I purchased my Colonial granite countertop through my contractor. You guys did an excellent job, and I'm highly recommending your company!

Worst

I regret purchasing my granite from Colonial Marble. I look at my kitchen coounters every morning and I just want to cry. This was supposed to be my dream kitchen and Colonial Mar...

My kitchen is gorgeous! Thanks Colonial. 8/13/2009

I recently remodeled my kitchen and it looks wonderful. I really enjoy my new countertops and my island looks great. It makes a great presentation station. I had a dinner party over the weekend and everyone was stunned with the granite I picked because it is very unique. Colonial has so many granite slabs and a lot of them are very exotic and interesting. I am very satisfied with my experience with Colonial from start to finish. Finally, I have been to several other granite shops in the area, yet their selection is limited. Don't believe the negative reviews that are posted here. Colonial has superior granite, it is definitely not substandard. Pros: Great selection Cons: I can't think of any. more

Do NOT believe the negative reviews 8/13/2009

Countertops installed August 12, 2009. Pros: Outstanding customer service, workmanship & professionali more

Don't go here! 8/10/2009

These guys made my counter top too small and when I complained, they told me it was not their fault even though they had a drawing with the dimensions. 2 months after they installed my sink, the soap dispenser came apart. Spend a few more bucks and go to someone who cares about what they do. Pros: Cheap Cons: Poor quality, terrible service, no after-sale service. more

VERY BAD EXPERIENCE! 7/30/2009

I am not happy with my new granite counters. The person who measured made a mistake with my island. He never told me that I was going to get a seam. He did not go over any details. The guys that did the installation did not speak any english. I couldn't communicate with them. They were yelling in Spanish back and forth to each other, while a third guy stood outside and smoked cigarettes. The seam in my kitchen really stands out. I wish I had gone to a company with more experience. Colonial Marble has only been in business for three years. Pros: large wareghouse Cons: very inexperienced employees more

Great Service 7/29/2009

I just want to let everyone know that Colonial Marble & Granite has left me so satisfied after my recent purchase of counter tops for my kitchen. I went to them because I saw the commercial on fox and couldn't resist the great $1999 deal. I had so many level one counters to choose from and got a faucet and double bowl sink with my order. After they did the template they installed my counters 7 days later and were so professional. It seems to me that these bad reviews have all been written by an employee who probably did something very wrong and no longer works there, and my question is John, what is your full name? You seem to be complaining that people dont put their full names and youre contradicting yourself by not doing so yourself. Adriana Kapetanakis Pros: Quality counter more

Fantastic overall experience 7/28/2009

I recently renovated my kitchen and added a large bar which required 62 sq feet of countertop. I went to Colonial because two of my very close friends recommended I go there based on their previous experience. One of those friends flips houses for a living and is fully dedicated to getting his countertops from Colonial. Colonial is the only company that he is dedicated to using repeatedly. I see some negative reviews on here and I'm baffled by them. Why would my friend repeatedly use them if it was a bad experience? Why would he and another friend tell me I should go there if they were anything but satisfied? I have only good things to say about Colonial. On the surface, the obvious benefit to using Colonial was the extensive selection of slabs. The inventory area of the warehouse is something like 50,000 sq ft, which is larger than a football field. It is absolutely insane how many stones they have there. Even if you aren't looking to install granite, it would be fun to go and browse through there just to see the huge selection and exotic stones. Below the surface, the customer service and sales help is phenomenal. I made two trips to the showroom before I even decided what stone I was going to use (I'm terrible at making decisions in a timely manner). Before I even entered the warehouse, the sales rep gave me a spreadsheet that told me the final price of each level of stone all based on my calculated surface area. So as I walked through the showroom I knew the final price of each stone if I were to have it installed in my kitchen. The rep walked me through and gave me some background info on the stones and then gave me as much time as I needed to browse. After I narrowed my selection list down to 5, I brought the face of my cabinets in. The rep gave me an honest opinion of each stone with my cabinets and pointed out things that only an experienced person would note. He even told me why my favorite stone wouldn't look good with my cabinets, and I totally agreed with him... I just needed someone to point out the reason. The installation went well and now I adore my kitchen. My bar is 13 feet long, which is longer than the largest stone they have, but the fabrication guys took the time to match the pattern closely. My stone is very veiny and colorful, so it is tough to match the pattern and the color, but they did an exceptional job. I don't know why some people have left negative reviews, but all I can speak for is my experience and I can honestly say I can't imagine the guys at Colonial treated those few people the way the review claims. Something isn't genuine with those reviews. Colonial has tons of customers that have all been referred or heard by word-of-mouth as well as repeat buyers... you do the math. Pros: Competitive prices, insane amount of choices, friendly srvc Cons: You'll be fatigued after browsing the GIANT warehouse more

ABSOLUTELY HANDS DOWN GREAT SERVICE AND PRICES ANYWHERE 7/23/2009

ABSOLUTLEY THE BEST DEALS ON GRANITE ANYWHERE! \r I recently re-did my kitchen, bathrooms, and also my basement bar with new granite from Colonial Marble. I went to there showroom in KOP and was very impressed and satisfied with the high level of customer care that I received, I am a doctor and know the importance of customer service, they made me feel as if I was family and made my experience one that I would want everyone to know. It seems that in todays business people have forgotten what truely makes a great company great. Colonial is truely one of a kind in every aspect. I would highly recomend them to anyone. I quoted a few local granite companies and spoke to alot of representatives, and saw a large difference in prices, I was actually alittle shocked that the best service came with the lowest and best price, ussually it is the opposite, so I would like to tell the owners they are doing a great and wonderful service. I loved the prices so much I had them do my office and and ac more

ABSOLUTLEY THE BEST DEALS ON GRANITE ANYWHERE! 7/23/2009

I AM WRITING THIS BECAUSE I CANNOT BELIEVE WHAT I AM READING! THESE NEGATIVE REVIEWS ARE BY FAR NO TRUE, THEY SOUND SO MUCH ALIKE AND IT SEEMS LIKE THEY ARE FROM ANOTHER GRANITE COMPANY AND NOT A CUSTOMER! Well I am a customer and Pros: GREAT SERVICE< PRICES ANYWHERE Cons: TOO MANY GRANITE SLABS TO CHOOSE FROM;) more

The best place for granite and marble! 7/20/2009

I am so impressed with Colonial Marble and Granite. My husband and I have visited other four other showrooms. We were indecisive as to buying granite because it is an expense, but when we came visited Colonial, we were absolutely stunned by the fabulous variety of slabs. I saw their television ad and was really curious and called them. I made an appointment and had an appointment with Pamela for the following day. The woman whom I spoke with over the phone was really accomodating with my schedule. Unfortunately I do not remember her name. Pros: Diverse selection and friendly employees more

WE WANT TO THANK OUR SALES PERSON TEDDY WHO GUIDED US THROUGH THE ENTIRE PROCESS. THE TEMPLATER WAS EXTREMLY KNOWLEDGEABLE AS WAS THE INSTALLATION CREW. FROM START TO FINISH MY PROJECT WAS COMPLETED IN 7 DAYS. COULD NOT HAVE BEEN MORE SATISFIED. Pros: 7 DAY START TO FINISH,GREAT SERVICE!!!!! more

If you want a beautiful kitchen GO HERE! 7/13/2009

I went into Colonial with my husband in April and we were helped immediately. We became a little overwhelmed because they had so much to choose from.... We finally chose metallica gold granite and had our entire kitchen and island done. I have never been so satisfied with anything I have remodeled in my home. The installers, sales people and customer service of colonial are exceptional. The prices are extremely reasonable and i havent stopped receiving compliments by friends and family on how beautiful my kitchen countertops look. My husband and I returned to colonial in June and had our kitchen, living room, and dining room floors covered with marble. My home is small but now looks more elegant and expensive and I owe it all to Colonial. We highly recommend this place!!!!! more

DO NOT GO THERE!!!! 7/8/2009

I am so unhappy with Colonial Marble. I should have known that something was fishy when I first went there. I felt like I was at a used car lot. Before I even had a chance to look at any slabs, their sales people were pressuring me to give a deposit. Looking back I feel so stupid for not catching on. This company does not care about customer sevice. All that they care about is getting your money. I went there because of an ad that they were running. When I got there they said that the special price was only good for three different colors. I didn't like any of these colors. There was one that I liked, but they told me that it was out of stock. Looking back, they probably lied so that I would pick something more expensive. The granite that I picked was over six thousand dollars. I originally thought that I would be spending under two thousand. Now you see why I feel stupid. The real problems started after I gave a deposit. The first person that came to my house to measure was very rude and did not care to answer any of my questions. He was throwing his cigarette butts all over my yard. When the guys arrived with my new counter tops, I noticed that the color wasn't as dark as the slab that I saw at their warehouse. They told me that it is my lighting. My counters also had this huge black spot right next to the sink area. The worst part of the installation was definitely the seams. I thought that I would only have one seam, but for some reason I ended up with two very ugly seams. When I asked the installer why there are two seams, he couldn't even tell me. I could not get any one on the phone at the office, to go over my complaints. The installers told me that if I didn't pay in full, that they would have to remove all of the new counters. I had no choice, but to pay the balance. I will never go back to Colonial Marble. Their customer service is the worst! Pros: Don't get fooled by their large facility! Cons: They are a very dishonest company! more

EXCELLENT SERVICE & VERY SATISFIED CUSTOMER 7/6/2009

Our countertops were just installed and we couldn't be happier that we chose colonial marble & granite. We visited their showroom and were amazed at the selection. It took us a while to choose and were so thankful that we weren't rushed, in fact, they moved slabs around for us even placing our two top choices next to each other so we could decide. This REALLY helped and their service was wonderful. Their technician that took measurements during the template was very helpful and took the time to explain and answer our questions which we really appreciated. The granite changed our entire kitchen and this was all thanks to Colonial's great service. Very nice people that care. Great experience overall!!! thanks, Maritsa & John Pros: VERY PROFESSIONAL, FRIENDLY, GREAT PRICE & SLAB YARD more

GREAT EXPERIENCE!! SIMPLE & FAST 6/27/2009

This place is amazing!!! You can't even imagine the amount of stones at Colonial until you actually see it with your own eyes. There were like 30 isles of the most beautiful granite slabs we have ever seen. As if you were in a museum filled with God's art! Our installation was completed in one week as promised and everything went flawless! These guys are great and I've been around to see many shops but nothing compared or prepared me for what I saw at Colonial! Great price followed by superior service! If you're getting granite you must visit Colonial Pros: UNBELIEVABLE AMOUNT OF STONE CHOICES!! Cons: None experienced more

Above and Beyond - Workmanship, Customer Service, and Price! 6/27/2009

Recently we finished renovating our kitchen, the final piece were the counter-tops. We visited about 7 local granite fabricators in Philadelphia and the surrounding area and made the final decision to choose Colonial Marble and Granite. Without question, my wife and I couldn?t have been more impressed and satisfied with our decision. In my experience the best choice to purchase something is when a business/salesperson values you as a customer and not just a price tag. I came into each location with a budget and a picture of what I wanted. Some places were close to our budget (nice) or went over it (not so nice). When I went to Colonial, they were not only focused on our budget, well below it, but more so on us as customers. They took us to their warehouse, WOW is an understatement, by far the largest we have ever visited, and gave us more options than we could have ever imagined. Who would have thought so many colors existed! We never knew there were so many different stones and even better, the lighting was GREAT! Not only did they do an excellent job and working with my selection but they came in on average 30% under everyone else quotes and had the largest selection by far to choose from. We came out with a better stone, free sink and faucet. Most impressively, they turned fabrication , delivery, and installation around in one week! The installation turned out fantastic and let me also say, these installers were professional, work was exceptional and treated us and our home with extra care. The best price, installed in 1 week, by far the best selection, and great service from the initial sale to the technicians and installation! All and all i will have to say this was a great experience and without a doubt, Colonial will be receiving many referrals from us! Thank you to the entire Colonial Team and extra thanks to Pamela our sales person!!! Tina and Todd Cons: Too Many Options - Too Confusing but they make it EASY!!! more

My Granite 6/11/2009

We want to thank everyone at Colonial for such a wonderful experience! The thought of having the kitchen counters re-done was a bit daunting. You made it like a walk in the park. Everything was totally completed within 7 days of me picking out the granite. Pros: The amount of slabs you have onsite to look at. more
