Best

Awsome school and awsome instructors, will teach you everything you need to know to pass for your license. The instructors are so nice and helpful. Recommend this school to anyone

Worst

The man answering the phones was very rude and aggressive. I was very angry when I got off the phone, but since I know the school has different drivers, I figured I'd stick with t...

Editorial review from Citysearch 1/16/2014

I just passed my test today! James was my instructor ! He is brilliant! Very calm & very efficient!! James has a really good way of teaching! After 15 years of driving in Ireland I can finally say I can reverse park aka parallel park!!! Thanks to James! I would advise anyone using this school to ask for James! Good luck! LC x more

ghastly! 10/1/2011

Worst than eh. Vitaly was rude, called me a bitch. Stopped for bank, stopped for gas. What the hell, it's my time. I had to cut the lesson short and get my $ back. Got mad because I asked a question and was nervous. Just ridiculous. This business is a joke. I ended up taking lessons elsewhere with a nice patient Jamaican guy. People like Vitaly should not be teaching anybody. Horror show, will scare your teenager, especially a girl for life from driving. more

Very good school 9/27/2011

My husband and myself chose this school because they organise road tests on Saturdays which was crucial for us. We both already held driver's licenses from our home country and only needed to know specifics about road test in the USA. We had 2 driving lessons and after that both successfully passed our road tests on the first try. Our instructors were friendly and professional. They taught us everything that we needed to pass a test. We had a very positive experience with this school. more

Awesome! 2/9/2011

Just finished my 10 hrs of driving lessons and ready to go for the road test exam. I came from a different country with an international driving licence thinking that it`s really easy to pass the road test in the US. After failing my test with the RMV I decided to sign up for some driving lessons. The closest for me was Brookline Drivind School. They picked me up for the driving lessons and then scheduled their saturday road test for me (I didn`t have to stay on hold for hours with the RMV). Their instructurs taught me all of the rules on the road in this country, which I have to admit are different, were really patient with me and now I`m looking forward to take my test and have a licence in this countrty! more

Great experience! 2/9/2011

I never drove a car before. That was my first exerience and I was extrimely nervious. I told the manager in their school that I was looking for a really PATIENT instructor cause I`m a total beginner and she said that it`s not a problem. I want to thank my instructors so much for the best experience that I could ever imagine. They were really nice and patient with me. Tought me everything I needed for the road test exam. After taking about 12-14 hrs. of driving I signed up for the road test exam and passed it from the first attempt. \r Thank you guys!!! more

Friendly instructors. Great patience with lessons! 2/6/2011

I've seen Brookling Driving School's cars all over the place in recent month's in the Newton/Needham area (i've been paying close attention), and this itself was enough for me to give them a call. They were real friendly, and actually the most important thing for me was that the instructor would have enough patience to start me off slow until I can start gaining the confidence I'm looking for when driving. The instructor did exactly that for me when I let him know that I was nervous, and after a few lessons, I felt like I was ready to take the test! I'm real happy that I got my license and was able to get past the initial fear of driving, thanks to this school! I highly recommend them. more

Great school 11/23/2010

It is a great school. Instructors are very good and I passed the exam the first time. My instructor was Manny. He was always very polite,on time, paid attention to my driving and not talked on the phone like I seen instructors from other schools doing( Previously I took few hours with other school in Cambridge and I did not like it: the instructor was talking all the time on the phone and would not pay attention at what I was doing plus would not let me to use the mirrors??!!!) I really recommend Brookline Driving School to other people. The cars used by this school are almost new and very clean.I did not have problems to schedule appointments and I had not cancelation from the school instructor. I learned everything I need to know for the exam : rotaries, intersections, parking lateral, parallel, turns etc. No screaming . Brookline Driving School is an excellent school. more

Poor Business Practices 7/29/2010

I swear these people just want your money and not much more. Ridiculous phone practices and abusive and curt receptionist. AVOID. Cons: Terrible customer service, no business sense more

Very Bad 7/28/2010

Very bad driving school. They will call you and change the time that you previously booked and then no one will show up. \r Today, I waited for 2 hours and when I called no one attended the call. You leave a voice message and they will not respond. \r YOU WILL BE CHEATED, SO DON'T TRUST THIS DRIVING SCHOOL. Pros: all are cons Cons: all are cons more

Great Driving School! 1/12/2010

I had a great experience with this driving school. They came by to pick me up, showed me all the things that I needed to know for my road test (and after the lessions, I wasn't even that nervous anymore). They were really great with my questions.\r \r I decided to go with this school because they seem to be the most reputable driving school in the Newton-Needham-Brookline area (I was seeing their cars everywhere with their logos) plus I noticed during my research that they were contracted with many of the high schools to teach drivers ed etc. Their website says it all.\r \r I definitely recommend them to all my friends. Pros: friendly, experienced, helpful, reputable more

The most weird experience 12/19/2009

1. The driving instructor is very rude, aggressive and a liar. 2. 1st lesson: he was shouting, making me feel insecure and stupid. 3. the driving instructor loves $$$$$. not kidding. he schedule me a road test (im thankful) which he NEVER confirmed. I called 2 times to confirm my road test and the driving school receptionist said it was full. 4. he called me on the road test day at 10 am , claiming that i have a road test that morning and NEED to attend. 5. he also claimed that i need to pay the road test fee no matter if i take it or not. 6. he did not give me the possibility to explain myself and hang up the phone several time. So, do u want to have a driving instructor like this or one to bust your confident? This is ur choice!!! Pros: nothing Cons: wow.... wat an experience!!! more

driving school is an excellent choice 10/17/2009

This driving school is an excellent choice. The instructors took the time to really teach my son how to drive and got everything done in a timely fashion. Everyone there is very professional. I will be sending my other children to this school! Pros: Course finished in a timely fashion, awesome service, very p more

Beware of this Driving School 10/16/2009

BEWARE – I booked a 1.5 hour driving lesson having just moved to Boston from the UK where I have held a licence for the past 20 years.\r \r I found the instructor rude, impatient and aggressive and she didn’t even have the courtesy to introduce herself, nor the person sat in the back (still have no idea who he was). She also assumed that I knew where everything was in the car and seemed to get frustrated when I couldn’t move my seat back before driving off. I also don’t appreciate being called “honey” and given her rude demeanour, I cut the lesson short after 20 mins. I don’t expect my $60 refunded.\r \r Wish I had read these reviews bofore signing up !\r Pros: Pick up at home address Cons: Impatient and rude instructors more

Best way to go!! 10/14/2009

just finished using Brookline driving school and i gotta say that my experience was an exterely good one. They have good new cars, amazeing insructors that have experience teaching people how to drive. the first time i drove a car was with them and they gave me the confidence i needed, not only to learn how to drive, but also to pass the road test. i would recomend the school to anyone who is looking for the best! Even though it IS costly, driving is something you will need your whole life. So make sure to learn well the first time. Pros: door to door, nice cars, experienced insructors more

Beware of them!!! 9/12/2009

Beware of them .... they are only after money. They promise you that Road test would be easy if you sign up for Saturday tests. but it's not the case. Pros: Nothing Cons: your hard-earned money gone... more

I made the right decision with this driving school 9/10/2009

I wanted to find the most reputable driving school for my daughter, and these guys have been selected (over all other driving schools) to personally instruct their students everyday (Needham High, Newton North etc) and I figured they had to be good. They were great. Not only was I so happy to see that my daughter was looking forward to her driving lessons, but I felt safe with the high quality vehicles (you see them everywhere around here in Newton). I knew I was in good hands. Their website provides all the info you need to get started ASAP. My daughter passed the test! Great job guys. Pros: reputable, well-known, friendly more

Fake reviews 7/30/2009

These guys do like to post fake positive reviews themselves. So do not trust review with lots of exclamations and capslock. The probability they are fake is great. Pros: Liars more

Yelled ate when it was their fault 7/1/2009

They called and asked were I was bc my time was scheduled for 530 and they called and said 500 then she didn't believe me so I had tonplay her the message. Don't u people know the customer is always right. more

Good Driving School... 5/16/2009

I just passed my RD test this morning, it was relax and easy. I took it with ease. When I was waiting there, it was little bit nervous, but sooner, it is just easy to do so for the test. The school is helpful if you have experienced how to drive. I had driving experiences in other country for 5 years, but i still get their 5 hours lessons for knowledge rd test, it's cost $ 300, little bit pricy. However as soon as you knew how to drive, you will have fun for practicing with instructors and pass test easily. then if you are a new driver, you may not get confident from them but nervous. probably the way they speak, i think... Pros: door to door service Cons: some instructors are impatient.... more

Great Driving Place ever 5/11/2009

I have been hoping to get a drivers license for a long time, but was afraid that I won't have the time and fail it. I've already had one back at home in Korea, but with a hour and a half practice and with easygoing practice I was able to pass it in one time. If you want to get your licenses and want to learn properly but without stress. This is the place you should go. Especially those who live close by. Its the BEST. Pros: Easy, clear instruction, comfortable environment, sincere, Cons: nothing more
