Since they manage several homes for several different tennants, its easy to find something niche should you need that. For example, my wife and I are okay with money now but before we werent so our credit was subpar, Desertwide Properties found a good match for us and a good match for the homeowner. We paid more to get in but it allowed us to rent our first house. Thanks Desertwide! Highly recommended! more

Editorial review from Citysearch 12/6/2012

We rented from them for 2 years in Gilbert area and the rent was very affordable (about $200 to $400 less than other companies. So in 2 years, we saved at least $4800)\r They never bother us for those 2 years and always respected our privacy. We also like that they have an ""all refundable deposit policy"" (which means that : if we return the house in the condition we received it, then the deposits are fully refundable..( a lot of companies charge $250 to $400 non refundable deposit ). So we thought that their policy was a very fair one. We rented a house from Erickson Realty as well which was another great company ( they do have a $250 - $300 nonrefundable cleaning deposit though, so.. that means we won't get that deposit back no matter how clean we left the house).\r \r When we moved out from Desert Wide on April 2012, we cleaned the place well and left it in "" move in ready condition"" (that means they don't have to hire anybody else to clean the place, so they don't need to pay any cleaning company to rent the place out and they can rent it out right away) and surely we got almost all of our deposit back (including all of the pet's deposit). They only charged us $81 for forgetting to dust the lamps, a couple of ceiling fans, moldings, and the chalk marks and drawings in the back yard, which we did all that and it is very fair to do (if they have to hire someone to clean whatever we left behind, it is our responsibility to pay that bill) It is also our responsibility to leave the house in the condition we received it. So, if you don't like to be charged, you must clean it.\r \r They take good care of their property. We looked at different rental companies, only Erickson Realty and Desert wide has very clean homes. I still remember when we were going to move in, the property we liked was clean, however the carpet and refrigerator were still dirty, so we contacted Patrick right away about that and they took care of all of that right away (before we moved in). This company is the way to go if you are looking for an affordable place that's in clean condition and well taken care of. Other companies rented their houses out in an ""as is "" condition (we saw houses with dog's feces and filthy stained carpet).\r \r We also got our deposit from Desert Wide in about 8 days. Very professional and we will definitely recommend this company to our friends and families.\r Just make sure when you move out to leave the house in ""move in ready"" condition (just like how you received it, even though they don't requested), make sure you LL be there when they schedule the move-out walk-through (so you will know what areas he was referring to that was not clean/ taken care of. The gentleman that was doing the move-out walk-through was really nice as well).\r \r This is a good company.\r If nothing is ruin or left un-cleaned, you will get your money back ! guaranteed !\r Best wishes. more

I have been an active licensed real 3/8/2012

I have been an active licensed real estate agent for 7 years. I work with renters and landlords, and I have been both a renter and a landlord myself. I have also worked previously as a property manager. I do not recommend Desert Wide Properties for either the home owners or the renters. According to them they do manage 1100+ properties, which may sound great, but as a result they are spread way too thin and do not provide the service they promise they will. For all those 1100+ homes they only have two people who handle maintenance concern notifications. I know of a specific situation where a home had a large water leak, that the maintenance team allowed it to go over a week without any repair, and the renters had to threaten to move to get it repaired. Yet, the owners approved the repair on the day after the leak was reported. As an owner it is never in your best interest to have your property management team allow water to leak for more than a week, thus causing your repair expenses to grow with each day not treated-this specific situation ended up with a costly mold remediation and drywall repair. The renters in this situation were then made out to be the bad guys to the owners so that the maintenance team could save face. This is not the company you want to hire if you want your property to actually be taken care of by the maintenance team. Also this is not a company you want to rent from, especially if you want your concerns quickly addressed, and if you want to be treated fairly. They are not professional, do not hire them or rent from them. more

DESERT WIDE PROPERTIES SCAM 10/22/2011

These office locations do not even exist. Any good reviews they have are written by their own employees. They even ask them to write them. For shame for shame. HORRIBLE Company 10/16/2011

NEVER use this company. They are awful. Despite the high costs upfront and the assurance they will work to find you tenants, they will not. They make very minimal attempt to locate tenants and then treat any potential tenants rudely. We had issues with a lock that was preventing anyone from getting into the house before it was rented and they refused to go out and fix it, thereby delaying any potential tenants from viewing the home. We ended up finding our own tenants and it took them months to send the partial refund. We dealt with many delays in money owed to us and had to constantly request our money to be sent to us. They hired terrible and expensive vendors who were also rude to our tenants, so we ended up doing all of our own maintenance handling from out of state. Basically we paid them to collect rent checks, hold onto them for several weeks, and hopefully send us the balance when it was due to us. DO NOT use this company. They are expensive, unprofessional, and I truly can't believe they are still in business. more

Give Wrong Information 10/9/2011

I never get the straight story from these people that work in the office on any question I ask. They are not good at returning calls or answering questions. They seem to think tenants are a big joke. more

EVIL COMPANY 8/31/2011

EVIL COMPANY = They may have a few good people that work there but not enough so that good triumphs over evil, so far. They need to be investigated by the Feds or AG's office and probably need to get sued. Don't believe any good reviews you might read about them without wondering who really wrote it. City Search requires a star rating or you can't post, they should have a satan's pitchfork symbol to choose as an option instead of a star. more

Untrustworthy and thieves 8/8/2011

Desert Wide wants nothing but to charge you for everything that goes wrong on the property being leased. After following all rules this company will find a reason to charge full price for whatever the problem is. The owner of the home said he agrees but he just doesn't have time to manage it himself because he too is charged quite a bit of money. I cleaned the house military style and they charged me a cleaning fee. So far I haven't received my security deposit but I have been told I will pay for cleaning. This was very dishardening since I left the house cleaner than it was when I moved in. I just knew I would have my entire deposit returned. I know now I will pay for cleaning. The walk through inspector said the house was move in ready but that wasn't good enough for DWP. I never had one late payment because I chose electronic payments. I will pray for everyone that make contact with these thieves, they only play by their rules and even if you do nothing wrong...you will be charged. Blood sucking thieves!!!!!!!! They don;t deserve a one star trust me when I tell you this! more

RUN AWAY AND DON'T LOOK BACK 8/6/2011

RUN FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AND DON'T LOOK BACK! I wish I had the ability to give it no stars! This company is horrible and their Better Business Bureau reports are horrible too! They have done everything from failing to give me an HOA violation that i didn't know I had until the HOA wanted to charge me $$$$. They stopped sending us statements and charges us late fee's we didn't know we had to they rejected our rent payment because it wasn't the exact amount we owed. Didn't even bother informing us of this and then wanted us to pay more fee's including a 3% fee for their failure to inform us!!! Every month its another issue from these people and no one will call you or talk to you or return your call! RUN FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AND DON'T LOOK BACK! more

Unfair security deposit return & not paying judgement 8/3/2011

We moved out of a home managed by Desert Wide Properties in Feb 2011. We left the property in better condition than when we moved in as verified by DWP's own Move-in and Move-out check lists. The owner of the home immediately listed the property for sale, in the condition we left it, posting photos, as we left it and describing it as ""extra clean"". When DWP withheld more than $800 of our security deposit, we called and wrote them numerous times. We finally took them to small claims court and they didn't show up. July 13, we received a small claims judgement against DWP for $2038 and they still haven't paid. Now we have hired an attorney to assist in collection. more

The worse company ever. Be aware of them. 8/3/2011

They do nothing. They supposed to manage for you but when you need their help, they are not there for you. They only care themselves. I did not get 2 month rent and have to evict the tenant by my self, going through the court. All they ask is money...money...money. If the tenant paid late, they took all the late fee and penalty. We get nothing. When tenant move out, all the damage cost by the tenant did not get paid to us. Most of the deposit from tenant took by desert wide. Even though the tenant did not paid, they charged management fee to us. All the late fee and penalties apply to the deposit money. I have to paint my house, replace dis washer, clean up the yard, most likely to replace carpet. They said they can only charge cost of the paint and not my labor. They cann't charge to replace dis washer because I don't know what happen to the dis washer. STAY AWAY FROM THEM. more
