Eagle Transmission Repair Shop Richardson

My son is a Diesel mechanic and works with transmissions. When I needed some transmission work done and he did not have time to do it, he recommended Eagle Transmission and Auto Repair. They were extremely pleasant, always cordial, and responsive. If I had any questions, they would call back right away answer my questions to the best of their ability. They are very family-oriented and really respect people's opinions. Eagle completely rebuilt my transmission and, so far, everything has been good. I was impressed with the way that they handled their business. They did exactly what they said they were going to do and did it well. more

I initially decided to use Eagle Transmission because the location was convenient. I felt that they were honest with me about what was wrong with car and did not try to sell me on anything unnecessary. They did what they said they were going to do and replaced the transmission. When we had to have an adjustment made, they came through and honored the warranty. I did not have to go through a whole rigmarole. They were easy to work with and I really appreciate that. more

After several months of driving and about 6000 miles I can say I am more than satified with the repairs and the price of the repair. I want to thank Tito who responded to my call on March 1 when I had transmission problems. I had driven in from Atlanta Ga. and needed to be back on the road by Thursday March 3. I used google to find the best shop to repair my late model mercedes. I read the excellent reviews and after calling the shop I was certain this is the place I can trust! My vehicle was initially diagnosed for free. Knowing what the dealer was going to charge $200 just to look at it I decided on going to Eagle. My problem was diagnosed and I was kept informed throughout the process of the repair. My car is back on works perfect for thousands less than the dealer was going to charge. I will recommend Eagle to my family and my friends because they are professional and honest. The customer service is excellent and I want to thank everyone from the guy that answers the phone and kept me informed to the person that keeps the shop spotless, the bathroom was even immaculate! I came in with problems of shaking on acceleration. I spoke with Junior & Tito, they both said I needed to have the Transmission rebuilt and that they did not know the exact problem, but that some ?soft? parts would need to be replaced. They did not know the exact problem, but said it would cost about $800 & up depending upon what they found when they took the transmission apart. Then they went into a sales pitch about their 1, 2, & 3 year warranties. I wanted a second opinion and took it to the dealership. They fixed it in 2 hours?turns out I had a bad universal joint, not the transmission. Cost at the dealership was $270. more

Just needed to take some time out of my busy schedule to write this well deserved review of my experiance with this transmission shop.frist of all they are very polite when answering the phone,I told him that all I knew is that my transmission had gone out,and I needed aprice,well he was very honest and told me that he couldn't give me an exact price,I mentioned to him that I had called other places and had given me a price and I just wanted to compare them.He told me that to give me a price with out any surprices at the last minute(been there done that at other shops)they needed to do a diagnose at no charge(free)and then we could go from there,he would then know what price to give me and tell me what my car needed done.I told him that I was not able to drive my car it won't move,He offered me a free wrecker too.They didn't take long at all,after getting there and seeing how busy they were.I was very surprised of how clean and neat the shop was,they were all very professional looking and very concered of each and every customer that was there.After no waiting long they had a price and a fact to the problem of my car.The price was not bad at all,compare to the priced the other shops had given me without knowing what the problem was.I get paid monthly so I don't have the money right now,they offer financing so that was not a problem.They even went the extra mile in getting me a rental car while they worked on my car,did not take long,next day my car was ready and has been working like new.Thanks guys you all are AWESOME!!keep up the good work.. more

When my transmission failed I called Eagle Transmission, and the original foreman running the shop answered my phone call late on a Saturday afternoon. I thought that was very nice. Evidently they have the line run to his cell phone, but at least he answered it. In the transmission world that is almost unheard of, so I was very happy about that. They are fairly close, so I took the truck in. One thing that I was a little disturbed by was that it took 4 days to get it fixed. There were several phone conversations about pricing and whether I wanted a new transmission, a rebuilt transmission with new parts, or a rebuilt transmission with used parts. Because my truck is 10 years old, I decided to go with used parts. 4 days later I get my truck back. Meanwhile I have been having to get my wife to drop me off at work. I understand that repairs take awhile, but 4 days seemed a little extreme. After 2 weeks they wanted me to come in so that they could drive around and check out the transmission. I did that, and they said that everything looked fine. After another 2 weeks I get in the car, fire it up, and the check engine light comes on. That was the signal the first time that something was wrong. I call the original guy again, take it to him, and he plugged his meter into my truck. Sure enough, one of the parts wasn't working. He told me it would take 2 days to get the part in, and that he felt it was fine to drive it until then. I called Eagle Transmission the following Monday and asked, once again, for the original guy. The guy who answered the phone said that he no longer worked there. He was very cordial to me, and let me know that he would order the part right away. He said that he would get it there the next day, and sure enough he did. I went in there, and they knocked it out in 30 minutes. Overall, I would say that for $1,800 it went fairly well. It was a lot of money, but I understand we are not talking about changing out a battery. The other gentleman who took over as shop foreman was very cordial, and I would say that they did what they were asked to do. I was a little disconcerted that the original guy was suddenly gone, especially as he was the one dealing with my car and was supposed to have ordered the part, but the truck is running fine. Who knows what all the politics were. When I went back to the second guy he cleared a lift for me immediately, and I really wasn't there for more than 30 minutes. He had a handle on his business and got it done, so I give him Kudos for that. Overall it was business as usual as far as auto repair. I wasn't blown away, but I was not completely disappointed either. They have a clean office and a clean shop. more

I went to Eagle Transmission to get my transmission fixed because it was messed up. They were pretty fast and their service was good. They even picked me up at the train station. And, so far, so good. more

Everything was great. Eagle Transmission was recommended to me by another shop here in the Garland area. This was my first time using Eagle and they were fast. They did a full transmission rebuild on my F-150 truck, which I use as a personal vehicle as well as for my business. They did a great job. They even said they'd come pick up my truck to do the work, and they did. I don't think there are any better people to do the job than Eagle Transmission. Bob Wilson more

They did a good job and they had me vehicle ready when they promised. It was also the price they promised. I was on vacation and they we were able to handle everything over the phone. They actually went and got the car from the dealer and made the repair. And, so far, the transmission rework has held. more

I hired Eagle Transmission to rebuild the transmission on one vehicle and perform repair work on the transmission of another vehicle. They got in quickly, and they kept me informed throughout every step of the process. They kept me appraised of all changes and findings, and they would present me with new options accordingly.
