horrible they dont care 10/25/2011

Though I was warned of the incompetence if Doctors at Banfield, I was hoping for a different result. My husband and I adopted a 1 1/2 year old pointer in April of 2011. We felt as though we were helping our puppy by providing her with the Banfield wellness plan. We were naive in the fact that Banfield increases their prices to later discount services for the sake of providing a discount to us wellness plan patience. After bringing our Sick puppy in for an exam (not eating, vomiting, large golf ball size lump on her rib cage, diarrhea, lathargic) we were instructed to get an Xray and some other expensive procedures. Diagnosis: Gas & Stool in rectum. The difference in standard amount and our Ins amount @ 10%. We brought our puppy home and noticed her getting worse. Trying everything, we changed Vets and took her to a qualified Vet. After taking more Xrays and a blood screening test, found that she had Cancer (rare form for a 2 year old) and due to the constant break down in her blood cel more

If you love your pet DO NOT TAKE THEM near this place!!! 1/24/2011

I originally signed up for a pet plan in order to get my dog's teeth cleaned. since I have substandard service since!! The service techs aren't pet friendly at all!! My dog is a people dog and she hates everybody there to include the vets!! more

Love Banfield at White Oak :) 1/14/2011

I have taken my kitten there since I got her in August, 2010. The staff has been great, and have shown a genuine interest in the health and well-being of my baby girl. After every appointment, I got a call from the staff checking in on how my cat was doing. When I scheduled her to get spayed, they called me the day before I was to drop her off and offered to take her a day early because of the bad weather we were to get the next day. It saved me a trip in the ice and snow! They even let me call in and check in on her to make sure she was okay and put my mind at ease, they never made it seem like an inconvenience like most places can do! I LOVE Banfield at White Oak, and I recommend it to all my friends with pets, especially when it comes to the Wellness Plans. :) more

NEVER GO HERE....NEVER 12/10/2010

My first visit was ok. I dissmissed some of the slackness of service because they were busy. So, I signed my dog up for a wellness plan. Every visit after that was terrible. First, they have no communication skills. They schedule appointments for you without telling you (i'm sorry, they call you the day before - this happened twice). Once you go to an appointment, you wait longer than a walkin. Or sometimes you wait while they talk and play in the back office. Once, they had me leave my dog for routine vacs. After I picked him up and got him home, it was evident they did not give ANY water. He was sooo thirsty when he got home. Second, the techs/receptionists are terrible. They are unorganized, rude, and slow! more

Banfield at White Oak 9/8/2010

I understand both sides as I too have had to wait; however, they have been wonderful with my Chi-Poo who has had liver issues. It may take a while for a doctor to get in there, but they have always answered my questions and addressed my concerns. I have saved quite a bit of money with the plan. My other dog has always seen a private vet and it is no different with them other than it costs me alot more. The reason I haven't switched her to Banfield is the fact there isn't one close by my house and she doesn't ride well. more

HORRIBLE 8/17/2010

I would not recommend going to Banfield Animal Hospital at White Oak. The people that work there are VERY rude. They make you wait for a long time and only spend all of five minutes in the room with you. I have definitely canceled my renewal and will NOT be going back there. more

DONT GO TO BANFIELD! 5/7/2010

'DONT GO TO BANFIELD!'\r \r ThIs is the worst place ever to take your pets they are too big for their britches. You will go in and just wait and wait around for them. They make you do all these tests that arent necessary. you will spend so much money at this place and not get results. i used to work at the banfield at white oak i know them personally and take it from me you dont want to go here!!!! they are rude. the only ones who are decent there are Dr. Blue and Jamie the Csr. Horrible horrible place not recommended at all. We just spent over 600 in 3 days and still do not know whats wrong. They dont call you back. they only care about your money. do not do not go here there are a lot of people to back me up. rediculous. I recommend a private vet and not a chain,. They only care about money and not your pet. more

Worst Place Ever 3/4/2010

I thought I was doing my research by checking out the office and getting details on the plans before purchasing. At first glace it all sounded great. I made an appointment for my pets to get one shot, during that visit my opinion drastically changed. Before the appointment I had decided to purchase a plan for each pet. After checking in at the front desk I waited in the exam room for over 45 minutes before a Vet Tech even showed up (this is for a scheduled appt). Then they wanted to do their "process of tests" on both dogs then. All I wanted was a kennel cough vaccine. At the time they were 5 months premature for their yearly vaccines, so I was shocked when they wanted to give it to them then. I refused and said I'd bring them back when their annual shots were due. Caring, Wonderful, SKILLED! 7/31/2009

I have the Feline Wellness Plan with Banfield. It has saved me a LOT of money over the years. My cat is 6 now and has started to have a few health problems. I think I have saved around $3,000 so far! The staff is great and Dr. Frederico is wonderful and caring. She is THE BEST! Thank you Banfield for looking after my cat, Frodo. Kathy Currie more

Skilled, Respectful, Honest, Accommodating 10/17/2008

I have several priorities regarding the medical care of my dog, and Dr. Perry has demonstrated the ability to exceed my expectations. She is a veterinarian who genuinely loves all animals; additionally, Dr. Perry exhibits the aptitude, educational background, and social skills to ensure that the health and overall well-being needs of my dog are met at every visit. Despite having a busy schedule, I have noticed that she develops a positive rapport with co-workers, pets, as well as pet owners. \r \r The Client Services staff is welcoming and friendly at all times. In my experience, Amanda and Jamie have consistently been courteous, empathetic, attentive, and organized. They maintain positive attitudes and are good listeners when discussing any and all pet concerns, illnesses, or medications. \r \r When taking today's economical issues into consideration, signing up for the Optimum Wellness Plan is a sensible decision for any pet owner who is on a tight budget. Dr. Perry is the Best 1/15/2008

I have had my pets at this Banfield for over 4 years. I moved from the Banfield on Timber Drive. My schnauzer had brain cancer and Dr. Perry was wonderful in explaining what was wrong and what options I had. We used prednisone to try to extend his life. When I finally had to put him down, Dr. Perry came into the room and talked with me prior to the procedure and comforted me afterward. She is a wonderful, helpful and compassionate Dr. I see alot of negativity about some of the Banfield's around, but I believe that they are franchised and you cannot use one to compare to another. I have had a fantastic experience and will continue to go there with my other pets. more
