Best

Awsome school and awsome instructors, will teach you everything you need to know to pass for your license. The instructors are so nice and helpful. Recommend this school to anyone

Worst

The man answering the phones was very rude and aggressive. I was very angry when I got off the phone, but since I know the school has different drivers, I figured I'd stick with t...

Definitely Do NOT Recommend! 11/16/2006

I cannot understand why any new driver would want to choose this school, or even write a good review about it.\r \r The office manager is passably civil, but the instructor Richard was rude, literally shouted at me every time I made a mistake (this is not an exaggeration), was extremely impatient, and stopped at least 2 or 3 times each lesson to buy food or drinks at convenience stores while you waited in the car. Very unprofessional.\r \r What is more, for people who claim to be experienced teachers, they did not even provide me with the basic skills needed to become a confident driver that every beginner should know, such as hand over hand turning. I found out just how bad they were after I switched driving schools and had other instructors. \r \r If you already know how to drive and just need a little extra practice, this school might work. But in that case, why not just borrow a friend's car and have the friend accompany you? If you really want to know how to drive and be confident, please avoid this school at all costs! Pros: The instructors arrived on time Cons: instructors are rude, impatient, and don't really teach you the skills needed to become a confident, defensive driver more

Unfortunately, Not good and Not recommended 11/12/2006

This school is generally not good. Although they say they are honest, kind, and effective, their system and instructors are not good. They want your money, not interested in your driving skills. So, you need to pay a lot for a license. I, definitely, recommend new drivers to seek other schools. more

Not Recommend for foreigners or new drivers 11/10/2006

Unfortunately, I had a lesson from this school because at that time I had little information on this school. From my experience, this school is not good for new drivers. General manager is very rude. more

IT WAS GREAT TIME!!! 10/17/2006

I am forginer in U.S.A. I tried got lisencd before. I registored another Driving School. But, they are so rud and angry so much. so, I lost money at another school.\r But, my freind intropduced Brookline Driving School. They are SO GOOD!\r I appericiade to Brookline Driving School. I learnded everything abot driving and spend really good time with Brookline Driving School.\r I got the lisence rigth nowiIt is really amazing!! I can drive my car!) . \r If u want to learn driving I willing to recomedation this Brookline Driving School. Pros: parking, service Cons: service more

Amazing Driving School 10/13/2006

OKay. I just got my liscence and I learned everything I needed to know for the test. I knew everything. ALso if you pay you can use their course which is so much easier than going to the RMV and you do not have to wait as long. The drivers are all very nice. All the ones I got joked around as we drove and just had a good time. Also the class time is excellent. If the class stays quiet and they teach you what you need to know you can go. Everyones really nice. But when you call just make sure you know your schedule for scheduling driving lessons. Pros: teaching, driving, comfortable more

Good value for money and convenient 10/13/2006

I had a great instructor from this driving school. This school has a few instructors, and naturally, not everyone is great. He took time to explain everytime I made a mistake and was very patient. The instructor usually picks up the client at their home, but may ask you to meet him somewhere else. That was the case for me.\r \r I especially like the fact that clients are allowed to take the driving test on Saturday morning. Brookline Driving School provides the car, and a state trooper is present. It is a very convenient arrangement.\r \r I will definitely recommend this school to anyone who wants to learn how to drive. Pros: good instructor, decent car, convenient driving test arrangement Cons: instructor did not pick me up :( more

Avoid this school-Not Recommended 10/7/2006

I thinks the reviews below are quit unfair and not true. This school, from my ban experience, is not so good like they say. Most Instructors are mean and unkind. I think it is not worthy of money, not helpful to new drivers. more

What a mess!. 10/6/2006

I cannot understand other guys below. From my recent bad experience, brookline driving school is not recommended for any new driver. They are unkind, unfaithful, and low quality. please avoid this school for your safety and monety. Pros: door to door service Cons: poor service, poor skills, poor car more

best driving school 10/2/2006

I highly recommend this school to everyone. My instructor was very nice, friendly and experienced. I always was able to schedule classes at time that were convenient for me. I got my license after my first road test. It was great experience. Pros: friendly, professional more

Great Driving Instructors! 10/2/2006

Brookline Driving School instuctors are patient and articulate, and taught me-a native New Yorker who's never had a driver's license-to drive well within ten hours! I'm so lucky I found them through the recommendation of a friend, since the other folks at schools I called for information were barely able to communicate. All the instructors I've had at Brookline Driving School arrived early and on-time, and dropped me off back home too. I highly recommend them too! Pros: Great Driving Instructors, Good and Clean Cars more

Best Driving School around by far 10/1/2006

I took 10 hours with this school, never driven a car before in my life. All my instructors (4)were very nice. Instructors were very friendly, patient and expirienced. All my lessons were informative and helpfull. We drove on the small road and in Downtown Boston (was an exellent practice).Their cars , i think were brand knew toyotas. I PASS MY ROAD TEST on first try. Recomend to everyone to take lessons with them. Pros: Pick up, patient, friendly Cons: hard to get through on the phone more

Avoid this school 9/28/2006

From my unhappy expreience in this school, I highly caution anyone who want to take a class in this school. The system and instructors are quite bad, uneffective, and not helpfule to new driver. Don't waste your time and money more

Very unsatisfactory experience 8/27/2006

I had a very bad experience with this school, almost entirely due to the instructor. He was impatient, rude, condescending, and very unprofessional. When I told him I was nervous since I'd never driven before, he actually said he didn't want to hear it since he was there to teach me, not to counsel me! He made me drive in Kenmore Sq. during a Red Sox game in my first hour (!) and then yelled at me for panicking and kept saying things like ""You will never pass your driving test!"". Way to go to encourage a young driver! In addition, he was on his cell-phone for part of the lesson, and at one point, he had me pull over so that he can say hi to some people he knew. It may take me a little longer to learn, but when it comes to driving I would much prefer to be ""home-schooled"" than use this school again! more

Excellent Driving School!!!! 8/21/2006

I highly recommend this school to anyone first learning how to drive! The instructors have the patience of saints and teach you not just what you need to know to pass the driving test, but skills you need to be a good, safe driver in general. I have had a wonderful experience and feel very confident behind the wheel now. Across the board, a great experience! Pros: Home pick-up, flexible scheduling more

Not Recommended 8/10/2006

A kind of Betrayal. \r Actually, I spent five hundred dollars to get license in this school. This school is very ineffective and most instructors are very mean and rude. I don't recommend this school to anyone. Pros: pick up service Cons: mean instructors, ineffective education system more

Flexible hours, home pick up, patient and accomodating instructors 8/3/2006

I have had an absolutely great experience with the school and would higly recommend it. Very surprised by the negative reviews on the site because found the instructors and the owner to be very polite, patient, and accomodating. The driving instructors give you detailed feedback on your performance in a supportive and educational way. Every instructor has a slightly different approach to teaching but everyone is highly helpful. I found that asking for the same instructor for most of my driving lessons worked best for me. I always was able to schedule classes at times that were convenient for me. The home pick up is very convenient and I was always picked up on time. The 5-/10-hour packages are very convenient and allow you to save a bit of money. Overall - a solid and pleasant experience. Would not look anywhere else for driving lessons. Pros: flexible and weekend hours, home pick up, patient instructors more

Worst driving experience ever 7/27/2006

I wanted some extra driving practice, so I went for a trial lesson at the Brookline Driving School. It was a disaster! The instructor, Flora, was incredibly rude. I told her I was from out-of-state and had moved to Boston for school. After that, she would answer my questions in exasperated tones saying things like, ""Well, in this state, we..."" By the end of lesson, my nerves were shot and I was driving worse than before. Unless you want a drill sergeant with an attitude, find another driving school! more

The school is far more honest and forthright than most, and I would vouch for them anytime. 7/26/2006

I've seen more than 600 kids go through Brookline Driving School's programs here in Newton (I administer the contract for this City) and I've had almost no complaints in two years of experience. The school keeps its word, gives its students great classes, and has an excellent reputation here in Newton. The owner is extremely flexible and tries to accommodate everyone. I've seen a number of schools in operation, and the sleaze factor is high. But not with this one. I'm impressed. more

nice trainers, just little complex on phone 7/18/2006

I took my driving class and its really nice and ontime. Trainer was very polite and have good technique of teaching driving. I found little rough on the phone when u first time contact them but thats might be i guess because they might not understand what what u r talking. But definitely improve on their phone interaction. I recommend it without any issue more

Friendly and covering all the bases - a great driving school! 7/6/2006

I did a lot of research to select the best driving school in the Boston area, and I realized soon after I selected Brookline Driving school that I made a very wise decision. I was able to work on the things that I was most concerned about for the test, and the instructor (very friendly!) was sure to cover all the bases with me, understanding what it took to not only pass the road test, but to be a good driver (passed the test!). \r Much thanks to the school. Pros: patient, helpful, friendly more
