Elephant Moving

Just moved with these guys a few days ago. The experience was great. They were so polite and helpful and moved our whole house very quickly and without damaging things. They also gave us these great pavking crates for free with our move. We packed our whole house into them and it was sooooo much better than using boxes like last time. No scrounging for free boxes or buying a bunch of boxes to use just once. No tape, and I didn't even use much bubble wrap for the glassware. I have a new baby and was not in the mood to mess with it. The crates were so sturdy looking that I hoped there wouldn't be too many broken dishes despite my lazy packing job, and much to my delight only 1 bowl cracked. Obviously you should use something to pad the glass stuff, but even with the bare minimum my stuff did fine. Unpacking was super fast and then they came and took the crates away. I am never going back to cardboard boxes again! The movers were awesome, there were a bunch of them, 5 I think, and they got everything moved into the new house by dinnertime, which was great because by then I was exhausted and would not have lasted another few hours if it took longer. Wonderful move experience and wonderful moving company. I already recommended them to 2 friends who are moving soon, and I will use them again if I need to move in the future. more

Wonderful experience moving with Elephant Moving! They were really great through the whole process. The office staff was always very helpful and responsive. Maria was so nice and always answered my questions and provided tons of information before the move. The price was vey reasonable and comparable  to other quotes I received. I chose them because the service their office provided was very good and I felt comfortable using them to move me cross country to Maryland. The guys who moved me were professional and did a good job when they picked up my stuff. I only had to wait a couple of days for delivery once I arrived in MD about a week after they picked up my stuff so that was convenient and I was glad to have furniture as those first couple of days on an air mattress were less than ideal! Everything a it to the new akce with nothing missing or substantially damaged. I would certainly recommend them to my friends. more

When arriving to unlock 6 storage units delivered into the care of Elephant, I discovered one had been opened and the latches and lock latch obviously tampered with. My possessions had been removed then carelessly reloaded - resulting in missing and damaged items. Complete denial of any responsibility, no response to calls, and blamed it on the way I packed the items at origin. Since I had taken photos of each pod before locking them up for shipping - i knew exactly the position of my items. It was obvious that my items were now in different spots in the pod. Suggest being very cautious when / if dealing with this company. more

Amazing job! We used them to pack and move our large home in Lakeway. They were flawless. They came out to give a quote. They gave us free crates for packing so that was a nice bonus that saved some money on the move. They had large crews of packers and movers so that they only needed a day to pack our large 4 bedroom home and a day to move it all to the new place. Everyone we dealt with was great; office staff was helpful, packers were careful, movers were professional and efficient. Even after a long day I felt like they were still making the effort to make sure everything was being handled carefully. We have a lot of big, heavy furniture and wood floors everywhere. Nothing was damaged (other than a few small scuffs, much less than I expected for such a large move). I have already recommended them to a couple of my real estate clients and I have no doubt that they will do a great job! Seriously, use these guys! They are a great local company that really knows how to work well. more

Very friendly and helpful staff. Reasonable price, very professional service all around. I moved out of state to MD. The guys who picked up were great and did a wonderful job packing up all my stuff. The delivery driver was very pleasant and hardworking and I didn't hear any complaints at all about my ridiculously steep driveway that I'm sure was no fun at all to haul furniture up. They didn't damage anything and got all my stuff to me within about a week. Would use again for sure. more

Beware! This company is plenty friendly until something happens. Johanna was always available to answer questions UNTIL a few of our furniture pieces ended up with damage. The first time we talked to Johanna about our damage she said 'no problem, we'll take care of your claim'. Well, we have tried repeatedly to get resolution to the issue. Johanna is never available no matter when we call. The receptionist always takes a message but no one returns our calls. We have been fighting this since June of 2012. Eight months! We are ready to take this to court. more

Wonderful people! I was absolutely thrilled with the service they gave. The office staff was nice and helpful. Maria was super nice and was able to answer all my questions (or find out the answer and get back to me very quickly in a couple of instances). She was able to provide me with some of their rental crates for free so I didn't have to buy boxes. The movers were friendly and eager to please. While they unloaded they always asked me where I wanted something and never just dropped things wherever. They even let me peek into boxes that I forgot to label so that they could put the boxes in the right place. That helped me so much because I had back surgery last month and would not be able to move the boxes between rooms myself. I will use them again without a doubt when I need to move next year. Wonderful job all around! more

Get someone on the phone that is knowledgeable. My piano arrived with 2 very large scratches and many stuck keys. It was NOT in this condition when it was sent to storage. more

Fantastic moving company. They moved me from Austin to Dallas. The service we got was out of this world. The sales rep was super helpful, the movers were awesomely professional and polite. They did not complain about anything and did a fast and fabulous job of getting the move done. I was especially pleased with the crew foreman, Jose, who really seemed to know the best way to move everything that came along. He and his crew took excellent care of our nice things and even our baby grand piano looked like a simple task when they were working on it. Without these guys I don't know what we would have done. We were so worried about the move because it was a lot of stuff moving several hours away but everyone at Elephant Moving made it super simple and so smooth. Could not have asked for a better service. Two very enthusiastic thumbs up! more

We used Elephant Moving to move us from Austin to New York. The experience was very good and the service they provided was top notch! Everyone we dealt with at the moving company was very polite and helpful. The movers who came to pick up were very professional and did a great job packing everything up. The office staff was super nice. They always answered our questions directly and we never had any problems getting information. It took about 2 weeks for our things to get to our new place in upstate NY. The driver who delivered was totally awesome. He really did a fantastic job on the delivery. We moved to a spot that didn't have great access for the truck but he managed to get close enough that he saved us the extra expense of a shuttle truck, which was great. He made sure everything was where we wanted it and stayed until all the furniture was set up to our liking. We really appreciated the care they took with our move and would call them again anytime. more

It was very convenient and easy moving with Elephant Moving. I had to help move my daughter into storage for 3 weeks and then back to her new apartment. The movers were the easiest part of this ordeal. Elephant Moving made the whole process look so easy; we didn’t have to touch a thing, just sit and watch the moving crew take and bring my daughter's belongings out of the old place and then into the new one. No renting a truck and dealing with awful u-haul (which we did last year). No searching for a storage unit. No hassle taking it out of storage. Easy move, will use Elephant Moving next year again when school is over. Very helpful service. more

Out of state moving experts! These guys did a fantastic job on my move from Houston to NY. They were able to get everything set up on short notice after our other movers tried to change our date with them to a day that wouldn't work for us. Elephant Moving was very helpful through the process of getting the quote and answering my questions. They really made me comfortable and I felt very confident about using them to move our house. The movers were very nice and did a great job picking up our things. And the delivery driver was a saint - he was so patient with us as we tried to figure out where to put everything in the smaller house we moved into. Great experience, great movers, I would use them again in a heartbeat! more

These guys were great! They moved my son and daughter-in-law into their storage facility a couple of weeks ago and she said they did a great job and were very nice and professional. We decided to use them to move us to Houston and were incredibly pleased with the service they provided. The crew was friendly and helpful and their hard work made the move go very quickly even though it was such a long drive from Austin to Houston. They set up everything in our new house exactly as we asked and it all looked great. They did a nice job wrapping up all our furniture for the move, and they were even very careful with our new wood floors and covered them so they wouldn't scratch them up, which was my main worry.Two thumbs up! more

I've used professional movers 3 times in the last 4 years. The crew from Elephant Moving and Storage were by far the BEST moving crew I've ever seen. If I remember correctly, the crew leader was Jose. He and the 3 other guys were awesome. They were clean, prompt, polite, and reasonably priced. Not one thing was broken or scratched during our Austin move. They wrapped and padded all our delicate furniture and bedding. They were very fast, very efficient. I was originally worried because we did not buy additional moving insurance, but that was clearly not needed. These guys know exactly what they are doing. Don't bother shopping around it will be a waste of your time. I doubt you can find better movers at any price! Highly recommended! more

I hired Elephant Moving to move our home to Maryland. I think they did a magnificent job with our out of state relocation. Since my company was paying for the move we had the movers pack everything as well. The company sent an estimator to do a walk through and tell us the cost beforehand. He was really nice and helpful and answered a lot of our questions when he came out. He seemed to really know his stuff and we definitely felt confident that the company could do a great job on our move. The office staff was also helpful before the move and made sure we understood the quote and the insurance and had all our questions answered so that when the movers showed up all they had to do was get to work! Jose and the rest of the guys who packed us up were hardworking and polite and did a great job packing everything with a lot of care. It took about a week for our stuff to get to our new house and the delivery crew was also very professional and did a nice job. They were great about asking where we wanted everything and set up the new place just like we asked. I was very happy with the service we received and would recommend them to anyone moving out of state. more

These guys moved me from Houston to Austin this week and they did a really great job. The crew was on time to pick me up in Houston. They were fast, friendly, polite and did a wonderful job packaging everything for the trip. It took a couple of hours to load the truck and then they drove straight to my new place in Austin. My building didn't tell me that I needed to have the movers send an insurance certificate to them, but the office at Elephant Moving was able to get a certificate over to them in about 15 minutes so there was hardly any delay for my movers. I really appreciated how they came through so quickly on that. The unloading took longer than loading because of the freight elevator but they still came in as estimated even with the insurance delay. I appreciated how the movers made sure everything was placed in my new apartment exactly where i wanted it. It was a painless and easy process to move with them and I will certainly use Elephant Moving next time I move. I know that they will take good care of me and handle everything in a professional manner. more

Saved at least a couple hundred bucks on my move when I moved with Elephant Moving and Storage. In the past when I had to move my house I had to buy at least $200 worth of packing boxes and tape in order to pack my home, not to mention the trouble of going to one of the hardware stores and carting all those boxes home. This time when I searched for movers I saw Elephant Moving had some winter special that offered free packing crates for two weeks. So I booked my move with Elephant Movers since the price of the overall move was very competitive. And the next day I received a delivery right to my door of over 100 of those plastic packing crates (no tape needed, yippee); I must say that they made packing my house much easier and much more efficient than in the past! Great idea to reuse boxes, save the earth and save money. Call Elephant Moving and ask them for this great service to save yourself time and money. Very highly recommended! more

I had to deal with a very tricky situation with the closing on my new home - I had to postpone my move twice at the last minute because of this. The gal in the office was very nice and calm and rescheduled our move with no problem; she was extremely helpful. On the move day the movers did a fantastic job. They were very cautious with our furniture, it was actually very interesting how they covered and taped all the pieces with those mover blankets. It was very effective and protected the furniture from being scratched or rubbed during the move. The movers worked very hard throughout the whole move and gave me excellent service even after 7 hours of hard hauling. The moving exeprince was much easier thanks to Elephant Moving. Great service, great employees. more

They moved us to Los Angeles, CA. The move went exactly according to plan from beginning to end. They came to our house and did an estimate for us so that we would know how much the move would cost. We couldn't afford to have movers pack the whole house, but they did pack up the kitchen and some artworks that my wife was worried about protecting. The guys that loaded up our stuff were very nice and polite. They made sure the things they packed were labelled and they put all the hardware together for the things they took apart to avoid confusion at the other end. We went straight to CA and were ready in our new house within a couple of days of leaving Austin. The movers arrived with our stuff 4 days after picking it up, which was a little earlier than we expected it (they told us it would take 5-7 days) but earlier is better when you have nothing to sit on! Almost everything made it to our new place in one piece. There was a chair that lost a leg, but it was a cheap ikea chair with spindly little legs that the movers warned me would probably break if they didn't box it up. It wasn't worth the cost to do that so we took our chances. Other than that, everything looked great on arrival after such a long journey. The things the movers packed did not break, much to the delight of my wife. All in all, we consider the move a great success. It was stress free and everyone at elephant Moving was very easy to work with. Our things were delivered on time and the price was as promised. Highly recommended. more

I love Elephant Moving! They managed to fit in my move at the last minute on what I found out was one of the busiest days of the year for movers at the end of July. We had a last minute change of plans that meant we suddenly had to be out of our house in Austin a lot sooner than expected, and then we couldn't move into our new home in San Antonio for a few more days. Because it was such short notice every mover that I called was too busy to work our large and somewhat complicated move into their packed schedule on our preferred day, but Elephant Moving told me they could possibly work it in and that the manager would work on it and let me know. They did offer us a discount if we scheduled for the following Monday, but since that was going to cost us more money to lease back our house for those couple of days we really wanted the Friday move to happen. We set it up for Monday to hold the spot for us, but the manager was able to rearrange some things to get us on the schedule for Friday (and I am eternally grateful)! The crew that came to move us was fantastic. They worked very hard and really took great care of our stuff. They loaded up everything and took it to storage for a few days, then delivered it at the scheduled time to San Antonio. They treated the houses well, protected all the furniture, and even helped my kids rearrange their rooms a couple of times even though I'm sure it was annoying to take direction from a 7 year old! The office staff was super nice through the whole process and made sure to keep me posted on all the changes with the schedule. Our whole family was so stressed out when the move got fast tracked to an earlier date, but Elephant Moving took a lot of that stress out with great customer service. Everyone we dealt with was polite, helpful and friendly. I would recommend this company to anyone and everyone! more
