I was literally lost & did not know where to go to have my car fixed, then I was told to visit Eagle Transmission. My car would not even stay on long enough to be driven David offered towing & within 1 hr I received a call that my car was being taken care of. I was thinking it was a transmission issue & was really not looking forward in paying a hefty amount, but after amazing diagnostics it was just a fuel issue. I had already spent over 1,000$ at other shops & my car was worse. With just one visit & in a timely manner my car was fixed. I can not thank Eagle Transmission enough. These men are knowledgeable of what they do, & remain professional at all times; just wonderful customer service. I will ALWAYS go to Eagle Transmission for any thing that has to do with my car & so should you. more

i would highly recommend Eagle transmission for your repair work. I worked directly with Scott and he arranged a tow truck (free of charge) to bring my car in and inspect. The original diagnosis was free and he was clear and concise about the problem. Scott took the time to make sure and inspect all elements of my transmission and clutch to make sure his diagnosis was correct. His work was $1000 less than VW service shop was for theirs. I had to do a full transmission replacement due to a crack in the seal in my 2009 VW Rabbit (manual). Also replaced the clutch. Scott worked with me on an in house payment plan with no interest which I was extremely grateful for. 12,000 mile or 1 year warranty on all his work, I highly recommend. Lastly, during the repair there was a vacuum hose that went out during the repair causing my brakes to basically go out. Scott also repaired this free of charge. Thanks Scott!! more

Great experience. Brandon was very helpful and they were done earlier than expected for a good price. The 3 year warranty made me feel much better. When I brought it in for the 2 week checkup I mentioned the 1-2 shift was hard.\r \r Despite me bringing it in that day and Brandon being shorthanded, he made sure to get the adjustments done before he closed. Runs like a champ now.\r \r I highly recommend them. more

Yup. These guys are good. I was braced for a lot more $$ and hassle, but pleasantly surprised with a much more reasonable price. Don't go anywhere else for your transmission services. I am so relieved to have found them.\r \r p.s. - I haven't been inspired to write a review in years, and with a vehicle now at 16 years old and 232K miles, I've been to a few mechanics. Go ahead and try 'em out. more

While driving home on the freeway on a Friday afternoon, our 2001 Honda Odyssey mini-van had a transmission problem. When you'd accelerate, the transmission wouldn't engage?you could hear the engine rev, see the RPMs increase, but the van wouldn't move forward.\r We had it towed home by AAA (and just FYI on the AAA tow?we had three people in the van, but the tow vehicle could only seat two. Having no other way to get home, one of our passengers had to walk. I certainly don't recall reading that when I paid $160.00 for my membership to AAA, that you are limited to one or two passengers, depending on the size of the tow truck sent. So be aware of that!)\r Once home, I found out by internet research that our particular van make and model had been plagued by transmission problems resulting in Honda paying a percentage of the inevitable repair. Unfortunately, ours was out of warranty. The Honda dealership where we purchased the van quoted me $5000 - $6000. After picking myself up off the floor, I began my search for a local reputable transmission repair shop.\r After much research, I found Eagle Transmission in Mesquite, on Galloway. I called and spoke with David who was happy to really listen and discuss the transmission problem. He had a tow truck driver come that night (and it was late?wonderful service!) to get the van to the shop so he could look at it immediately on Saturday morning.\r Eagle has a free diagnostic check. The check determined the problem was inside the transmission, and it would cost $495.00 to open it up to check it further. (The $495.00 would be applied to the repair). Once the full check was done, we got the news it would cost about $3300.00. There was another quote that was about $300 less, but we opted for this quote, as it came with a 3 year, unlimited mileage warranty, and the Torque Converter was better. I told him I had come to him via Angie's List, and he was happy to give me a 10% discount. Eagle would also pay $30.00 per day for my rental car, up to 5 days.\r Eagle also has several financing methods. While we didn't take advantage of any of them, we did apply for one. The process was pretty painless, and they agreed to finance about half of the repair cost, so you do have options if you can't afford to pay it all yourself at once.\r The rebuild was started on Monday afternoon and David said more than likely it would be ready by Friday evening. When the rebuild was done, David was concerned that there might be a leak, so he wanted to keep it and put more miles on the van on Saturday morning to check. When that check didn't fully satisfy him, he needed to keep it until Monday, just to be certain everything was done correctly. He even gave me an additional $60.00 credit for two more days of car rental!\r We picked up the van on Monday morning, and so far, everything is great. I must compliment David, who was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. He put up with my daily (sometimes 3 or 4 times a day) calls with questions. He walked me through every step of the process and helped me to understand what was being done and what we were paying for.\r The total out-the-door price for the rebuild, with all of our discounts, was $2789.00. While you may think that's high, that's MUCH lower than what the dealership quoted. And after searching the internet for what other Odyssey owners have paid, I don't feel that I was taken advantage of. We do have to return in 10 ? 15 days for a follow-up check on the repair, or the warranty will be voided. I totally understand the need for the check; David likened it to a follow-up Doctor's visit after major surgery.\r I will update this review as needed, after the check-up and we drive our van a bit.\r So, after this long-winded review, I want to say that I fully recommend David and Eagle Transmission! Thanks, David and Team Eagle Transmission! more

After going to a few places to get quotes for our Mustangs clutch We found Brandon at Eagle. He had the best customer service and did the work faster than we thought possible. They were able to bring us home when we dropped off the car for work. They got the work done in two days, which was faster than all the other places. We were able to drop the car off Monday afternoon and picked it up Wednesday morning. more

Trans for towing 6/8/2015

I have a 2000 Dakota, 5.9L. Started pulling an RV (23', 5K lbs with all my stuff in it). Used for contracting around the country. Now retired and traveling to State Parks. The 5.9 tow cap is 7K lbs. Dodge messed up not offering a 5 speed with the 5.9 and with a 1,000 rpm gap from 3rd to O.D. it's been tearing up the trans and rear end. Get a new truck? Not on my retirement funds. So I thought I'd check out Eagle Transmission ( 2233 N. Galloway, Mesquite) to see if it was worth saving. Let's see....Billet torque converter, Sonnax shift kit and some internal valve controls and settings (I don't understand it all) but I do have some mechanical background. Replaced rear with Eaton Posi-Trac (Eagle also). Beefed suspension to 3/4 ton. (Done at Thru-Way Spring while up in New York). Four corner H.D. with coil over rear Monroe. Total cost: $7K. For what Eagle did. It pulls awesome! No more slip, vibes or drive line shaking. They just saved me $35K over buying a new truck. These guys don't just show for work....they make it work. more

I could have done as good a job watching you tube 6/6/2015

Took our Jeep Cherokee in for a grinding noise. They fixed it, but it didn't work said it wasn't the out put bearing that the whole thing needed rebuilt. Paid 435.00 for the bearing and then another 1650.00 for the rebuild. Put 8k miles on it and my son then went to school. When he returned he was going to start driving it again and the tranny was slipping. By now the warranty is up and I am not messing with these idiot s anymore. All World Transmission in Garland took it apart and found that the clutches were reassembled clutch on clutch and the band had groove marks where it was forced back on with a screw driver. If you take your vehicle here you are an idiot. more

Issue Resolution Great 4/20/2015

I have been working with Eagle in Richardson for some time now as we initially repaired the transmission and then they worked with me to replace another part that had gone out as the result of the stiffness of the repair and they did this at cost and even when the factory part failed, they redid the work at no cost without complaint. They also told me about a workaround that could be done to protect my transmission in the future and did that for me at cost when they replaced the broken part. Caleb has been very patient with me and kind throughout my numerous dealings with them and has always worked to make sure that I am happy in spite of having to spend so much money. While I have had multiple issues occur...many of them just bad luck, the team has worked to make sure that I was taken care of and happy. I would recommend Caleb and Eagle to anyone. more

Did I get scammed 2/13/2015

This was a horrible experience. First the came of course we can do it and do it the best. Then came the delays, then the lies, then more delays, more lies and then the finished product which looks like nothing that we had discussed. I will change this rating if the fix it correct. more

I brought my vehicle to eagle transmission of Richardson after Kwik Kar had noticed a small leak coming from my transmission while performing an oil change. I drove in with no appointment on a Saturday. I explained to Lewis the manager on duty that Kwik Kar had informed me of a leak at my driver side halfshaft. Lewis was able to locate the parts required for my repair. I would like to thank Eagle Transmission staff for getting me back on the road in such short notice. OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE. 5 stars!! ?????????? more

Incredibly helpful; found us FINANCING! 3/22/2014

From start to finish everyone at Eagle was great (this review is for the location on Jupiter in Richardson, by the way). Emo always answered the phone when I called with updates or questions on our truck, and is always smiling and courteous. I've met the actual owner/GM and he was also incredibly nice. He's very old-school about customer service and helping people out. I wish more owners and managers still had that attitude, but they've got it at this shop for sure. Gerardo is who we dealt with the most, and the best thing about the whole experience is that we had a pretty major repair that cost a pretty penny (no matter where you go) and we only had enough money off-hand to pay for about half. And, we're in the process of rebuilding our credit so our credit was not good. Gerardo and Emo took a lot of time with us to find us several financing options to combine to make sure we could get our truck working again. They even started working on the truck for us while figuring it all out (which took about a day, because again, bad credit that we're still fixing). I'd use Eagle again. I'd recommend this particular location to friends, because the owner and employees are customer-oriented. Also, they finished the truck's transmission pretty quickly and we needed it back right away. In conclusion... I AM EXTREMELY PLEASED. :) Also, I'm a woman. I liked that Emo and Gerardo shook my hand, as well as my husband's, and did not leave me out of the conversation when discussing the truck. I'd probably particularly recommend this location if I have friends (female) who are not auto-savvy and need someplace trustworthy to go. more

Eagle Transmission Richardson: Ripoff!!! 1/2/2014

Rip-off!!!. Stay away from this shop. Had my transmission rebuilt and after only 8 months the rebuilt completely failed. I took it back for warranty work and its was in the shop for 19 days. I had to pay out of pocket for Car rental during the time of repair. Think about that out of pocket cost when they talk to you about warranty work! Here's a summary of my experience: Shop manager does a good job of bringing you in and assuring you will get good deal. the tester, who will test drive your car and say that he cant determine what is the problem is...he will recommend that your car needs to go on the rack...you ll hand them your keys for the free inspection. The next day you ll get a call ... guess what... your car needs a rebuilt. BTW... the only way they can determine whats actually wrong with your transmission is if they take it off your car and take it apart at that time you have no choice but to have them rebuild it. While I was in the waiting area waiting to drop my keys for warranty work I spoke to the guy sitting next to me...it seems we both had the exact same experience. He was also turning his car for a failed rebuilt. Help stop shaddy shops...report fraud!!! more

Stay away from this place, they will rip you off by telling you lower amount in the beginning and will end up charging you few thousand dollars more

Worst experience I ever had 11/19/2013

Worst experience I ever had with any car repair shop. If you give them your car for diagnostic, there’s no way you can get it back without paying a big chunk of money. They told me that my car has a minor issue and they will fix it under $500 but unfortunately I ended up paying them over $3000. Another repair shop asked me $1300 to fix the same problem. Eagle transmission told me that I have to pay $1500 even I don’t get anything fix because of their time. Unfortunately, they left me with no other option but to pay them $3100 so I can get my car back. Also, they promised me many times that my car will be ready in a couple of hours but it took me 4 days to get my car back which was very inconvenient as I needed my car to get to an important appointment I had. Had they told me they were gonna take such a long time, I would have other arrangements.\r \r They advertise that they have the best customer service but in reality, they don’t care about their customers time or money as they more
