with management companies and this one takes the cake. First, they advertised my studio as a 1 bedroom but I still took it because of the price and location (Abbot Kinney in Venice). They charged too much for a deposit, take forever to fix things or claim they fixed things like my leaking shower when it is obvious they didn't, they never keep the complex clean to the point of disgust and assigned me the wrong parking spot three times and I was nearly towed! Not only is the on-site property manager a total moron but it seems that everyone who works for this company is mentally defficient in some way or another. Twice now I have received notices that claim I haven't paid rent and have three days ""to pay or quit"". When I freaked out and called the first time it was because they claimed they didn't take cashiers checks (I have always paid rent with cashiers checks, even to them) and the second was because they credited my check to the wrong account because, get this: ""they didn't think about looking at the check to see who it was from"" and mis-read the envelope address as a ""2"" instead of a ""7"". I could understand the receptionist and the handy-man being idiots but something is wrong when the accountant of a company isn't smart enough to look at a typed check rather than the hand-printed address on an envelope when someone in a complex has paid rent twice and someone else hasn't paid at all. Morons.\r

I recently started working for a commercial real estate company and will definately steer any clients with apartment buildings away from these twits.
Pros: The kick-ass ""Soul Food Kitchen"" near their Inglewood office
Cons: Only morons work there. Closed weekends. Don't accept cash or personal checks.
