Worst Lobster Ever!!!! 4/14/2012

We order a carryout which consists of queen size filet mignon and a lobster dinner. The lobster was overcooked and had no taste. I called and spoke with the manager who stated that what happens when you order lobster, I told me that was not true because we had ordered lobster five times within the last two months. He didn't care! I told him we received no steak sauce of butter for the lobster, they were just condiments (but needed for the food). Our carryout bill was $80 and to get no response. This will be our last time eating at Bogarts, we should have went to Red Lobster. more

They Don't do Aldente Pasta! 3/1/2012

I went for dinner with my mom; she ordered the pork chops, I the Florentine angel hair. They bring out a veggie appetizer tray, along with freshly baked bread. They dont give you an option of butter or olive oil like most decent restaurants would. We ordered a glass of Cabernet and it came in a hot glass, thus making the wine hot. The wine otherwise was very good. We had the french onion soup, it was salty and unoriginal. The pork chop was not at all seasoned, no flavor, and it was dry. The pasta was a definite loser; it was mushy, and the sauce was so loose and soupy. The spinach was not chopped for the florentine. The sauer kraut for the chops tasted like collard greens. Im never going back there, not even for free. more

Don't order the ribs!!!!! 1/18/2012

Had the 1/2 slab ribs. Nasty!!! No taste, way overcooked. Sauce was the worst that I have ever had. My son tried the ribs and said they were the worst that he had ever had. The waiter asked if I wanted a box to take the leftover ribs home. I told him to throw them away because they were bad. I only ate 2 ribs. You think that they would tell the manager that there is a problem with the food when a customer leaves 90% of the food ordered on the plate to be sent back. Never again. The place used to have good food. Total waste of time and money. more

Will not return 9/25/2011

I was very disappointed today. My family and I (7 of us) went to lunch here for my husband's birthday. Although the vegetable tray was good, not one of us enjoyed the food. Four of us had a beef dish and it had no flavor--my daughter never requests steak sauce until today. The fish was overcooked and the bacon was undercooked. I remember Bogart's when it was a great restaurant. What happened? more

this place has been competely screwed by their ""new"" managers. \r \r the food overall is horrible, with the exception of the vegetable tray, they don't have to cook it. \r \r everything else would be better coming from any, and i mean any soup kitchen. \r \r don't waste your time or money unless you just want a a drink in the dirty bar. more

After reading several recent reviews of this resturant I must admit I was somewhat apprenhensive about visiting this establishment. However, on Saturday, March 26, 2011 I took a chance and dined in at Bogarts.\r There was adequate parking, and a rather large population of patrons when we arrived. We were politely greeted once inside, and immediately greeted and seated at a nice table by the Manager! Shortly thereafter our server greeted us and we found her to be very warm and courteous as well. My wife orderdered a fillet steak and I swung for the fences with the Kings Cut! The steaks were prepared to our satisfaction and tasted very good too! Clean environment, warm & courteous manager and staff, very good dining experience! Semper Fidelis! more

It was actually raw, and even the manager acknowleged that fact. I ordered it medium. They got me another ribeye (30 minutes later) and it was medium, but a tough piece of meat. I attempted to negotiate with the manager, but she became crass, and basically told me I got a new steak, so there was nothing else she was going to do. I have never had a tough ribeye until today.\r This was the first and last time I will EVER go to Bogart's more

Good fatty steaks but awful wait staff! 12/19/2010

Bogarts is a decent steak house- typical mid-priced fare and usually very busy. The joy for me was a full blown steak dinner as a carryout! Woah! They do have some of the best beets (pickled with onions, mmmmmm!) in the relish dish and good bread to sop up the steak juice... Now, while Bogarts steaks are good (aged, charbroiled and thick!) they are fatty to boot. I always felt my arteries clog every time I went there and blood pressure would shoot through the roof from some of the rudest wait staff ever! If you go to Bogarts you'll be totally conflicted- do I like this place? I think I did, but, wait, staff are jerks but the food isn't bad... more

Too high priced for what you get mediocre everything! 8/24/2010

What happened to Bogarts? First, my husband ordered a martini and was told blue cheese olives were $0.75 extra each ! We ordered steaks and shrimp scampi. The steak was the same as other reviews. Charred on the outside and rare in the middle. The shrimp was served in the shells with garlic butter in a small plastic cup on the side.The double baked potato was like paste. I have tasted better out of the frozen food department in the grocery store! We asked the server to box some extra food and was handed a container and had to do it ourselves. We mentioned to the waitress there were lots of gnats flying around our food and she told us the management was aware of the problem and were trying to solve the problem. Uck. Food was only OK. Service was poor and place needed to be fumigated. more

Poor Customer Management 5/20/2010

On May 8, 2010 I was at Bogurts for my graduation, birthday, mother's day with a party of 12 people. We arrived a approximately a hour and and half early. These reservation were made two weeks prior.\r \r The reservations were made for 7:30 pm, at 8:30 we were still in the bar waiting, I spoke with the manager who stated that the party before us was approximately a hour late, the manager offered to place us at two different tables, which was totally unacceptable. The manager was not accomodating at all, he showed no concern for the situation. \r \r The waitress, brought out the meat and approximately 10 minutes later returned with the baked potatoes. We had three different checks on one of the checks it should have been charged the eighteen percent gratuity it was for six people but she charged the other two people eighteen percent also. I called the next day and to this day which is 05/20/10 we have not received a call back.\r \r I have never received this type of service from Bogarts, but in the future I will not consider you in the future, we have always come to Bogurts for special events.\r Pros: Great Food Cons: Untimely wait even though we made a reservation. more

Dinner with ""cockroach"" 1/2/2010

The food was decent, however we did not dine alone. Yes we had a little guest know as a cockroach have dinner with us. We told our waiter and he did take care of the little fella but only offered up a free desert. I believe managment should have paid a visit but never showed their face. I've dined at many restaurants and have never had this happen. I suggest you skip this place. \r Pros: None unless you think eating with a cockroack is okay Cons: COCKROACHES! more

Not sure what the buzz is all about with this place but definitely not worth the visit. The seating area is cramped, the tables are so close to each other you can literally hear the conversations from each of your neighboring tables. \r \r The catch for this place is to serve a steak that's the size of a small roast but unfortunately the quality of the meat is maybe a half step above what they serve at Applebees or Chillis and it's cooked only one way, burnt on the outside, rare on the inside. Six people in my party ordered steaks ranging from medium rare to well done. They all came out the same-burnt or as the waitress put it, ""charred"" on the outside and rare in the middle. The waitress acted like I just ran over her cat when I sent back my steak. \r \r The service is terrible. Very arrogant, condescending and down right rude. the behavior of the manager wasn't much better. Great steaks but service/management attitude stinks! 12/22/2008

This is the first time I've ever been told table time was limited. Not only that, the staff & management was really rude about it. Waitress kept bothering us to get us in and out quickly. When we complained, management came and told us it was true, we would have to leave as they only allowed 2 hrs to eat and we were late. Gratuity is mandatory 18% for parties of 6 and it definitely was not deserving. We barely finished our food when it was time to give up the table. So we asked to move to the bar for dessert & finish drinks, where the service was worse and we were pushed out by the Kareoke guy. The food was great, but who wants to be rushed. It would have been OK if we could actually enjoy the great food. They lost my business and referrals. i would have given the place five stars if it weren't for the management...they treat you like you are privlidged to be eating in their restaurant. not willing to correct wrongs with food. I have been to Bogart's Charhouse three times and I was not let down. The food is uncomparable. I am a steak lover and I have never a steak quite like this one before. The porterhouse is the baum. The service was good. On one occasion I had to wait about 30 minutes for a table but the food is worth the wait. I will be visiting again. more

This place was awesome!!!!! I got a cajun chicken pasta since I don't eat red meat - excellent flavor and huge portions. My husband's 3# porterhouse was cooked to perfection - med rare. He said it melted in his mouth. We've been back, will keep coming back, and haven't found anywhere else that compares in flavor, quantity, and pricing. $24.99 for the porterhouse with all the trimmings - now that's a deal! Wait staff is definitely hard to find when you need them. I'd suggest ordering pitchers of beverages or a couple at once, since you'll be long empty before you ever see the waitress again. Pros: Very Inexpensive, Quality of Meats/Food, Portions are HUGE Cons: Slow/Inept Service, No Reservations, Crowded Waiting Area more
