I read most of these reviews before we went & was shocked after we ate there! Maybe I should read further...... It was good food, but no where near great. \r The service was awful!!! We ordered an appetizer & it took 45 minutes for us to receive it. Our friends were running late so we didn't leave like we normally would if this happened any other time. We were finally joined by our friends & the incredibly slow service continued. My husband asked the waitress what was taking so long.....she rudely told us there was no hold up, that food takes awhile there. \r I don't understand how a dinner can take from 5:30pm to close to 7:30pm......or why an appetizer takes 45 minutes. We won't ever go back!!!!! more

Interesting.... 3/21/2008

There is good reason to believe that all those five-star ratings are not authentic. A good majority of those ""five stars"" are from users that only reviewed ONE place: Ed & Joe's. It looks like someone flooded the votebox. Way to go, you won by cheating.\r \r As others have said, the service is questionable, and while I found my pizza good, it certainly wasn't among the BEST, and not something I'd be writing home about. If you're in the area, it serves its purpose, otherwise I'd recommend going elsewhere. more

Scam!!! -----Apathetic Staff--- 12/12/2007

We saw the reviews (aka scam). We went into the packed pizza dive and placed an order for water, asked again and again. Four times. The Long Island is from a pre-made mix, then tried other drinks but should have known better. A ham deep dish was sent out. I am Jewish. I don't do ham. The server agrued with me. What? WHo does that!? SO waited 45 minutes for the wrong pizza and then waited 45 minutes for a cardboard tomatoe paste pizza. $87 dollars latter... no comps, no sorry's. They do not care... Pros: great fraud plan Cons: servers, food, cheap made drinks more

Bad pizza, even worse service 12/11/2007

Like others, I saw the high star ratings and figured it would be worth a try. The waitress got our order wrong and then insisted that she was right. After confirming that she did get the order wrong, we waited an additional 45 minutes for the correct order. OK, not a big deal at this point, afterall mistakes happen. But once we did receive the right order (Chicago deep dish) we found that the crust was not even doughlike, more like cardboard, caked with flour and still practically raw. The sauce was nearly non-existent, which was probably a good thing actually as what was there had a tinny, canned taste. \r \r I thought the term ""bad pizza"" was kind of like the term ""bad $ex"" in that it really just never happens. But after visiting Ed and Joe's, I can finally say, yes sometimes there really is bad pizza. more

Pizza is phenomenal, great atmosphere, awesome customer service! 11/28/2007

The pizza is sooo tasty!!! The crust is super thin and delicious, my favorite part, (it didn't get voted best chicago style pizza in chicagoland by the way) and the ingredients are super fresh. The service is pretty quick, even with take out on a sunday night when the Bears are playing. There are several surrounding bars and tons of loyal neighborhood customers so fast take out service is a must! It is also a great place to start off your weekend. There is live entertainment and a decent size bar area. The atmosphere in the restaurant is pretty welcoming, but if you want to be a little less in the mix, or in an area that's quieter, you can ask to be seated away from the bar area! The other food besides the pizza is very good also, the calimari is delish! Pros: great pizza, great atmosphere Cons: the pizzas are a little smaller than most other places, a large can definitely feed 2 hungry people! more

Way too noisy 11/2/2007

The food is ok here. Nothing to get excited about. The pizza crust is way too thin, almost like paper. The worst thing about this place is the noise on the weekends. You cannot hear yourself think let alone have a conversation with your party without yelling. The room just echos with noise. Unless your deaf, don't go on a weekend. Pros: decent location Cons: The noise will drive you insane here! more

NO WAY!!!! ""The best pizza""?? 9/16/2007

I was thinking that all the reviews can't be wrong, so I tried this pizza, and did I get a surprise! The crust was dry and reminded me of a matzo cracker and the sauce tasted like canned tomato paste, no flavor. The only thing that had any flavor was the sausage topping and cheese. This is not a Chicago style pizza, but some suburban hype. Come to Chicago and try any of the franchise pizzas and I'm sure anyone will taste ten times better than Ed & Joe's. more

Fraud, Not the best pizza in town! 8/29/2007

They won because they were sending emails out almost every day asking everyone to vote for them (ballot stuffing) and offering coupons for a good review!\r \r Go down the street about five minutes and visit Aurelio?s Pizza @ 159th & Oak Park Ave. Good pizza without being paid to say it!\r \r more

Ed & Joe's pizza is awesome. The crust is my favorite part of the pizza and their crust is outstanding as well as the rest of the pizza. The servers are very customer friendly and helpful. They make you feel at home; the restaurant has a comfortable atmosphere. I would recommend Ed & Joe's and their pizza to anyone. We usually order a bigger size so we have a chance of having some leftover to eat the next day - but sometimes that doesn't work as we finish it there. The rest of the food on their menu is also very good. Great place - Ed & Joe's! Pros: Pizza, other food, service, hospitality more

I have been eating ed & joes since I was 6! Although not a Tinley resident any longer, the pizza is worth the 20 mile drive!!!!!!!!!!! They have the best appetizers and Dinners!\r Pros: extra parking in the commuter lot more

I've lived in the area for over 10 years and Ed and Joe's remains one of my FAVORITE pizza places. They serve the best thin crust pizza and I mean thin crispy crust, yummo. In addition to their thin crust pizza's or norm pizza's they serve a very special Taco Pizza. The best I have ever had. I highly recommend it. I have never been disappointed with anything off of their menu. Stop in, order a pizza and some S.C.M.O.D.S. Nice comfortable place with a friendly hometown atmosphere. YUMM-O! A Great, yummy place to start off the evening 7/17/2007

I absolutely love the pizza and the appetizers are also very good. I can't really comment on the other food since all I ever eat there is the pizza!!!! It's a great place to go with friends to eat and have drinks while listening to live entertainment. The place isn't that big but you usually don't have to wait long for a seat. Ed n Joes is great even 1800 miles away. We live in Arizona and have pizza shipped from Ed N Joes. Mike sends the pizzas out and we cook them and we are sooo very happy to be able to eat the pizza we love you can't imagine. more

Awesome Italian food!!! 7/14/2007

EdnJoes has been a local favorite in Tinley Park for a long time for good reason.Not only do they have great food but the prices are very reasonable.The take out food is made fast and fresh but the dine-in is what makes them so great.The service is friendly and they have game nights and local talent to entertain while you dine.Visit EdnJoes when you're in town,you'll be glad you did. more

Best BBQ Chicken Pizza EVER!!! 7/12/2007

Ed and Joes is by far one of the best restaurants in Tinley Park. The location is key in downtown Tinley. The BBQ Chicken Pizza is awesome!!! And its a must to put the pineapple and red onion on it..just like the menu says to. Its a perfect combo all together!! Besides the pizza they have great sandwiches and burgers. Anything I have ever ordered there has been great. The service is great and entertainment is nice..low key and not too loud. Fun place to hang out and relax. Best part is NON-SMOKING!!! Great place to go with friends or family...HIGHLY RECOMMEND going!! But you have to get the BBQ chicken pizza!!!! Way to Go Ed and Joes!!! We love ya! Pros: Best Pizza ever! Cons: Parking can be a pain...but i live near by so we walk :) more

Ed & Joes is without a doubt one of the best restaurants in town. The service is great and the thin crust pizza is awesome. The sauce is perfect...not too sweet or tangy...just right! There are other great menu choices too. The godmother is my favorite sandwich. I definitely recommend Ed & Joes for a great night out. The bar area is nice too. The best part of all is that it is NON-SMOKING!!! Pros: nice downtown area...easily accessible Cons: none... really!!!! more
