Horrible customer service. Block and Associates do not care about their tenants. Not only did the agent Emily leave off information about the house I rented (like the fact that it was in an HOA), but now that I'm moving out, I could be chopped liver to them. I get only a few hours notice for showings, even though I expressly told them I had a pet that would react to new people in the house. I receive calls at 6pm scheduling a showing for the next morning at 8. Completely unprofessional in my opinion. If you pay your rent on time (like you should) you'll never hear from them, but once you choose to not renew a lease, you'll basically lose all rights as a tenet in their eyes as their only priority is re-renting the house. more

My tenants had to move out of the property within two months and Joshua Furr helped find another tenant withinin a couple of weeks. He's very professional. Would recommend him. more

My family and me are renters and it's been a nightmare to get a response from Block & Associates. We have tried contacting several agents because our lease will soon expire, but we are not getting any response at all. We were going to renew, but have decided against it because the customer service has gone dramatically downhill. I have offered to take pictures of the home so they can get it online for another renter to take over, but still no response. We have rented for four years from them, but the past year has been very unsatisfactory as far as customer service. Silence can be very unsettling when there are issues to be resolved or problems that need to be taken care of with your rental house & there's no way to contact the actual owner. more

My Mother Sandra E asked me to come here and to tell about her experience with this company. Josh and his team were BEYOND AMAZING. They came by her house in the beginning and they did a walk thru and took a few pictures and things and told her what few things in the house that she needed to take care of and then within just like 2-3 days there were already calling her to say that they had someone interested in seeing her house ... WOW ... she had to show her house a few times before she got a renter but Josh and his team were soooo professional. They emailed her constantly and kept her posted and updated on all the ins and outs of everything. They were there when she called them to ask any questions. They were so patient and understanding and they really helped her out so much and just was there with her every step of the way until she moved out into her new house and the renters moved into her old house. Even after she moved out, they still have been contacting her and keeping her informed on everything and every step of the process. I am not sure what these kinds of companies are suppose to do exactly but as far as this company goes they have really beyond exceeded her expectations for them. I am definitely recommending you all to my circle of employees and colleagues at my job who are moving and looking to rent out their homes. FRAUDULANT Company. BEWARE - LANDLORDS! This company is quick to tell you anything verbally and then not provide you any documentation on the verbal agreement. I am currently filing a complaint with the North Carolina Commission on Block and Associates and on Sharon Schovian. I will do everything to keep this company either clean themselves up or shut them down! The agent that viewed my home was fired from Block and Block has been unresponsive to me. Your home is your hard earn investment and this company does nothing to but take your money and promise you a whole bunch of stuff verbally then when you have issues they are MIA. I had Karen Rullman hang the phone up on me! They have taken my money and don't return my calls. It is funny how Sharon - the owner can comment on this site to monitor her reputation and not return my numerous calls and emails. Read the comments of Landlords who tell you to be careful with this company - those are the real Landlords trying to help others from these scam artist. Any other Landlords dupped by Sharon please take the time to file a complaint with the North Carolina Realty Commission, here is the link to the form and it only takes a few minutes http://www.ncrec.state.nc.us/forms/rec401.pdf - Sharon has to respond to the complaint. My husband and I are relocating from the Midwest to the Raleigh area on May 1st for my business. If it weren't for Phil Wicker with Block and Associates knowledge of the area and attention to detail, I feel certain we would be lost and still searching. Unlike a few other rental agencies, Phil showed us homes that fit our needs without wasting our time. The Triangle is a complicated area for those who have never lived there and Phil made it quite easy for us to understand the area. For the record, we have two dogs and wanted hardwood floors, 1st floor master, fenced yard, updated bath/kitchen, etc. Not an easy task and rental houses are constantly coming and going in the Triangle so if you snooze you lose. The other agents were not nearly as attentive, or were pushy and very terse/quick, or just didn't get what we wanted in a rental home. Most of the time we were working at a real distance from the Midwest. Phil is kind, very patient, follows through and helped us throughout the entire process. After three months searching online with Phil and then a one week visit to Raleigh, we had decided upon a very suitable home. Extreme kudos go to Phil Wicker with Block and Associates. I would highly, highly recommend Phil for relocating professionals (or anyone, really!) who needs help finding a rental home in and around the Raleigh area. more
