Hands down this is the best driving school, period. Unfortunately I tried another school before Brookline Driving school (will not name them even though I should) and quickly switched after one lesson. It was the best move I could have made because the instructor at Brookline Driving School would take the time to explain everything I needed to know and was helpful with any questions I had. Brookline Driving School put me at ease with their patience and teaching abilities. The people that work there are real friendly, and took time to explain everything to me as I was learning how to drive for the first time. This school is a joke, terrible service. The receptionist guy is extremely rude and keep yelling at me, hang up on the phone immediately anytime I call to make change in schedule or cancel the booking a few days before the appointment. The instructor is extremely impatient and very rude as well. For a beginner, you will expected to be scolded for no reason while apparently they never put in any effort to teach you, talking on the phone most of the time and ask you to stop many times for him to meet people and buy stuff. They assume you know everything and you just pay them money to get the licence. The reason many people go to this school, and myself too, is because it was rummored to have a very easy road test on Saturday when you don't have to make 3 points turn, parrallel parking and just pay them 100 bucks, drive around the blocks and get the licence. That was when they can just bring in a state trooper for the test before july 2007. The test is now the same standard everywhere with civillian examiners and apparently with their terrible teaching, it's hard to pass the test. It was a complete waste of time and money and worst experience I've ever had. Stay away from this school, they just want to rob your money and thought that they give you a favor when they sign up class for you. Terrible! My instructor is very patient although there are times that he's late. But my overall experinece with this school is ok. more

I am a 100% satisfied customer with the service provided by this school. The staff was accommodating, patient and knowledgeable. I took driving lessons and passed the driving test within a couple of weeks. I highly recommend you ""Brookline driving school"". They do everything for you. Hello, Buddy. I have wasted 500 dollars for this school. without my license. They even couldn't teach me how to have a three-way turn. I regret that I have chosen this school. Hope everybody will not do the mistake that I did. more

Just got my LICENSE. It was great experience.... I was skeptical at first, because I read previous reviews..., but I was pleasantly surprised how professional and kind instructors were. I never drove before. They tought me from scratch...I would recommend every one to take classes with this school. If you listen and willing to learn, they will teach you. I though that I'll take a few lessons and drive (how hard cam it be?), boy was I wrong...They made me a good driver, and I?m confident that they will help you too..... I used Brookline Driving School to get ready for my driving test. The instructor was prompt and helpful. He made sure to let me know when I could be doing things better, but he was never harsh or mean about it. He took me through the driving course that the school uses, so I would be as prepared as I could be for the test. He also taught me some defensive driving techniques, to better my skills down the road. I would definitely recommend this school to anyone that wants to pass his/her driving test on the first try. I went to another driving school paid for five one hour lessons and took the road exam I didn't pass. Even worse I found out that my instructor from was giving me the wrong information about the road exam and most of all I lost confidence that I could pass the test. That damn school was so expensive. I won't even publish those crooks prices! Then I found out about BrooklineDriving School...I was skeptical after the previous ordeal with the other school. I signed up for five lessons . Vitaly schedule all my classes close to my road test appointment. I struggled so hard with parallel parking but after my very first lesson with Brookline school, I was able to parallel like an experienced driver. I worked with Ilya and he whipped me into shape . I used the same car for the road test and passed! I wished I had went to Brookline Driving School first, they were very affordable, worked with me on the problems I had as a new driver, and excellent customer service. Secretary always called me ahead of time to remind me of my appointments, I will miss those calls now. If you get very nervous or are bad at taking tests, then you need to come to Brookline driving school. Driving and you will be more confident about passing the road test. They say its 1 hour lession but after 30 mintus (exact 30 min) your instructure literally tells you that its time to go pick up another student. And don't you dare say anything because your instructor will yell at you. \r \r For me I took the lession just to practice parallel parking with professional to be more confident during the road test. I attempted once with her and thats it, my 30 minute was up. When I requested if I can try one more time since we still have 30 min. she said ""no way, I don't have time, I told you we gonna have to pick up another student, and you'll still be driving"".\r \r So, when you singn up you're signing up for pick-up and drop off too, which might work for some who just wants to spend more time behind the wheel. For me, I am driving all the time with a license holder in the car, and have a driving record of several years in another country. It certainly was a waste of money and time for me. Cons: not a good value for money @$35/half hr. more

I found brookline driving school on line. when i called to found out the prices and conditions i expected a lot of information, but it was so easy. they were very honest with me. i took 10 hours package of driving lessons. when i ask the instructor if i need more practice, he told me that i am not ready for my test and that i need more practice. after few more hours of driving with them they set the road test for me. i have to tell you it was so easy. I really appreciate Brookline driving school for their help. later i have found out that most of my co-workers took their lessons or road test with brookline driving school. as of customer service i think it was just fine. i would definitely recommend this school to everybody who want to learn how to drive. Really rude receptionist. You want to ask questions and they just hung up on you.\r Why don't they hire somebody who has people skills to answer the phone?\r They will start loosing all their customers if they act like this. Such a shame ! Cons: Very rude staff. Lousy customer service. more

I just got my license and I learned everything I needed to know for the test. I took 10 hours with this school, I never driven a car before in my life. I call to the other school , they have 10 hours packages too but it is not really 10 hours, they do 45 min instead 1 hour. The instructors have the patience of saints and teach you not just what you need to know to pass the driving test, but skills you need to be a good, safe driver in general. I always was able to schedule classes at times that were convenient for me. The home pick up is very convenient and I was always picked up on time. Thank you Brookline driving school. more

I cannot recommend this school, just because I was deceived by this school. They deceived me. I am a foreigner, so I had some difficulties to commute to Boston. I wanted to get my license ASAP. At that time, I chose this school because they offered me a door to door service. However, their driving skills were terribly low, I could not pass the test as expected. I was very upset because I paid 300 dollars for the school and they promised me to pass the test directly. Then, I moved to other school City Auto. I was successful there. From my experiences, this BSD is trying to get the money from foreigners or beginers or newcomers to Boston. If I know this site earlier, I would not choose this BSD and save my money. I hate this school. Please be careful, guys!. more

I have read all the reviews. It seems that the owner or his close friends wrote good reviews of this school. The truth is this school is notorious for its bad things. I also simply agree with that. The reception guy is very unkind, unhelpful, and just want to steal your money. In additon, many instructors of this school is not so skillful or experienced, this is another bad thing. Avoid this school if you can. more

Thought about getting my license for a while, friend recommended Brookline driving school. Person on the phone was very professional, straight to business with out any B.S. I got great instructions from Stephen and Elia. Got my license on first try. more
