Bent Tree Family Physicians: Ferguson Bryan MD

DO NOT GO HERE! I have been going to this office for a few years and I have tolerated the chaos but yesterday was the last time I will put my health in the trust of this medical facility. The front staff is clueless on what to do and I was given a NEW NURSE who has been working there for 4 days. She didn't even put me in a regular treatment room; rather, I was put in a back room with no where to rest my arm for blood. She had to sit on the exam table to take my blood and leaned over as I held my arm up for her. She gave me misinformation and ANOTHER nurse called me this morning to say I have to go back in and I should have known better to see the PA because ""that's what the notes say in my chart."" RUDE! RUDE! RUDE!!! I own two medical offices and have NEVER spoken to a patient this way. If the error falls on the new girl who wasn't trained properly, then don't punish the patient!! Good grief. more

Do Not Go Here! I went in for my annual which my insurance covers 100% but they did not verify what my insurance covers and ran teats that were not necessary - or covered by my insurance (obviously trying to get more money out of me). When I questioned the ""Amy"" in billing, she told me it was my responsibility to verify what my insurance covers and when I explained that I was not a doctor and would not know the questions to ask, she then started telling me it was Obamacare's fault. I finally ended the conversation (she was very rude and condescending). I called later and spoke to the office manager (Christy) and told her the entire situation. She promised to remove the extra charges from my account and to contact her if I ever received a bill. This was back in Nov 2013 and all has been well until today. I received a bill in the mail so I called Christy and guess what? She no longer works there. I guess they decided to start billing me after she left. I now have a call into the new manager. This is not about money. It is about principal. I am not a doctor, they are - they need to know what is covered and what is not covered. They need to stop charging people for services they don't need and they need to fire the billing ""Amy"" and hire someone who has class. more

I love Dr. Latta and have been going to her office for 10 years. I want to just post a warning, if you are offered a test that you are told, ""your insurance will cover it"", only to find out the insurance won't cover, they hold you responsible for the bill. I was very specific that I did not want the test if insurance would not pay and reassured me they would. It did not, now we are stuck with a $200.00. So, I would suggest ever having anything extra done unless you get in writing from you insurance company that they will pay. more

Dr. Culpeper and Bent Tree Medical are wonderful!!\r \r The care, compassion, and sensitivity they bring to all my visits are second to none. I’m given plenty of time to talk with the physicians and never rushed or feel like I’m just a ‘number’ waiting to be processed and passed on to the next patient.\r \r The physicians (especially Dr. Culpeper) are experienced and treat their patients with the best bedside manner. They are how all professional medical facilities need to run. Their staff is courteous and goes the extra mile for their patients. My family and I have been going to Bent Tree Medical for thirteen years now and I would recommend them whole heartedly without reservation for all medical needs.\r more

Bent Tree Family Physicians have been providing medical care for my family for over 10 years. During that time we have had the opportunity to see most of the Physicians and PAs on staff, with Dr. Ferguson and Dr. Latta being our primary physicians. \r Given that background, I can honestly recommend this practice to my friends and family without reservation. In fact, I discovered several of my friends are patients of Dr. Ferguson (and I am convinced that he saved the life of at least one of those friends). \r I have gone into that office feeling like I would have to die before I could feel better, but after a visit with Dr. Ferguson, Dr. Latta, or any of the PAs (particularly Sarah Gagliano!) I have left the office feeling ""on the road to wellness"". I attribute this to the excellent ""bedside manner"", ""sense of caring"", and the obvious desire to ""make me better"" of the entire team at Bent Tree. I can't leave out the nursing team at Bent Tree. Friendly, professional, and well skilled. They are the best in the business.\r If anyone is new to the area or just looking for a primary care provider that will listen to you, address the root cause of your issues, set you on the right course for your continued well being, I can't recommend anyone better than the team at Bent Tree. more

When I'm sick, I want Sarah.\r \r After a surgery, the daily dressing change was too painful, so I called Sarah. She saw me right away and calmly handled the daunting task with a competent and light touch - every day for a month. \r \r Several life events sent me into a tailspin when I went to see Sarah for an unrelated problem. She immediately asked, ""What's going on? You don't seem like your usual self."" As I sobbed through tales of woe, Sarah listened intently without judgement and asked questions with genuine concern. I told her why I was there today, then blurted out that I'd injured my wrist over a year ago and never sought treatment. While remedying today's ailment, Sarah created a wellness plan. My wrist is now 100% normal and the rest of me is better, too.\r \r Sarah's seemingly instinctive knowledge and vast medical expertise have guided me through varied ailments. My family and I would absolutely recommend Bent Tree Family Physicians. The doctors there are the most thorough physicians we have ever met. \r \r Their approach to preventative health has proven to be life changing. The various test (i.e. extensive blood work, etc.), which allows an in depth look into areas that may have previously been a health concern, but never offered by other physicians, has proven to be priceless.\r \r My daughter was admitted in the hospital and through modern technology, Dr. Latta's office was notified. We received a phone call from one of the professional staff members of Dr. Latta's office the next day to see how she was feeling. The call was very refreshing and encouraging to say the least. We were also reminded to make certain we scheduled a follow-up appointment after discharge.\r \r We have never had an experience with doctors that are so compassionate, caring and kind. Their medical degrees go far beyond practicing medicine, they make us feel that we are not simply a name on a chart in a pile of medical records, but a part of a medical family that is genuinely concerned about our over all well being. more

Sarah Gagliano is the most awesome professional PA-C hands down! A friend referred me to Bent Tree Family Physicians and by chance Sarah was assigned to me and I couldn't be happier.\r I have been going to see Sarah since June 2012 when my doctor of 12 years said he was not comfortable treating a common male hormone deficiently. She is extremely professional and patient in discussing (not dictating) my health concerns and options. Since then I’ve migrated the management of my other medical issues of concerns to her. She is helpful in the co-management of all my medical issues now, she listens to my concerns and suggested treatments, then offers up alternative options with reason (or may agree with my suggestion), she understand I want to have an active role in the management and treatment of my health. I have never felt rushed with Sarah, her assistants, or the office staff. She has a good sense of humor very personable in here demeanor. The front office is always just as helpful. I would strongly recommend Sarah and Bent Tree Family Physicians. more

I have been going to Bent Tree for about 15 years and being a male over 62 years of age there are usually multiple visits each year.\r \r On each and every time I visit Bent Tree everyone is polite, helpful, and caring - from the front office staff to the doctors. During the past five years the primary person I have seen at Bent Tree is Physicians Assistant Sarah G.\r \r I have never visited with a medical professional as caring, knowledgable, and willing to spend however much time it takes to discuss my issues and concerns. We started using Bent Tree over 10 years ago. They have the most compassionate doctors, PA's, and nurse staff that I have ever dealt with. Sarah is the best PA, hands down. She gave us the news when my wife became pregnant with our now 10 year old daughter, and when she was born, we requested that Sarah be her health care provider. Over the years, Sarah has helped me in so many ways, she always takes the time to listen. Sure there has been times when I did'nt do as she instructed, and she gave me the what for. But more times than not, she has helped our family with a level of care and compassion that you just can't find anymore! I just cannot praise the entire staff at Bent Tree enough. Our family decided to use Bent Tree due to the fact that Sarah G. (PA) could see everyone in our family and we've all had the same experience; fantastic. Our kids range in ages from 12-16 and my wife I have various health issues, but no matter what, we can always trust and rely on Sarah to care about us and help us find positive outcomes. The front office staff knows us by name, the nurses are friendly and caring and most of all we feel like Sarah is part of our extended family. There have been times we have seen other doctors or PA in the group (weekend visits) and we had the same experience. If you live in North Plano or Frisco, this is the group to see. The PA team at Bent Tree is the best in the U.S.! more

Great Doctors and PA's! If you're looking for top notch care for your family, this is the place to go. My family has been with Bent tree for over 10 years now. Sure, in that span of time we've had a couple of frustrating moments. But I would challenge anyone to find any business where there's never a glitch. Overall, this team of medical professionals are absolutely first rate. I for one am more than willing to work with them as they grow and face all the challenges of trying to operate a family practice. Folks need to realize how hard that is in this day and age. I know when I walk in to that office, I'm going to get in and out in very reasonable time, I'm going to get superior treatment from staff and doctors, and most importantly they are going to properly diagnose and treat or advise on whatever issue my wife, kiddos or I are dealing with. If those things are important to you, no need to look any further than Bent Tree! more

After 20 years of being a patient here, i am throwing in the towel. No qualms about the quality of service. Hate to change from Dr Ferason and his nurse practioners, but ihave had numerous issues with office staff. Final straw came when I called in under extreme distress to come in and all staff wanted to talk about was some old charge I apperently owed. Here I'm a 20 year patient in dire need of medical help and all I got was ""How do you intent to pay this charge. Turned out, I didnt owe anything and had to seek medical help elsewhere. Im done with them- Beware more

I am a fifteen year patient of Bent Tree Family Physicians. I will no longer go back. However, the culture has changed, from a billing perspective, and I can no longer remain a patient. I received the last phone call I ever want to receive from billing demanding and extra charge without a reasonable explanation. I've never written a review for any business of any kind, but the young lady on the phone could not have been less concerned and inadvertently insulted the memory of my late father. Bent Tree has every right to run their practice as they see fit, for fifteen years they appeared to be above all the petty semantics you find in so many medical offices. In my opinion the practice has gravitated toward everyone else and I can find that anywhere. more

I have the best insurance money can buy. “Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO with an almost unheard of deductible of only $250 a year.” It’s insanely high and there are so many hidden cost in this office, my insurance is never enough. Every time I go in for another appointment, they tell me I owe $100 here and $50 there, when it clearly states, after the deductible is met, I am only supposed to pay a $10 co-pay for each visit to a doctor who is in network and $15 to a Doctor out of network. They have names for their fees “Out of pocket” and “customer portion”. Like the $93 charge for removing wax from my sons ear. “WITH A Q TIP” So beware of their billing department for if you contest them, they report it to an outside creditor for collections. That $50 here and $93 there adds up to a real nuisance. more

I have gone to Carol Watson several times and she is fabulous!! She is very professional and takes the time to listen to your concerns. She makes you feel comfortable and really listens to what you tell her. You are never rushed like you are on some other doctors offices. Carol has a way of putting you at ease while addressing your medical issues. If you are looking for a new doctor I would highly recommend Carol - she is great!! more
