Disappointment does not begin to describe my experience with Colonial Marble & Granite. After suffering a rude individual who came to my home to measure for counter-top, I called to confirm the delivery schedule and was informed that my order had been canceled. If I had not called to confirm, I would not have known until the delivery date that the counter-top was not coming. Customer service was no help, and they told me I would need to pay for another measuring visit. Needless to say, I will be taking my business elsewhere. more

UPDATE: This company is now basically harassing me and my husband to remove this review which is MY true and factual opinion on a company that personally doesn't care about customer service in the least!!! They are still not willing to fix the problem at large. That is not the way to gain customers! STAY AWAY from this company unless you want to be threatened months later! I have since filed a complaint with the BBB. **I highly discourage using them if you are shopping for counter tops. After carefully selecting our pieces of marble for our kitchen and being asked what kind of edging we wanted they were delivered incorrectly. I said something to the installers but their reply was ""we can't do anything about it, we just install"". Not only did they get the edging and corners incorrect, whatever plastic covering they place on the marble for delivery left noticeable marks and lines across our whole island piece! I called the company several times, left emails for our salesperson and it was almost a week before our message was returned with a laugh in our face that we picked out marble what should you expect. I expect my piece to be pristine when it is delivered and installed! They tried to make amends but it really wasn't good enough! Some guys came out to fix the lines and they made it worse than before when they tried to buff it out! Its a mess and I will NEVER recommend them to anyone in the area. Something I've been told I just ""need to live with"" Well that's not honestly good enough! Take your business elsewhere!I highly discourage using them if you are shopping for counter tops. I am really sorry that I didn't read reviews for this company before we started! We went thru Home Depot and I wrongly assumed that they dealt with reputable businesses.\r It has been 4 months since we ordered our countertops and we are still waiting!!! It took them 3 months to tell us the countertop we picked would not work and we would have to choose a different one. We were told if we picked quartz they would have it installed in 2 weeks...not true! If they tell you they will call you back don't hold your breath.\r This has been our worst home improvement project ever! more

I went to Colonial Marble and Granite last Wednesday with my daughter and met with Michael Goldstein, I recommend talking to him. The process was straight forward and remarkably easy. Some of the advantages to dealing with them is the large inventory, the sink cutout is free, you can have them remove any existing counter tops and install a new sink. Best of all it is there is no pressure and the costs are simple to follow and easy. This place has thousands of samples if you choose to look at all of them, or do what we did, give the predominate colors and cost points (their on a chart that you can take). Bring in dimensions of what your want and if you have cabinets, take a picture and bring it. The process is uncomplicated and they do it all. Last Saturday a technician came with a laser level to measure what needed to be done. Oh and if you're in a hurry, how about nine days from start to finish.\r \r Steve Rhoades more

Do not use Colonial Marble! If you buy your kitchen from Home Depot, make sure you Do not have colonial marble as your installer. \r \r Their equipment failed the first time they were to come and measure for the countertops and cancelled two hours into the four hour window they gave us for arrival. The rescheduled for a few days later between 1-5 and didn't come till 6 (no phone call letting me know they would be late). \r \r Next, they called shortly before my install day to tell me the material was backordered I had to wait another week and a half. \r \r Once installation day was scheduled, they (once again) did not come within the time window they gave us. Instead of calling me let me know and apologize that they were late (again) they insisted that they did not tell me that time! \r \r A significant piece of the counter is the wrong size. The installer told me they would call to schedule another installation date to bring the new piece and finish the job. I waited a day and a half and got NO CALL. When I called they said my installation was already done and the woman on the phone had NO IDEA that my counter top was WRONG! \r She told me I would receive a call that Saturday to schedule the delivery. I did not receive a call till Sunday. I was told it would be on Friday between 8-10. I just received a call to ""schedule"" me for Friday between 11-4. \r \r This company clearly is not capable of handling the volume of business they have taken on. If you want customer service or professionalism stay clear of Colonial Marble!! more

The Sales Team at the Harrisburg location, specifically Nick and Joe, were fantastic! After placing a quote request through the website, we received a professional and friendly phone call less than 2 days later with a detailed quote explaining the process and options. We were very happy with the quote, as it was significantly less expensive than competing quotes we received from two other companies. A quick trip to our local showroom with lots of options in our price range (more than competitors) made picking out the granite easy and we found a granite color that we didn't even know we wanted but that is absolutely perfect for our kitchen! The one price sink package with lots of options for sink size and faucets to choose from was an added bonus! We were also very happy that Colonial was able to schedule us so quickly! The installers were great! We were in awe of how quickly and efficiently they worked! And while they worked quickly, they also took the time to make sure things were done the right way. They did not cut any corners and talked us through a couple of quick decisions that needed to be made along the way, helping us to make the best decision for the most proper installation. They brought and used their own vacuum as they worked and did all cutting outside so we didn't have to worry about extra dust inside of the house. We have a fairly sizeable kitchen and they completed it in 3 hours. Our kitchen was transformed and we are very happy with the granite and the team at Colonial on all fronts to make this such a quick, easy and pleasurable experience!!! Thank you! more

Michael Goldstein went beyond our expectations !! We arrived at closing yet Michael stayed and worked with us until we were satisfied of our choose of granite. Which I might add is gorgeous... Poor Michael never got home till after 10pm, yet he made sure that we were at ease. \r Two days later just to be sure I went back to look at the piece, still satisfied I ended up speaking to Michael Amy Floor &Tile department, he also worked with me for a few hours to choose floor & back splash. \r 10 thumbs up for the staff ,pricing, helpfulness and for making completing our kitchen such a pleasant experience.... more

Marko is the best 10/23/2013

I wanted to let say how impressed I was with how Marko handled a tough install for me on Saturday. We had an island situation that was less than ideal, and him and his crew offered suggestions and assistance in improving the conditions. I also learned a few things that I will take into account on future jobs when it comes to seams and support. I certainly have a renewed appreciation for what the installers go through in the course of the day. \r \r This was the 2nd job Marko did for my company on Saturday (I have not seen the 1st job, but I am confident that it was done correctly). He was professional, polite, and accommodating. And I appreciated it very much. more

Best Sales Team! 10/18/2013

My wife and I have spent probably the last two years working with Rob in an attempt to find the right granite. He has displayed an incredible amount of patience and understanding, and I wanted to bring his skills and talents This is probably a very, very difficult process for most people, but I am sure it was painful for Robert, and he at no time displayed any of that frustration. \r \r We are looking forward to having the granite installed in the next two weeks, and I wanted to tell the wonderful job that Rob has done. more

Mr. Goldstein, a salesman at Colonial, was servicing another customer he took the time to arrange for one of Colonials's staff to be with us while he organized the slab to be viewed. He then went back to meet the needs of his other customer. He continued to check back with us to make sure our needs were being met. He appears to have a thorough knowledge of the products and was able to answer all the questions we asked. Mr Goldstein turned what was beginning to be a good experience into a great one! more
