Best pizza and service in a friendly """"neighborhood"" institution 6/30/2007

My favorite pizza since 1971. Delicious toppings on a thin and tasty crust. My prefernce is sausage and mushrooms-a really delicious blend of sauce, cheese, mushrooms and sausage perfectly blended with oregano seasoning. It goes great with most any beverage (beer, red wine, even soft drinks).\r I prefer to enjoy mine at the restaurant after an appetizer (try the calamari-tender, succulent with a great maranara sauce topping). The service is great with a friendly and long time experienced staff and ""hands on"" involvement of the owners. There's often live entertainment (no cover charge) in the bar area. Combined with daily specials ($5.00 Martini Thursdays for example) the place is not only a great eating experience but a good value too! This is where we take our out of town guests. You'll feel comfortable here. more

Best barbecue chicken pizza or taco pizza! 6/29/2007

Ed & Joes is the place to go for the best barbecue chicken pizza or taco pizza. If you have never tried either, you have no idea what you are missing. My husband and I are regulars there and we have never been disappointed. The waitresses are friendly, the bartender is great and the owners make you feel right at home. On the weekends you can find great entertainment at no cost. I highy recommend Ed & Joes and anything they serve.\r Pros: Great food at reasonable prices and friendly employees more

Our Favorite Restaurant 6/29/2007

Several months ago, my family and I moved to Tinley Park. The day we moved was a long day, of course, which included loading up the moving truck. That evening when we arrived at our new home, we were ready for a hearty meal. We decided to go to Ed & Joes, and it turned out to be one of the best restaurant experiences we've had. \r \r The location is historic Tinley Park, and the dining room is a front row seat to the town center. My teenage daughter even commented on how beautiful it was. The server was very friendly and genuine, and she helped to make our first meal in our new hometown quite special. \r \r But most importantly, the food was spectacular. I sensed that the chef took pride in creating quality dishes. From the crisp, fresh salad to the fish and chips fried to perfection, I realized that Ed & Joe?s is more than just another pizzeria. It is a classy restaurant and pub with a warm and friendly persona.\r \r We try to get to Ed & Joe?s at least once a month, and it is something we look forward to. Did I mention they have live music in the pub four nights a week?\r more

Excellent quality always, warm atmosphere, super customer service 6/29/2007

You can always count on an excellent pizza. The prices are very reasonable and you usually get a coupon to return for a free appetizer of some kind. There rewards club is easy to use and very generous with coupons. If you not a pizza fan, my daughter absolutely loves the spaghetti! Pros: Customer service is excellent, ample parking more

Best pizza anywhere, great customer service, and community involvement. 6/28/2007

Ed & Joe's Restaurant and Pizzeria is located on 173rd and Oak Park Avenue in Tinley Park. The restaurant is in the downtown area across from Zabrocki Plaza and the Rock Island Train Station. Inside the restaurant guest can enjoy seeing the early history of the Village of Tinley Park on the walls.\r \r Our family's favorite is the thin crust pizza which we feel is the best in the Chicagoland area. The thin crispy crust, home made sauce, cheeses and spices are the most mouth watering pizza you have ever eaten. The pizza is cooked to perfection and it is simply the best. We usually order two pizzas for our family of four in order to take left overs home to enjoy. The taco pizza is a great combination of thin crust, beans, cheeses, olives, tomatoes and other spices. Guest will ejnjoy delicious food in a great atmosphere.\r \r If you are dining in on the week-ends at Ed & Joe's plan on an early dinner or you will have to wait for a table. Ed & Joe's is a smoke free restaurant so all gujest can enjoy their meals. In the bar area on week-ends live entertairtainment is provided. \r \r The owners and staff at Ed & Joes's are friendly and it is a pleasure to dine in or carry out from this restaurant and I would rate this restaurant five stars!\r \r Ed & Joe's Restaurant is also very involved in the VIllage of Tinley Park participating in many community activities. Pros: Delicious food, great service, register for the birthday club and receive a free meal on your birthday Cons: Crowded on week-ends, noisy when crowded and parking is very limited. more

Great Pizza in Tinley Park and Surrounding Suburbs 6/27/2007

Ed & Joe's has been a staple in Tinley Park since I moved here over 30 years ago. Enjoyed their food then and now. Service is great and restaurant is clean and friendly. It's a great place to meet with friends and co-workers to have a bite to eat and something to drink and relax. Their burgers are also A-1. Much better than the fast food around town. Their Taco Pizza is really something special. I urge everyone to at least try them once and see for yourself. Cons: Can't say there is more

My comparison pizza 6/27/2007

Ed & Joe's opened in February 1961. My parents ordered their first E & J pizza in May of '61, sausage & mushroom, after they brought me home from the hospital. I literally grew up on E & J pizza! I have traveled around the country and world, having tried many, many different pizza's. I compare others and always come home to the best pizza in the world: Ed & Joe's (my favorite: sausage/mushroom). It tastes as good today as it did when I was growing up! The consistency of their pizza, from the tastiest crust (I don't eat the crust on other pizza'a) to the delicious sauce and toppings is what makes them, in my opinion, the worlds very best pizza! Pros: Great Bar, decent beer selection, always friendly and accomodating, Cons: tough parking many times, on music nights hard to have conversation in the restaurant with music in the bar (can a seperator be installed?) more

Excellent pizza, service and weekend entertainment! 6/27/2007

Ed & Joes has excellent pizza! The pizza and service is always consistent. My family and I have been going to Ed & Joes for over 20 years. If you haven't tried it, I highly recommend giving it a try. In addition to pizza, they have other entrees which are just as good. Chef Kinkaid does a great job with trying different foods. Give It A Try, You Won't Be Disappointed. Pros: Pizza, pizza, pizza! Cons: None. more
