Elephant Moving

I am very happy with the move Elephant Moving performed last week at my home. The movers were very handy; the 4 guys that came to move us worked really hard (we used to live off spicewood springs rd and had terrible access to the house with a very long and steep driveway) and they were very careful with our furniture. I liked the way they wrapped all the furniture in blankets to prevent damage to the pieces - it is a very useful and effective way to work. I think that good service is not just over the phone when you book the job, it is the overall experience of how the job was performed, and Elephant Moving's service was fantastic! more

I love these guys! We use them all the time for our business and I have used them personally at least 3 times now. Every time I deal with them they are just great! The guys that come out to our office to move things around and take things to storage are always so nice, professional and patient. They have to come after 5 because our building doesn't allow moving before that, and even though they are sometimes stuck there pretty late, the crew is always very pleasant and does not seem rushed or irritated by the hour. My boss loves them and has them do everything for her. \r \r So I figured it was safe to use them for my own personal move. They have done a couple of smaller moves for us between house and storage and always did a good job. This time I needed them to move our whole house. They sent an estimator to look at everything so they could give me a good quote, and the office was really nice and helpful answering all my questions. On move day they sent a big crew and got the whole house moved in just a few hours. All the guys were very polite and nice. They asked where things went instead of just dropping things wherever, so there wasn't a lot of shuffling around needed after they left. My 8 year old kind of freaked out about where her bed was supposed to go, and the poor guy who was in there setting it up was so patient with her and moved it at least 3 times before she calmed down. I really appreciated the extra care they took with that because my daughter was a little stressed out by the move. Having her room just the way she wanted it was a great way to let her feel like she was making some of the decisions, and I was worried that the movers would get sick of her changing her mind every 2 minutes. They were just the best group of guys, and I see now why our office uses them all the time for every move, large and small. I know that I will be calling Elephant Moving next time I need to move anything at all. They make the process go so smoothly and are just really nice to work with. Can I give 10 stars?! The price they quoted me was the lowest quote I got and I thought, ok you get what you pay for, but looking closer at the details of the quote I could tell that Elephant Movers offered me a bigger crew than the other companies and more services were included (disassembly, reassembly, appliance service, blanket wrap for my furniture) for much less money than the other quotes I got. Elephant Moving and Storage did a great job on move day (what an easy move it was – the crew was fantastic, they took apart all the beds, mirrors, I didn’t need to bother myself with taking anything apart) and the price remained as quoted. What is cheap is not always bad. In the case of Elephant Movers you get 10 times more service for your money than you might expect. Keep up the low rates and the good job, Thank you Elephant! more

Excellent experience from the start. Very professional communication and easy to follow inventory list. Showed up a tad late but this was my fault due to address mishap..they started immediately and had 3 guys. Worked as a team and didnt see any goofing off Now mind you this was a day in the 90s with high humidity.I had some very hard to manuever furniture as well and heavy! They protected all of my furniture.I could see fromt he start I was not going to have any issues.\r Upon arrival to my new apt I am sure they were sitting in there truck about to regret taking this job..steps are steep But no they got out and started right away. Even with a couple boxes that split a little so far I see nothing was broken.\r Seemed to have a real team way of doing things and always spoke to me respectively.\r I appreciated all of it from Elephant moving and I will no doubt use again but I am hoping to not move again!!!I will refer tho!! \r The other negatives I find on here are surprising I saw no attitude and everything was AAA.I was also on a very tight budget which is not good when moving Kept my same quoted price and no jacking up. more

I hired Elephant Moving to move our office last weekend. I was very nervous about the move - it's hard to move a business and can be really disruptive. Elephant Moving took care of everything and it was all so smooth! The whole process from start to finish was amazingly low stress. Everyone I dealt with was extremely calm and patient, which kept me calm and patient too. They sent someone to do a walk through and gave us a quote the same day. The price was reasonable and the quote was easy to understand. The office staff was really pleasant to work with and answered all of my questions. They helped us work out a system using colored stickers they provided to help the movers sort boxes and furniture to the right offices at the new building. We even got free packing crates for the move that made packing up the office a lot less painful than I remember packing to be! The movers that came to move the office were very nice and professional. Nothing we had seemed to pose any problem for them - sectional desks, computers, cubicle stations, appliances and a very big stuffed deer head - they moved it all with ease. They were always asking where we wanted things to be placed if they weren't sure, so that nothing was just being stuck in random spots. The move took a little longer than expected because we had a problem with the elevator in one of the buildings, but the crew was nice and patient and didn't get mad about having to wait for the elevator problem to be fixed and they just went ahead and used the stairs for part of the move. They were able to get us completely moved over the weekend so that we were up and running on Monday morning and there was very little downtime. I would say they are experts at this type of move, since everything went seamlessly well and we were extremely satisfied with the service provided. more

I don't think anything was routed to the wrong place, and that says a lot about the organization of the guys there. They are supposed to keep our stuff for several months until our new house is finished, and I don't feel nervous at all about that. Didn't hear from them after a day and a half, so I called them and left a message. Still no response. Called back the next day and left a message. Still no response. I am going on over a week and no one from this company has called or emailed me. I have a very large expense move, paid by my company, and I just chose someone else. Your loss Elephant Movers! more

Used this company to move me to Arkansas. They did a speedy and super job. The picked it up right on time, the cost was as promised and they delivered it faster than expected in just 2 days since they had a truck leaving Austin the day after they picked up my stuff and it was obviously a very short drive. I was prepared to wait the standard week plus for my stuff and the extra quick turnaround was much appreciated. The pickup and delivery guys were all professional and polite, no complaints on any of the service I received. Two thumbs up! more

This was an out of town move. They broke some very expensive items and would not pay to have them repaired. They left the place where items were loaded over an hour before we did and when we got to our destination they werent there yet , We had to wait about an hour for them. When they arrived the driver was still griping and I had to hire a couple of people to help unload. AVOID AT ALL COSTS more

Elephant Moving moved me on Saturday the 31st. They had a 4 hour time slot for us based on our quote; they showed up Sunday at 8 am (3 man team) and finished the loading after 1.5 hours. When we arrived to my new apt I realized that the apt I am supposed to move into is not ready. After a short call to Elephant Moving’s office we figured that it will be the best if the crew will wait with us until the apt is ready. The crew ended up having to wait with us almost 3 hours. Elephant Moving was very patient with us, they were clearly late to their next job in order to accommodate my move. They mentioned twice that they need to keep going with their day but still they stayed and finished the move that day in a very professional way. They made sure to reassemble everything and put it just where we wanted it. After all this Elephant Moving did us a favor and agreed to drop 3 small items at goodwill. Elephant Moving is a good company and proof of that is the fact that they kept going after my very long move and still accommodated their next customer, perhaps a little later than scheduled but still they showed up and did the job. I think Elephant Moving is a good and trustworthy company and I will certainly use them again. more
