Best

Awsome school and awsome instructors, will teach you everything you need to know to pass for your license. The instructors are so nice and helpful. Recommend this school to anyone

Worst

The man answering the phones was very rude and aggressive. I was very angry when I got off the phone, but since I know the school has different drivers, I figured I'd stick with t...

Not Good and Not Recommended 4/27/2007

I cannot recomend anybody to take classes with this foolish school. Actually, they are operated by two brothers of Russia. The elder one is very rude, unhelpful and unprofessional, although yonger one is better. The school system is really bad and unsystematic. All prices are not good, and servise was horrible-just a nightmare!!!!. more

Highly recommend 4/25/2007

I just finished the course with BDS and do not understand why some reviews which are written bellow are negative. It seems as though it has been written by the same person. I cannot agree with those comments. The instructors are very patient and helpful. Considering the fact that I never drove before and was extremely nervous when I sat behind the wheel, the instructors made it seem very easy and I passed my driving test on the first go. Overall I am extremely pleased with the instructors and also with the cars, all the once that I was driving were new. I would choose this school again in a heart beat.\r Also the convenience and the flexibility for scheduling the classes were very good. When I called the school there was always someone there to answer the phone even on the weekends.\r more

Not Recommend 4/24/2007

They did not even teach me about basic skills for a good driver. If you already know how to drive and just need a license with your $ 300, it would be acceptable. However, If you really want to know how to drive, please avoid this school clearly. Or you will regret your choice like me. more

highly recommended BDS, especially for new drivers 4/11/2007

I am new driver. I previously had bad experience with other school and my friend recommended to try BDS. They guide me through the entire process of driving. \r Instructor was very kind and patient. He teach me not just what I need to know to pass driving test but skills I need to be good and safe driver. I was able schedule classes at time that was convenient for me.\r I got my driving license after my first road test exam. Also they have brand new cars - Toyota ""Camry"". I highly recommended BDS, especially for new drivers. more

absolutely horrible 4/9/2007

the instructors should learn some manners and should *teach* you to drive instead of yelling all the time. absolutely not recommended for new drivers especially if you're on the road for the first time! more

Do NOT Recommend! 3/28/2007

I cannot understand why any new driver would want to choose this school, or even write a good review about it. Very unprofessional. What is more, for people who claim to be experienced teachers, they did not even provide me with the basic skills needed to become a confident driver that every beginner should know, such as hand over hand turning. I found out just how bad they were after I switched driving schools and had other instructors. If you really want to know how to drive and be confident, please avoid this school at all costs! \r more

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID 3/3/2007

Please AVOID this school. I thinks the reviews below are quit unfair and not true. This school, from my bad experience, is not so good like they said. Most Instructors are mean and unkind. I think it is not worthy of money, not helpful to new drivers. Pros: door to door service Cons: bad skills, bad instructors more

Thank you Nancy:) 2/26/2007

I recently did my classes during school vacation and Nancy was my teacher. I never thought I could have so much fun doing Driver's Ed. Not only did I learn what I needed to to be a licensed driver, but I actually looked forward going to class! She knew her stuff, made classes interesting, and was entertaining. My instructor in the car was Richard and he too taught me so much. I would highly recommend Brookline Driving School. Pros: classroom teacher Nancy, instructor Richard Cons: rude person answering phone more

brookline driving school 2/26/2007

The best thing about Brookline Driving School is the classroom instructor Nancy. She is so vibrant, funny, and ready to help. I couldn't have passed the test without her help and support. I HIGHLY recommend this driving school over all others in Boston! Thank you Nancy for making Drivers Ed fun. I was never bored thanks to you! Pros: Nancy, great cars Cons: rude manager more

A driving school that delivers results! 1/12/2007

Brookline Driving School gets results -- end of story. They hire extremely capable instructors, especially Steve, who are very patient, help you learn the basics quickly, prepare you well for what's on the road test, and above all, who make learning to drive stress-free and enjoyable. Making appointments was a breeze and the instructor was always on time for lessons. Handouts with procedures to start the car, parallel park, and a make three-point turns were extremely useful in making those maneuvers easy to perform. Their arranged road test was very convenient to schedule and it definitely helped taking the test in the same type of car that I had practiced driving in. Overall, a great experience -- I highly recommend Brookline Driving School! Pros: Flexible at scheduling lessons, patient and extremely capable instructors more

Excellent Driving School 12/19/2006

Brookline Driving school is amazing. I highly recommend BDS. They tought me and all my friends to drive, and the rules of driving, while having fun. Brookline Driving School is dedicated to their students, and only want to help. In my case, since I am a foreigner, I had special constraints, and they were very glad and quick to accomidate them. Bottom line, Brookline Driving School is the way to go. Pros: calm teachers, friendly, calm, flexible schedule Cons: nothing! more

Not Recommended 12/18/2006

This school is not helpful to a new driver. From my bad experience, I cannot recommend this school to any new bostonians. If you are looking for good driving school, look for other schools such as city auto. This BDS is a kind of school that steals your money and time. I highly caution any new driver-especially foreigners. more

Awesome driving school- calm instructors and patient with nervous drivers 12/14/2006

i have to say that i had a very good experience with this driving school. I have taken driving lessons at other schools and this one is by far superior to all others. first off, the instructors are kind and curteous and very calm. I would specifically recommend Ilya and Vitaly for their patience and excellent defensive driving skills. they prepared me for the road test as well as 'real life"" driving. they were always on time and the prices were comprable to other schools. as a very nervous driver i feel confident now to drive my 2 young children fun places. thank you brookline driving school for giving me my independence. Pros: on time, patient and calm instructors more

best school 12/13/2006

The Brookline driving school staff were very helpful about accomodating my schedule, including having weekend, early morning, and evening classes. They were also flexible about scheduling classes without too much advanced notice, as my work schedule is frequently subject to change. In addition, my instructor is fabulous . He's also very prompt and he takes his job seriously. They were very pleasant. I'm sure that there are many good schools, but I'm very happy with my experience with Brookline Driving School more

Very Unprofessional School 12/7/2006

Very unprofessional school and they did not even teach me about basic skills for a good driver. They seemed not to know how to teach-just yelling and shouting. If you already know how to drive and just need a license with your $ 300, it would be acceptable. However, If you really want to know how to drive, please avoid this school clearly. Or you will regret your choice like me. Pros: door to door service Cons: mean instructors, ineffective education system more

Not good, Not Recommended 11/30/2006

I can't understand what any good reviews mean for this school. This school is notorius for its bad instructors and system. Any -usually newcomer to Boston- driver should be very careful to choose this school. more

Good with the right instructor 11/29/2006

I actually had a pretty good experience with this school, although I haven't anywhere else to compare it with. I had never driven before, and my main instructor was patient and helpful, and above all, able to calm me down which helped alot. He explained the rules of the road pretty well and repeated certain things to the point where I won't ever forget them. I liked it that they could pick you up at your place, depending on where you lived, and are flexible with lesson times. The vehicles used are also relatively new and in good condition. However, I did have one lesson with another instructor who was less helpful, more brusque, and a little more aloof. So it seems that the quality of lessons might depend on who your instructor is. \r \r The road test was easy. They bring in a state trooper if you do it with them, and I passed on my first try. It might be a little pricey - $100, but it's pretty easy to pass. Still, the instructor didn't recommend I take the test until he saw that I really was able to drive safely. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience learning how to drive with this school. Would recommend it. Pros: vehicles in good condition, rules of road explained adequately, patient instructor, easy road test Cons: different quality of instructors, a little pricey more

best school 11/22/2006

I previously had a terrible experience with other auto school and was recommended to try out Brookline driving school instead. Was very happy with them- the instructor was super friendly, extremely helpful, and definitely knew his stuff. They won't recommend you for the exam until they know you're ready, and they work very hard to teach you the stuff so you'll pass your exam the first time. Very professional staff, very well priced. Definitely worth it especially compared to other school. more

Thank you Brookline Driving School! 11/21/2006

Staff is very flexible, knowledgeable and accommodating. All the instructors I've had at Brookline Driving School arrived on-time. They guide you through the entire process of getting your driving license, plus all the cars are new. I got my license after my first road test. Thank you Brookline Driving School! I highly recommend them! more

FANTASTIC driving school! 11/17/2006
