Review content:
I have been an active licensed real estate agent for 7 years. I work with renters and landlords, and I have been both a renter and a landlord myself. I have also worked previously as a property manager. I do not recommend Desert Wide Properties for either the home owners or the renters. According to them they do manage 1100+ properties, which may sound great, but as a result they are spread way too thin and do not provide the service they promise they will. For all those 1100+ homes they only have two people who handle maintenance concern notifications. I know of a specific situation where a home had a large water leak, that the maintenance team allowed it to go over a week without any repair, and the renters had to threaten to move to get it repaired. Yet, the owners approved the repair on the day after the leak was reported. As an owner it is never in your best interest to have your property management team allow water to leak for more than a week, thus causing your repair expenses to grow with each day not treated-this specific situation ended up with a costly mold remediation and drywall repair. The renters in this situation were then made out to be the bad guys to the owners so that the maintenance team could save face. This is not the company you want to hire if you want your property to actually be taken care of by the maintenance team. Also this is not a company you want to rent from, especially if you want your concerns quickly addressed, and if you want to be treated fairly. They are not professional, do not hire them or rent from them.
